By the bestselling author of the Three Wise Men Box Set (USA Today bestsellers list November 2016) – a series of individual sexy contemporary Christmas romances. Read in any order and enjoy!Book 4: If Kisses Were SnowflakesNice with a touch of naughty… a new Christmas Wishes romance by Serenity Woods. When Angel Matthews books a vacation on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumbria at … Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumbria at Christmas, she plans to follow in the footsteps of St. Cuthbert and spend some time alone, to recover from the trauma of the past year, and to plan her future.
She doesn’t plan on being stranded by the tide, and having to hide in one of the refuge boxes for five hours in the wintry weather.
She doesn’t expect to be rescued by a Ragnar-Lothbrok lookalike who seems to think she’s his shield maiden.
And she certainly doesn’t anticipate the way he not only thaws her frozen heart, but sends her thermostat soaring.
A relationship with the wounded but wonderful Halvar Carlson is definitely going to put her on Santa’s naughty list. But how can she possibly say no to such a sexy Viking?

Lovely story set on Holy Island with descriptions that make you feel as it you are there. Many years ago I visited Lindisfarne Castle but didn’t have time to visit the rest of the Island so this was a treat. Angel Matthews is pulling herself out of depression and is determined that she will manage Christmas, on her own, without family and without asking for help. She didn’t however figure being stranded on the causeway, her car swept away, cold, wet and seeking refuge in a hut. When Halvar Carlson, a native of the Island, discovers her when he is crossing the causeway at the next low tide, she is near hypothermia and very much in need of rescue! In the end however they rescue each other. A lovely sexy romance set over the Christmas holiday period and the issue of depression is sensitively handled. Note: strong language.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

do enjoy Serenity Woods work, and this was no exception.
Two people who were broken in their own way discover each other during the Christmas season. Both attempting to heal and never anticipated finding someone to help them down that road.
You could feel some of the pain and anguish both Hal and Angel felt from their life experiences. Both Angel and Hal found an inner strength with each other. You could also feel the love and joy they found in his kids. There was instalove in this story, but it never felt like it. It just felt right. I also loved how they both handled his ex-wife.
This was a sweet, sexy holiday romance story. Maybe Santa was really looking out for them.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.

Christmas Wishes #4
Stellar story – as expected – this author always delivers thought provoking well-crafted plots with unforgettable characters. There is usually something educational along with sizzling romance and this book threw in Christmas wishes being fulfilled. Here I should probably mention that I could not put this book down and read through till 2:30am – I had to finish it…just in case you were wondering.
Angel Matthews has kept a journal for decades and addresses it to a man who is known to be a jolly granter of wishes. Since childhood she has dealt with an issue that was exacerbated on Christmas Eve one year ago. After hitting rock bottom she spent time looking and working on the issue and how she wants to achieve in the future. With this in mind she has decided to spend Christmas alone to ponder process and plan for the positive future she deserves. So, off she heads to Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island, a tidal island off the northeast coast of England. It is a tiny place with few inhabitants but frequent pilgrims and the road to it is completely covered when the tide is in. (You might enjoy googling – fascinating reading on Wikipedia).
Anyway, off she goes and though wanting to depend on nobody but herself finds herself rescued by Halvar Carlson. Hal is the father of two children, lives in Lindisfarne, has a b*tch of an almost ex-wife and a mean-spirited boss that is increasing the difficulties in his life. Well, Hal and Angel are drawn to one another but with the distance between their abodes see that getting together would most likely be little more than a holiday fling. But, what was supposed to be a bit of fun ends up being a healing interlude that may just provide them with the HEA they both so richly deserve.
What I Liked:
* The story – all of it
*Hal’s love for his children and well…him…what a man!
*Angel’s openness and willingness to state what she wants and reach out for it
*Getting to look over Angel’s shoulder as she writes in her personal journal
*The information about Lindisfarne – now on my bucket list
*The development of the relationship between Hal and Angel and their willingness to communicate openly and honestly with one another
*Hal’s children – Jamie and Brenna
*The honesty with which divorce and its impact on all family members was portrayed
*Well…let me see…what did I not like?
What I didn’t like:
*Rebecca – the ex-wife of Hal
*Charles – Hal’s boss
*…and that is about it…except that on the last page I really wished there were more pages to read…
Did I mention I loved this book? Even if I did…it is worth saying again 🙂
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
