Dear Santa,I do not want Keller James for Christmas. I will not fall for him, no matter how charming or irresistible or famous he is. I will not be swayed by his skills in the kitchen or by his British accent. I’m going to win the Great Gingerbread Bake Off and no one is going to stand in my way. Not even Keller. All kisses are off. I mean all bets. All bets are off. And all his clothes. Grr, … And all his clothes.
Grr, never mind. I’ll figure this out myself.
XOXO,
Ginger Winter
Warning:
Reindeer Falls is more naughty than nice. They’re over-the-top Christmas with merrily-ever-afters guaranteed. These stories are novella length for quick holiday binging. Enjoy!

In this next Christmas novella we get Ginger and Keller, Ginger is a baker and she has been entered into a Food Network competition and one of her competitors is professional chef Keller James, she has to fight her attraction to this hot chef and his British accent so she can focus on winning and collecting the prize money to open her own bakery. Keller is wanting more out of his life as a professional chef with his own tv show and the town of Reindeer Falls has drawn him in especially when he meets Ginger Winter. He is immediately attracted to her and wants more with her, so he spends a few days getting know her better beyond the competition and he realizes he is falling hard for his Ginger Spice. This was super cute and I loved how the author incorporated the Food Network competition because it felt like I was truly watching a tv show. Super cute and a fun read.
This series is too adorable for words. I love Ginger and Keller. Their dynamic is awesome and my only complaint is that I want more! I loved it. This little town has me wanting to live there!
This book had so many things I love.
Christmas Love Story… Check
Hot British Guy… Check
Baking Show Competition… Check
I mean how can you pass up all that goodness? You can’t and quite honestly you shouldn’t. I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Ginger and Keller was magnetic. I’m falling more in love with Reindeer Falls. I can’t wait for the last book. These are going to be my kick off to the holiday books every season.
I am absolutely loving these holiday themed novellas, cannot get enough of them. I loved Keller and Ginger, and boy, I can’t wait for Noel’s book!
Ginger is the youngest Winter sister and most likely the sweetest. All she’s ever wanted was to be a baker and when Food Networks Gingerbread Bakeoff comes to Reindeer Falls, Ginger is determined to win it! Keller James is a surprising distraction and obstacle in this goal. Gorgeous and charming British host to another Food Network show, he’s blatantly pursuing Ginger, but Ginger is determined to keep her eye on the prize…can’t a girl have her gingerbread and eat it too?
Ginger is most often described as “adorable” and she truly is. This one is a little less sexy than Holly’s book, IMO, and more sweet and swoony, complete with Jana’s trademark humor and hilarious inner monologues her heroines are known for. I really enjoyed it and really wanted some cookies while reading it, ha! Looking forward to Noel’s book,
Jana Aston has a way of painting the most vivid imagery with her words. While reading this, I felt like I was watching a Christmas special on the Hallmark channel, and I absolutely loved it! (The fact that there was an actual Hallmark movie playing on the tv in the background had nothing to do with this.) This was such a happy and sweet novella that held all the usual humor that you’ve come to expect from Jana. This has really put me in the spirit of the holidays. I can’t wait to read the conclusion of the Reindeer Falls series!
Oh my goodness. Seriously I loved this book. Funny and sexy and all the feels.
This is the second book in the reindeer falls series and Ginger Spice Winter is just adorable ( Even though she hates it). Keller James the sexy Englishman doesn’t take no for an answer. I loved him and I loved her, but together they are magical. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Bring on Noel.
This book is absolutely adorable. The magic that Ginger & Keller has is undeniable. The instant connection that Ginger and Keller has is truly magical and together they are absolutely perfection. Truly another amazing read that will have you hooked and will have you wanting to visit Reindeer Falls. I absolutely love everything about this book. I swear Jana can do no wrong. Truly a magical read that everyone one must one click.
Ginger Winter is determined to win Great Gingerbread Bake Off and no hot Brit with a swoony accent is going to distract her from her mission. Or isn’t he?
Ahhh! I loved this second installment of Reindeer Falls! Ginger and Keller are fun and snarky and witty, did I mention fun? Ooooh and sexy too! I have a thing for hot Brits and their accents (I’m a self-confessed Tom Hardy lover) and Keller is all that hot Britishness rolled up into a gorgeous chef. Talk about a dream guy… And Ginger? Perfect and perfect for her chef. Reindeer Falls sure is a yummy place, and I cannot wait for the next installment, The One Night Stand Before Christmas.

“Anything is possible at Christmas. Have a little faith in the magic.”
Ginger is a fantastic baker in the small town of Reindeer Falls and gingerbread is her specialty. She is talented and sweet and has dreams of opening her own bakery one day. She is ecstatic to be a contestant on The Great Gingerbread Bake-off and hopes a win will put her one step closer to making Ginger’s Bake Shop a reality.
Keller James is a celebrity chef on a Food Network cooking show and he’s in town for the Gingerbread bake off. After tasting a delicious gingerbread cookie at the inn he is staying at he can’t stop from inquiring about the baker. When he meets Ginger, he is flirty and interested. However, when she meets him again the next day, he’s not a judge on the show like she assumed. He’s her competition.
If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread is utterly delightful and full of Christmas magic. It is a lighthearted read with tons of fun and puts you in the festive mood for the holidays. I loved it! Ginger and Keller are awesome together. Bouncing between witty banter, uncontrollable fantasies, sweet swoony moments, and smoking hot chemistry, I couldn’t get enough of these two!! They are hilarious together and know how to have a good time.
