“What made this ebook such pleasurable reading was not the murder or even the Police procedure, but the rather wonderful cast of characters that the author, Emma Jameson, has created to populate her world. In the space of about 184 pages, Emma has managed to give us a whole collection of individuals, each very nicely rounded out and real. Even very minor players – such as the tall PC who finds … the pistol seems to be alive and obviously has a life outside the book.” — Tony Cole, eBookanoid.com
Anthony Hetheridge, ninth Baron of Wellegrave, Chief Superintendent for New Scotland Yard, never married, no children, no pets, no hobbies, and not even an interesting vice, will turn sixty in three weeks. With the exception of his chosen career, too sordid for his blue-blooded family to condone, his life has been safe and predictable. But then he meets Detective Sergeant Kate Wakefield – beautiful, willful, and nearly half his age. When Hetheridge saves the outspoken, impetuous young detective from getting the sack, siding with her against Scotland Yard’s powerful male hierarchy, his cold, elegantly balanced world spins out of control. Summoned to London’s fashionable Belgravia to investigate the brutal murder of a financier, Hetheridge must catch the killer while coping with his growing attraction to Kate, the reappearance of an old flame, and the secret that emerges from his own past.
Deadly Trio: Ice Blue, Blue Murder, Something Blue appeared at #19 on the New York Times bestseller list on July 13, 2014.

Has become a favorite author. I do love the characters and the plots of the stories are unpredictable. Police procedural.
This book was a fun read. I went back and read the whole series. It reads as though it was written by someone from the States rather than England, but they are still fun, easy books to read.
Loved it. Need to read more.
Unique concept. Simply put, I liked it and that makes it a winner.
Great Book
Great new characters, love reading stories from U.K.Had to get next one in series.
Really enjoy the characters. Mystery is strong. I have read 2 and will read the third. Nice to get away from news and into story.
OK book Interesting story Easy to follow plot and at times quite predictable
I was really intrigued by this first book and am looking forward to reading the next from this author. There were enough twists and turns to keep you reading but it was tricky trying to discover the solution before the end of the book.
Very good book it was a can’t put it down book. First English book I read and really enjoyed!
Fast read and easu to follow
Truly enjoyed. Would love to read more of this author
I thought it was a great book “a real page turner”
Lord and Lady Hetheridge series is a Cinderella theme with a dose of day to day family issues all wrapped up in a good cozy police mystery. Nice, quirky people (not counting the bad guys).
I love to read a variety of books and this was a really good book.
Fun read and enjoyed the characters. Plan to get the rest in the series
I like Brit TV thrillers so I thought I’d try one of the books. Wonderful characters…I want to see them all again. In my mind I already have most of the roles cast…their descriptions and personalities are so clearly drawn. Can’t wait for this one to be adapted for Brit TV. I know I checked romantic, but that may be misleading…it’s definitely …
I love to read about stories set in England. I also love excellent detective novels. Both of these like are combined in this book. I like the concept so much, I purchased the next book in the series and just start it today. I recommend this author and subject matter to one and all.
I really enjoyed the mystery, and the characters were different and not predictable.
This is a book which never ends, seemingly. It went on and on and on. Main characters were okay if you like rule-breakers (I do). In some ways they were too perfect, in others too stupid.
Villains were predictably nasty, with few, if any, redeeming qualities-especially the government types, which made rules just to punish the heroine.
After …
