After being unceremoniously sacked from her glamorous job at a gossip magazine, Ally Parker returns home to Combe St. Philip in the Cotswolds to lick her wounds. Making ends meet by cleaning and waitressing in the village pub, she is thrown a lifeline when her best friend, Hope, confides that she is marrying Prince Jonas of San Michele and asks her to take on the local PR role. Ally’s a pro when … a pro when it comes to celebrities, so this new job is a perfect fit, but things are never that simple. The wedding is under wraps until the official announcement in February and it’s the untimely arrival of Count Fredrik Jensson, Head of Security for the royal family that requires some fast thinking on her part. If there’s going to be village gossip, it’s not going to be about Hope, but about that sizzling kiss between Ally and Fredrik!
Deeply disapproving of any involvement by an ex-journalist from a gossip magazine in the wedding, Fredrik’s distrust cannot mask the sparks that fly between them — sparks that quickly flare into an inferno on their trip to the beautifully scenic principality of San Michele for the Prince’s wedding announcement.

A nice story about love and trust with a royal wedding thrown in for good measure. Sex implied and no foul language. Well written and well worth adding to your reading list.
A fun easy romantic story.
cute. like the 1st 1 about the princess to be’s brother.
A fun story with wonderful characters. I didn’t want to put it down.
I just had a hard time getting into this story. The characters were kind of shallow and while I finished the story it was just ok. Could just have been my state of mind however, so you may really enjoy it.
Good funny
Good pace! I cared about the characters. An enjoyable read
enjoyed the story
It was a fun escapist book. Found myself rooting for the heroine.
I enjoyed it.
This series is a really good read. Takes you to another place and happily ever afters. Characters are likeable and the town folk are typical but loveable.
A light, cheerful book.
“If the Shoe Fits” (nook) was an enchanting story. There were ups and downs for the main characters but a then a HEA.
What happens to Cinderella’s friends? I think I have read an earlier version of this … and am pretty sure I have read others about this particular pretend countries royalty. This is a fun one. You really must set aside reality and enjoy the fantasy. This one has a nice pace. Some great angst. Good romance. All wrapped up in a royal wedding.
The Bridesmaid’s Royal Bodyguard is the third book in the Royal Wedding Invitations series. Each story is by a different author and bits of them overflow, although they can each be read as a standalone. Ally lost her job and returns home. When her friend, Hope, asks her to do the PR for her marriage, Ally jumps at the chance. The head of security, Fredrik, informs Ally that she isn’t right for the job. But when Ally meets up with her former boss, Fredrik assumes the worst and thinks she is spilling secrets. Can they both find the truth in each other? Will they find more? This was another enjoyable story in this series.
Here’s a recipe for a terrific read: One slightly tortured heroine. Add one slightly damaged, hurting hero. Then add a wedding between their friends. Result? A story that will warm your heart! Ally Parker and Count Fredrik Jensson meet in an unusual way, just before they get together to help plan the wedding of their friends. (Ms. Fielding does a MOST excellent job explaining the circumstances; I cannot do it enough justice so I’ll leave it to her.) It takes a while for these two to learn that as a team, they can get the job done, AND work through their own issues. What a great story that gets them where they need to be! I was truly touched by Fredrik and loved the way Ally stood up for herself. Fredrick had such a hurting soul; he really resonated with me. He will make you want to take him home and give him some hugs. Both these characters will give you an enjoyable ride to their HEA! The Bridesmaid’s Royal Bodyguard is a standalone read, even as it is book 3 in the Royal Wedding Invitations series, and an amazing addition to this series. #royalweddinginvitation
