Brianna can’t believe she’s inherited half of an Irish racehorse stud from a great-uncle she never knew existed. But when the lawyers get hold of her, she can’t resist the temptation to hop a plane and check it out. Even if it’s halfway around the world. Discovering the other owner is a gorgeous Irishman… well, that’s just icing on the cake!Declan doesn’t want a partner. Doesn’t need one as far … one as far as he’s concerned. When he finds Brianna snooping around, things get off to a rocky start. But if he wants to buy her half he’d have to sell or mortgage everything he owns, and even then it might not be enough.
Brianna must decide whether she should give up her career in Melbourne to move to Ireland permanently and find her place at the estate, or let Declan send this feisty Aussie back where she came from.

This was a sweet old style romance with some hotness. Not overly angsty or dramatic. I wish a few more authors would get back to the basics & not bombard us with language, silliness or out there sex. A real feel good type story with a girl from Oz, Brianna going to Ireland to check out a horse stud farm half of which she inherited.
Declan was a hot, easy going guy who worked hard as did our h. The story was quite descriptive of the scenery & the nitty gritty of running a horse stud, most of which I found interesting. Overall I enjoyed this tale & you need to read it to find see what the future holds for these two.

This is a beautiful story of family and the belief that things happen for a reason. She is a heir to half of her great uncle’s horse breed farm in Ireland. The other heir is Declan and young man he help raise. So she flies out there to determine if she wants to take up his offer.

He has also inherited half but he knows he will be unable to buy her out. They get off on the wrong foot. Can they work together? Will she to back home? Maybe maybe not

This is a small town romance with a great story line and believable characters. Declan and Brianna’s story is full of drama, humor, steamy scenes and a sweet love story. I am looking forward to reading more books by Caitlyn Lynch in the future.

I loved the connection that Declan and Brianna have with each other it is fun, with plenty laugh out loud moments in this lighthearted book. If Wishes Were Horses – This is my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was tickled pink and belly laughed my way quite a bit through the story. Well written, entertaining with plenty of humor keeping the reader immersed in the pages. The most of the characters are fun, likable and developed enough to add to Ms. Lynch’s entertaining descriptions. There was interesting information about what goes on with the management of this type of enterprise.
I skipped chapter thirteen because of the explicit sex, which I always find boring, unnecessary and in this case ridiculous since they only met two day previous. There’s more but those scenes don’t take up a complete chapter. There is infrequent usage of vulgar language, which I appreciate since as a real person I don’t use that language. This is a perfect story for a cuppa while snuggling on the sofa. Relaxing and a smile maker. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 5*
