The critically acclaimed, bestselling novel from Gayle Forman, author of Where She Went, Just One Day, and Just One Year. Soon to be a major motion picture, starring Chloe Moretz! In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little … from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, this will change the way you look at life, love, and family. Now a major motion picture starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia’s story will stay with you for a long, long time.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect the instant I opened this book to start reading it, but once I started I could not put this book down! The way it went back and forth between her reality where she is in her own head and then to the past to show the reader what her life was like is an interesting way to keep the story going. I couldn’t stop …
Such a moving story! This will stay with you for a long, long time. Make sure you have plenty of tissues!
Great book
I was blown away by how easy this was too follow in audio book format. With the the way the book is played i was concerned that it wouldn’t translate. It did so, beautifully.
As the even played out I found my emotion being drawn further Mia’s horrific day that just replayed with subtle but defining changes.
I know this isn’t a lengthy review …
Couldn’t stop reading. So good. All of these books are super GREAT
It kept me wanting to read more. I loved it cant wait to read the second one
I’d do almost anything to avoid pain. Maybe even checking out altogether. Wouldn’t you? But in this story Mia has to consciously make that choice, and what a choice it is. Gayle Forman combines the harsh reality of the accident and the ICU – a little overwhelming for me at the beginning – with the beautiful tenderness of Mia’s memories of friends …
Not easy enough to follow. No direction.
Loved this book. What you will do for your young love is shown wonderfully.
I enjoyed the opposite side of what could be an individual s real experience.
Good lord, Gayle Forman just guts me. So worth it though. This book made me laugh and cry and appreciate every damn second of life. If you like books like this check out The Goodbye Boyfriend: A Stand-Alone YA Contemporary Romance Novel (The Boyfriend Series Book 3)
I just got this book yesterday and I love it words can’t explain it
there were sections of the book where i felt it dragged a bit but on the whole, very good.
Great story
Artfully crafted and performed (audio book). This is my highest recommendation all year. Listen to it and the story world grows in your imagination. I can identify with time-frame, musicians, bands, family changing everything, the choices that are hard to make. Don’t miss this one.
I loved this book. Well-written with an interesting POV. Very original.
What a sad sad book but it was so good! I really enjoyed this book! I couldn’t wait to read the sequel!!
I have read this book more than once. I was invested in the characters and cried through a lot of it.
Liked, enough to read sequel and other works by author
I highly recommend this intense book. Unpredictable, poignant page turner!