“I’m fairly certain that the only thing I’d enjoy more than bantering with you is kissing you.”
Ginger is so funny. I loved getting into her head because every time she thinks about Keller it either makes you laugh or turns you on. And Keller! GAH, I loved him. He is a sweetheart and knows exactly what he wants. He goes all in to get to know Ginger and I loved that he was so sincere and enjoys Ginger for who she is. He is such a swoonfest!!
“This town, the people. You. It all reminds me of what’s really important. Of what I’m missing.”
“What are you missing, exactly?”
“Something real.”
Overall, If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread is another sweet treat to devour from the Reindeer Falls series! I loved it!!
So stinking sweet! Ginger is a gingerbread maker (naturally) and Keller is a famous chef on the Food Network (British! Sigh). They are in a hot and heavy baking competition. That’s not the only thing hot and heavy in Reindeer Falls! This sweet little novella had my mouth watering for more than one reason!! Sugar and spice and everything Naughty AND Nice!!
If You Give A Jerk A Gingerbread is Book number two in the Reindeer Falls novella series. It is also Ginger Winters story. Ginger is a baker who’s ultimate dream is to own her very own bakery. So when a tv show baking competition comes to town, she’s all in. Ginger is miffed when she finds out celebrity chef, Keller James, is one of her competitors. She tries her hardest to win the competitions all the while Keller is trying to get her attention. Keller is a sweet, British man who is very interested in Ginger. The two of them had instant chemistry and lots of witty banter. This was a really cute book and I can’t wait to read the next one. Good job Ms. Aston!
The second of our wonderful Reindeer Falls stories centers around our wonderfully quirky younger sister Ginger and her quest to win the Great Gingerbread Bake Off. Is Keller flirting with her to try and throw her off her game and beat her? Is he just trying to steal her recipes? I mean, he is a man of the world, a success in his own right. What does he really need her for? Funny and quirky story that further reels you into wanting to live in this magical, fictional town. Feel the magic, let it take you over, believe in the miracle.
Ginger & Keller are a fab couple for a Christmas romance. He woos her by spending time with her doing every day chores. Ginger can’t believe Keller, a tv chef would want her, but her does and wins her heart with the best gingerbread house ever built.
Well, just go ahead and slap me, I’m in Christmas novella heaven. Seriously, what is Jana doing in her writing cave? She’s gonna convert me and I’m going to hate her for it.
Except I’m really not because Keller is so freaking dreamy. He BAKES, guys. BAKES. Like actual baked goods and he makes breakfast and did I mention he’s British?
BRITISH.
I have a weakness for that accent.
And so does Ginger. You met her in the first Reindeer Falls novella. She’s sister to Holly, the lovely lady who fell in love with her boss.
But that’s not the focus here.
Here we follow Ginger and her time on the Great Gingerbread Bake-off show thing she’s filming and guaranteed to win. Basically.
However. Keller.
Yep, he’s a sexy wrench in her plans. One I’d let mess with my plans any day of the week. There’s just something about that accent. And that smirk.
Anyway, sexy meets Hallmark here. Again. Jana freaking nailed it. I’m down for the next book, just whenever she wants to release that baby.
I love Christmas, I love baking, and I freaking loved this book! It has all the angst, and lust of hallmark wanna be. Ginger and Keller are amazing! His accent had me swooning. I can’t wait for Noel and Santa! This book was ginger spice and everything nice!
Ok I am totally in love with Ginger and Keller!! Jana Aston is one of my favorite authors to read! She has the awesome ability to mix humor with romance in a way I don’t find too often! I find myself wishing I could live in these worlds she builds. I want to move to Reindeer Falls and find my own Keller! Great book!!
Ginger Winter is in fact a “ginger” who bakes gingerbread. She is the super adorable Winter sister who stars in Jana Aston’s If You Give A Jerk A Gingerbread. The Reindeer Falls series is comprised of standalone holiday novellas that are a perfect blend of spicy and sweet.
Where to start? I loved the premise, the plot and the characters! Ginger is delightful in her whole-hearted devotion to her dreams and her town. Her foil is Keller James, a celebrity chef and a competitor in the Great Gingerbread Bake Off. Ginger and Keller have great chemistry, and their banter is flirty and fun. I melted when Keller gave Ginger the best-ever nickname. Both characters are amply developed, and I couldn’t get enough of either of them.
Ms. Aston’s description of the town of Reindeer Falls made me wish that I could visit. The town is as picturesque and quaint as any you’d find in a holiday movie. I enjoyed the delicious descriptions of all the foods prepared for the baking competition. When Keller is cooking, I was ready to line up for a taste of his creations!
If You Give A Jerk A Gingerbread is an absolutely charming way to kick off the holiday season!
So charming!!! James is a very charming hero. Ginger was just so cute and adorable. These two together completely charmed me. I loved their banter. I loved how they couldn’t stop looking at each other. His cute nicknames for her. Her silly flirtation with him. The whole book was one big charm fest and I loved it! What a great Christmas novella to put a smile on your face. I still want to live in Reindeer Falls. It sounds like Christmas heaven!
So much fun!!!
Ginger and a Keller’s story was definitely your favourite Christmas movie brought to life – with a dash of dirty to spice it up. Witty banter, innocent innuendo and the Jana Aston brand of humour I love.
If you don’t smile and LOL while reading this one you deserve a stocking full of coal! Bring on book 3 of this awesome series.
I received an arc of this book.
