Aiden Buchanan was fairly normal, and that’s saying something. He and his three brothers had been raised by an abusive father and an absent mother, so the fact that he was mentally stable was a huge plus. His only weakness was women. Aiden loved women; absolutely adored them. Now, while he always had a special appreciation for the ladies, that all came to a blinding halt when he meets Denise … Hart. With one handshake, Aiden goes from an easy-going new boss at Buchanan Industries to a raving lunatic, hellbent on making Denise see the light. His light.
Denise Hart has worked her ass off for Buchanan Industries for five years. Promoted two years ago, she is now a finance account manager for a billion-dollar empire, and it’s everything she’s ever dreamed of. Growing up in a single-income family, she knows the value of a dollar, and she’s not going to let anything jeopardize her career. That is, until she meets Aiden Buchanan. An introduction and one handshake later, she’s hiding in the bathroom trying to come up with a game plan to avoid the man. But how long can you avoid your boss?
What happens when Aiden loses all sense of reason where Denise is concerned? A whole hell of a lot of office drama.

Women render Aiden awestruck and he adores any and all types. So imagine his surprise when that special appreciation for the ladies comes to an abrupt halt with just a handshake. Denise Hart doesn’t take anything she’s achieved for granted. She has worked hard to rise through the ranks of a billion-dollar empire. After growing up in a loving, single income family, Denise is well aware of the value of a dollar. She loves her job and is determined to prevent anything from interfering with her career. Least of all a handshake. But Aiden Buchanan isn’t like any man she’s ever known. He’s gone from the easy-going boss to a raving lunatic in the blink of an eye. What happens when Aiden loses all reason regarding Denise and makes it his mission to make her see the light? His Light. Fireworks. That’s what happens.
I’m really enjoying the Buchanan brothers and seeing them finding their matches. I think a lot of what draws me in is the characters and the interrelationships. The Buchanans are a close-knit, bonded group of brothers, and I love seeing just how much they rely on each other and turn to each other for all of life’s issues. Aiden was a little more laid back than Mason and definitely a lot warmer, but still just as intense. He may have sampled a lot of women in his past, appreciating every single one, but once he found his match, he buckled down and steamrolled right ahead in a true alpha possessive manner. In fact, his immediate and focused pursuit of Denise shocked me a little, because I wasn’t expecting that level of intensity from him. Denise annoyed me a little bit. She was hardworking, caring, sweet, and sassy, but after a while her insecurities just started to grate. I understand her issues surrounding entering an interracial relationship. I’m Mulatto and married to a Caucasian man myself. It’s not always an easy world to navigate. That said, I felt she held onto that fear and was stubbornly refusing to move past it for too long. As a couple, they were definitely hot and intense. They had some truly steamy moments, and I loved seeing the love blossom so quickly. Just like with Mason and Shane’s story, If You Could Only Imagine was a quick, steamy read. I appreciate that there is some drama, but that it’s not the variety that overwhelms and consumes the reader. It’s more like a nice romantic dramedy that cleanses the mental palette. I’m still really looking forward to Gabriel and Michael’s books. The events that happened between the boys and their parents up to now, have me intrigued as to whether we’ll see more in future.
