An epic story of forbidden love by K.M. Scott, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Heart of Stone and Club X Series!
One of the richest men in the world, Robert Erickson bought and sold all he wanted. People were no exception, including me, a penniless fighter. He found me living in a single room by day and fighting in the underground bouts by night.
I was to be family, the … night.
I was to be family, the son he never had. So he brought me to his home, but he had one rule: Don’t touch his daughters.
The first time I met Serena I knew I’d never be able to obey that rule. Beautiful and good, she was everything I’d ever dreamed of.
Our love was forbidden, but that only made her more tempting. Being with her could mean the end of me. I knew that and still I couldn’t stay away.
LOOK FOR IF YOU FIGHT (CORRUPTED LOVE #2) AND IF WE FALL (CORRUPTED LOVE #3) TOO!

I haven’t read this yet.
Didn’t appreciate the To Be Continued ending
Loved it.
Cliffhanger!
Better plot than the average book with good sex. Easy entertaining read.
If I Dream is the first book in KM Scott’s new series. It’s a great start. It ends with a cliffhanger and I hope I don’t have to wait too long for the next book, because I need to know what happens next.
Ryder is a fighter. He’s damaged, talented and strong. He is caring and nice to Serena. Serena is the first woman who is nice to him and they talk a lot. The more they talk, the closer they grow to each other. Their friendship is a secret and they want to keep it that way. They eventually fall in love, but then something happens that breaks them up.
Serena is a young and insecure woman who wants to get away from her father. She wants to go to college and then do a job she would love. She didn’t expect to fall for Ryder, but she falls hard for him. Ryder makes life better at home and she can’t imagine being without him for one day. She wants to fight for him. Ryder also fights for Serena.
It’s kind of a forbidden love story. Serena’s father forbids Ryder to date Serena. They can be friends, but not more than that. I really hate Serena’s father and I hated him more at the end. He only thinks about one thing and it’s not his family. Serena also doesn’t like her father, but she still listens to him and does what he wants for one reason.
There are a few twists and I was very shocked sometimes about what was happening. I definitely didn’t want to stop reading, because I wanted to know what would happen next and what would happen between Serena and Ryder. I hoped their relationship would be easier since their childhoods weren’t the best and they deserve happiness. I don’t agree with all the decisions Serena made. I hope she makes better decisions in the next book.
Wow! Ryder and Serena’s story is full of emotion, suspense and love. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and it keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I received an early copy for an honest review. The first book of her new series takes you on an emotional connection with the characters. Some you will dislike and some you will love to annoy you. The characters are well written and developed. Can’t wait to see what happens.
This book is one emotional ride that takes you on a tailspin with in the underworld. You have Ryder who is brought in as essentially a personal pitbull and his boss’s daughter Serene who cannot help but gravitate towards him. I love how their connection builds throughout this story as well. My heart broke for them so many times.
I have been a HUGE KM Scott fan for a long time, and this one honestly did not disappoint. I found myself wrapped up in the world that she created. While some may say it doesn’t seem realistic and such, I felt it could very much go with the type of family and world that Serene grew up in. You could tell right off that both Ryder and Serene are made for each other and even though two years apart, it did not diminish their feelings towards each other. There are some things that I am not HUGE fan of that happen in this book, however I felt it adds to the story and the reasonings behind some stuff.
Overall, I think this is a brilliant start to a brand new series by Scott and I NEED the second one like STAT!!! Especially after that ending!
I can’t find the words
Enjoyed the story.
