This is #20 of the Heroes for Hire series!Ice wanted only one thing in her life, and that was Levi—and maybe someone who was a blend of both of them. When he asked her to marry him, she was thrilled, but now she’s struggling to pin down a wedding date for fear he’d been caught up in the moment and didn’t really want to go through with it. When the compound is attacked, and they are forced to go … forced to go on the offense, she realizes what’s truly important.
Levi is infuriated that Ice refuses to set a wedding date. He’s always loved her, and there will never be anyone else for him. This fact is reinforced as they come under attack by a military group trying to overthrow a government that he aided.
As the bullets fly and the body count mounts, who says you can’t have your cake and your icing too!

Finally we get to the point where things come to head for Ice and Levi in regards to when they will get married but of course we some bad guys to deal with, which us super frustrating but we get to see again while everyone including Ice and Levi are amazeballs at their jobs. We get to see old friends, have some laughs, get antsy with the tension and danger and have one hell of a happy ending!!!

It is their compound, their home. Levi and Ice built it to work with and safely hold their family made of brothers and sisters in arms, men and women who have and do stand beside them during missions, then sit beside them at the dinner table.
It has been a long journey to come this far with one true constant, the love between Levi and Ice. While they dance around a date to say their vows, the compound comes under attack.
But their “family” is tired of seeing Levi and Ice hesitate to take the step everyone knows they want. And they are not used to sitting idly by.
Ice’s Icing is chock full of action, suspense, loyalty, and love. Simply Awesome!
After helping set up Badger’s group of men into marriage, and being proposed to by Levi, why is Ice still dragging her feet? There are a lot of excuses and it’s driving Levi crazy. But when the compound is attacked, they need to protect what’s theirs.. Corrupt governments, drug lords, mercenaries. Got to take care of business! Then there are visits from her Dad and someone else who stepped aside, for the soul mates, Ice is in for a doozy! But it will be so worth it, My favorite out of all the stories~
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This is book #20 in the Heroes for Hire series, it can be read as a standalone story.
We have been waiting for this story for forever, the team have a huge surprise planned for Levi and Ice, the enemies have a dramatic event planned for the compound. Can Ice and Levi keep their friends safe from the never-ending list of enemies they have acquired? Can Ice get all her dreams and the icing on the cake as well.
Loved this story, action packed as usual, loads of drama and emotion. Definitely well-written and the storyline was well thought out.
This is book 20 in the Heroes For Hire series and it features Ice and Levi, plus a large host of characters from this series. Ice is having a difficult time setting a wedding date. She’s waited so long for the proposal but worries Levi is feeling pressure to actually marry her. While she’s struggling with this issue, someone tries to take over their compound.
The action is non-stop! Emotions are running super high and the tears are flowing. This is a long awaited book that did NOT disappoint. Surprises await you! I am in love with their love! It’s a dedication and adoration that is nearly tangible. I am in love with their pure and beautiful love! BRAVO!
This is an excellent addition to this wonderful series and just a really good book. Ice and Levi are quite the couple (You meet them way back in, Levi, which is the very first book in this series). This is a fast read that offers plenty of heart and deep emotions, while also delivering a high octane, action packed, danger filled, thrill ride.
Honestly I didn’t get Ice’s uncertainty about Levi wanting to get married, he had been pestering for a date for ages. But this was done beautifully by all involved especially after the stress and worry of the beginning of this story, the suspense and action. I loved it, Ice is a beautiful woman with a soft soul and deserves her happy ever after so this was definitely the icing on her cake. A wedding I would have loved myself, all done exactly right for both Ice and Levi, I can’t wait for more.

This is a story that has been in the making since the first “Heroes for Hire” book, Levi’s Legend, came out.
Levi is the founder of the company, Legendary Securities. Since then, he and Ice have been its leaders and have run the company. They are in almost every book. This is because they are usually personally involved in almost all of the missions. Although Levi and Ice got engaged later in another book, the two remain single, albeit together.
Levi, Ice, the people who work for them, and all of their spouses live in a huge compound. In this story, the “heroes” discover there are soldiers surrounding their compound and are ready to storm it. The heroes attack and overcome the soldiers. However, they are concerned that it may happen again if they don’t find out who they are.
Also, there is a secondary theme that runs through the story. Levi wants to set a date to marry Ice, and she keeps putting him off.
In spite of that, this is primarily a suspense. In fact the action starts immediately. There is so much action and adventure in this book, as I read it, I felt like I was watching a war movie.
Absolutely love this series and with so many of the past characters (who had their own individual books) playing strong parts in this book, I might just make it my favorited the series. So many strong men and so many strong women in this book. The ending was absolutely fantastic
I looked forward to this book and was definitely not disappointed in the book when I read it. The story line in these books is written so that it is an easy book to read yet it does not take away from the greatness of the book! I love the characters in this series and how they all interact and are brought back into current books from past books. I love the story lines focused around those that have served in the military and how these books gives these vets a chance to continue living an awesome life even though some have had horrible horrible experiences. I love how the characters all work together to make each other happy and make their lives worth living. I love how the women in this series are treated with respect and as equals. This particular book brings two of the main characters from the series together again and is written from their view points. It also shows how even though you may love someone more than anything, sometimes you have to get past insecurities to make things work. Love this book and love this series!

