Dear Santa,I do not want Keller James for Christmas. I will not fall for him, no matter how charming or irresistible or famous he is. I will not be swayed by his skills in the kitchen or by his British accent. I’m going to win the Great Gingerbread Bake Off and no one is going to stand in my way. Not even Keller. All kisses are off. I mean all bets. All bets are off. And all his clothes. Grr, … And all his clothes.
Grr, never mind. I’ll figure this out myself.
XOXO,
Ginger Winter
Warning:
Reindeer Falls is more naughty than nice. They’re over-the-top Christmas with merrily-ever-afters guaranteed. These stories are novella length for quick holiday binging. Enjoy!

Hallmark movie + a Food Network-style bake-off x sex = a lovely holiday read. You’d think it would be rot-your-teeth Christmas fluff but Aston’s clever writing adds fiber to the recipe, which it gives her novella trio ownership over its cheesiness. It might be an iced gingerbread cookie of a novel, but it’s whole wheat gingerbread.
This is the second book I’ve read in this series. Just as cute and funny as the first.
This is book 2 of 3. I am loving this little Christmas series by Jana Aston. This book is shorter, such as the first one, but still a great book. Cannot wait to finish the next book and series.
I am loving Reindeer Falls!
Ginger and Keller have chemistry that Ginger doesn’t want to acknowledge. Once she finally gives in will she see the connection that they have is real?
This was a sweet holiday romance. I have loved finding these books and will be reading the next one soon…maybe even tonight lol!
#KUread
If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread (Reindeer Falls #2) by Jana Aston is a contemporary, holiday rom-com novella told in first person, single POV.
Ginger is a contestant on Food Network’s The Great Gingerbread Bake-off, hoping to win the prize money so she can open her own bakery. When she sees celebrity chef, Keller James, she assumes he’s in town as a guest judge, and is shocked to learn that he’s also a contestant. It’s not fair! He has his own show. He doesn’t need the prize money. So why is he competing? And why can’t she stop thinking about how sexy he is? And is he flirting with her out of genuine interest, or just to throw her off her game?
I really enjoyed this holiday story! It was sweet, funny, and steamy. Like a Hallmark Christmas movie – only spicier. A delightfully delicious read. Highly recommended.
OH Keller and his sexy voice!!! But Ginger makes you laugh all way. What a perfect holiday romance read.

This one was a delight! Keller and Ginger are fun and feisty. She is addled by her hero-worship of him until she discovers he is her competition. She has dreams for the prize money and he is already successful so she will give her all to chase her dreams…and not him. Maybe.
She is so fun to watch her go from one extreme to the other on her emotional roller-coaster while he is steadfast in his desires and cool as a cucumber…unless he is within 5 feet of her.
I am having a blast with this series and can’t wait to read the next!
Ginger and Keller are fabulous. This is my favorite book of the series. I loved how chronically adorable Ginger is and how much passion she has for her dream. I love that Keller falls for her right away and they fast-track their romance. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved it. The baking competition element of the story is very entertaining and the town of Reindeer Falls is a special place for the setting. I also really like the way the author builds on the sister relationships from book one.
Overall, this was a quick, enjoyable read for the season and I really liked it.
I love this absolutely adorable, funny and sweet holiday romance. I am addicted to those holiday baking shows and this is one of those wrapped up in a fun romance.
This is a story low on angst but full of this author’s fun humor and quirky characters. The audiobook is the best entertainment at Christmas time and I think I’ll be re-listening when I need Christmas in July!
-5 Stars!-
I have to say I liked the name of the character in this book the best, Ginger Spice. We got a tiny bit of a glimpse of this story in the first book. While this story I didn’t love as much as the first one, this is the story that convinced me to reach out and purchase the anthology with all three stories from the author. You see, there are many different baked goods discussed in this story, I mean it is about a baking contest. And I wanted to have the recipes! When I reached out to the author about it, she said that I needed the actual written copy, because obviously they won’t put recipes in an audiobook. Yeah, yeah, I could have just purchased the ebook, but no, I want a physical copy if I’m going to buy a book for recipes. The other thing I loved about Ginger, besides the yummy sounding baked goods, was her adorable way of cursing. I tend to do that a lot, not that I never use the actual bad words, but for the longest time I didn’t, and I still don’t feel right using that kind of language in front of people, I’m guessing it’s my education career.
I liked this book the most from the series. The relationship between a man and a woman is often difficult. And if you want to learn more about this topic, read this book!)
The second novella for this little series, and while short it was still a good read. Ginger is participating in a reality baking competition, her hope is to win so she can start up her dream bakery. When Ginger meets Keller, a fellow contestant that just so happens to already be a baker with his own show, sparks fly. But Ginger needs to keep her head in the game and not let Keller distract her. Will Ginger be able to keep her eye on the prize or will the Englishman take her focus?
A cute and festive read, low on drama, high on chemistry with a few kisses thrown in. I give this 4 stars.
4 Cranky Stars
If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread is like a Hallmark movie I suppose. Sadly, I’ve never watched one since they don’t appeal to me. I know I know take my chick card immediately, yet I did like this cute little saucy book. Watching the ever-proper younger sister Ginger give her cookie, calm down I mean her fresh baked candied gingerbread cookies, to the sexy enigmatic Brit with his own Food Network show Keller fall in love was very aww shucks and made me smile.
Ginger Spice Winter has a dream and it’s very attainable if she just wins the Great Gingerbread Cook Off. She is a shoe in until she learns that Keller James a famed baker with his own show will be apart of it. She thinks he will just be a guest judge but nope he is a contestant. Her belief in herself starts to falter but she sticks to her guns. Ginger has always loved Christmas and her small town of Reindeer Falls she refuses to fall for a guy who will just leave when the show is over. That still doesn’t stop them from exchanging covert glances and innuendos that make Ginger blush. Keller wasn’t expecting to fall for the small town or the adorable baker Ginger. She is just a breath of fresh air who makes a killer cookie among other things. He tries to keep his distance, but he’s just drawn to her in every way. From her cute little holiday dresses, to her inability to curse, and the fact that she is a superb baker Keller wants it all with Ginger in Reindeer Falls.
Ok this one was unlike the first book it’s cuter and swoon worthy but it’s more PG than Hollys book. Ginger does find her naughty elf at one point and its honestly kind of funny. She’s just adorable and from experience it’s like the kiss of death when someone calls you cute or adorable. Keller was British what more does he need going for him ok just kidding but still he was sexy in that boy next door kind of way. I can’t wait to see what the third book has in store with Noel and Santa. Are you sensing a name theme with the Winter sisters? These are the perfect little holiday novellas to get you in the spirit and make you laugh along the way.
I have a girl crush on Ginger; it felt like I was looking mystery in the mirror while reading this because I do a LOT of internal dialogues when I’m trying to find a solution to my problems just like she does and was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.
Once again for a short story this was amazing read

Loved this one too! It’s a case of instalove and a fun reality TV bakeoff. Cute, short read to get you in the holiday spirit.

I’m loving this fun, flirty Christmas series!
When Ginger meets a celebrity chef she is thrilled and expecting him to be a judge for the gingerbreak bake off that is being televised. But when she learns that Keller James is a contestant as well, she’s furious with the jackal. Obviously he just wants to taste her gingerbread and steal her prize.
I loved the way Ginger thought and processed everything that was happening. She was freaking adorable in every way, despite the fact she hated being adorable. I love adorable and apparently Keller does too.
While we don’t get Keller’s point of view, this was written in a way that you can pretty much guess what he’s thinking and that is that yes, he wants to taste Ginger’s gingerbread and everything else she has.
We don’t get a lot of sister time like we did in the first book, but we are given enough to set us up for the next book. This is definitely steamy with lots of funny one liners and plenty of wit that had me grinning the entire time. The length is perfect for a quick read between holiday preparations but it didn’t feel over the top rushed.
I highly recommend this and the previous book for a lighthearted read to get you in the holiday spirit.
Absolutely loving these short Christmas reads! Ginger really is adorable and Keller adds the perfect amount of sugar and spice!
Not my fav of the three. But I did enjoy all the ginger things. I think it just felt unfinished. The whole cook off was different. I think I just wanted more irritation between the two.
This story will give you all of the feels that you would get from a great Hallmark movie. Keller is hot, British, romantic, and can cook. Ginger is a master baker who will make you giggle with her awkwardness. This story made me so happy!
I’m absolutely loving these novellas for Ms. Aston’s Reindeer Falls series. Little Christmas theme and definitely a little Christmas magic just add to the stories.
Ginger and Keller are both competing in an on-the-air bake-off. Competition is a mix of local and tv celebrity bakers. So I was tickled when Ginger first saw her tv crush. Ginger and Keller make a fabulously fun couple, but the little peek we get into Noel’s novella has me eager to start it.
I think these novellas can be read in any order, but if you plan to read them all, I do recommend reading them in order. Right now, I do think Ginger and Keller are my favorite (but that could be partly because I keep imagining Keller’s accent. YUM).