This booked pushed a lot of buttons, feel good, tear jerker, anxiety for the team. HEA. It was a tangle of emotions; and I have to admit as much as I love Ice and Levi, (who wouldn’t, they truly are made for each other); my heart hurt for Bullard. It was definite feel good worthy as everyone came together to help Ice and Levi with their future. It was heartwarming to see so many people in one book. It was like family getting together for the holidays. Even had the stress as the compound was attacked! You don’t need to have read the other books to read and enjoy this one, but why not indulge yourself? Thank you Dale Mayer, Booksprout for the arc. I voluntarily offer my unsolicited opinions and thoughts.
Perfect in every way! I have been reading this series and have watched the relationship between Levi and Ice grow so I have been looking forward to this book. It did not disappoint! Both Levi and Ice are such strong and talented individuals it has been fun watch them develop in these tales. In this book, between the attacks on the compound, trying to discover who would do this, the follow up in another country to keep them safe and the wedding planning, it was a page turner to say least! Dale Mayer has a way of combining fierce loyalty, strength, honor and love that comes out in her books in the best way possible. I want to say more but can’t without revealing too much. I will say I really enjoyed this book and will read it again!
The epilogue hints at the next book which includes Johan who has been working with Bullard in Africa for the last 5 years and has come to Ice and Levi’s compound to see how things worked there. Missing drugs and a girl named Joy. Looks like a great read as well!
What? Trouble in Paradise?
Levi and Ice got engaged in the SEALs of STEEL series’ Book 8 “The Final Reveal.” And now they’re at odds about setting a date and planning for the wedding. Each is foot-dragging with the arrangements concerned that the other might not be ready to marry the but doesn’t want to hurt the other because Levi and Ice really do love each other. Their frustrated discussions are put slightly on hold when an army of mercenaries stages an assault on the Legendary Security compound. Now the whole group has to come together STAT to repel the raiders, identify and neutralize whoever initiated the action, and reestablish the security of the compound and its residents. Will this dangerous interruption bring a new perspective to this leadership couple’s plans? Not telling. You’ll have to read it for yourself, and I assure you that you’ll love it.

Will she won’t she? Just when will Ice set a date for her wedding to Levi. It seems as though she can’t decide. Add this to the threatened invasion of the compound and Ice has lots of problems.
This is yet another well written and entertaining story which I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.
Finally, the much anticipated of Ice and Levi. We’ve known of their true and deep love for each other and I was excited when they got engaged. Next question was when would they get married and would it be smooth sailing.
While Levi is trying to pin Ice down on a date for their wedding, their compound in Texas comes under seige. And not just be one or two people this time. Who is behind this attack? And why? And with some of their crew off on other missions, they call in reinfocements, including Bullard and some of his men.
It was great to have Bullard make an appearance in this story. And I love how the sense of family and community was brought out in this storyline. Plus the little surprise at the end. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.
My first read of the decade from one of my favourite authors.
Ice and Levi, what a couple, will they ever get married?
This story had plenty of action, drama, injuries and heart stopping moments before we get to a happy ending. I loved the surprise as well.
Great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I have been waiting for the next chapter in Ice and Levi’s story since the first book in the series and I have to say it was worth the wait. This book showed another side to Ice besides the warrior helicopter pilot and I loved to see this side of her. There was a lot of emotion and action packed into this book. Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.

was kindly provided this book as an ARC; in exchange for my honest review. This is book 20 of … in the Heroes for Hire series. This book takes it back ‘home’ to Texas with Levi and Ice and the rest of the old crew.
Ice and Levi are engaged, but Ice keeps putting off planning a wedding; saying “Levi wasn’t ready yet.” (Personally I think it was a case of nerves —for various reasons.)
The Texas compound is attacked; mobilizing the entire staff not on assignment into “fixing” things as only they can. The ‘attacks’ keep coming and it seems as if a wedding will never happen.
Of course Levi & Ice get their HEA, but it’s certainly not what they expected. We get appearances by Bullard and some of his crew and Ice’s dad.
As usual this is a well written, easy-to-read book. It was nice to have the story back at ‘home base’ again.

Ice and Levi are engaged, but she refuses to set the wedding date. The compound comes under attack and the hits are coming left and right. The drama is high and not everyone is left unscathed. This book left me on the edge of my seat wondering if all the crew would make it through or not or if there would a funeral or two in the future. There’s a few surprises and a nice ending. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommended it. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.
I really enjoyed Ices Icing .
This story has been long awaited for me .
Ice and Levi still haven’t come to an agreement on their wedding date . The group has decided if they don’t take it upon themselves to plan Ice and Levi never will . During all that the compound has come under attack and the group find themselves defending the compound and themselves from the bad guys . This story is fantastic of course it’s action packed , suspenseful and a few surprises . All out fabulous .
I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .
