“What made this ebook such pleasurable reading was not the murder or even the Police procedure, but the rather wonderful cast of characters that the author, Emma Jameson, has created to populate her world. In the space of about 184 pages, Emma has managed to give us a whole collection of individuals, each very nicely rounded out and real. Even very minor players – such as the tall PC who finds … the pistol seems to be alive and obviously has a life outside the book.” — Tony Cole, eBookanoid.com
Anthony Hetheridge, ninth Baron of Wellegrave, Chief Superintendent for New Scotland Yard, never married, no children, no pets, no hobbies, and not even an interesting vice, will turn sixty in three weeks. With the exception of his chosen career, too sordid for his blue-blooded family to condone, his life has been safe and predictable. But then he meets Detective Sergeant Kate Wakefield – beautiful, willful, and nearly half his age. When Hetheridge saves the outspoken, impetuous young detective from getting the sack, siding with her against Scotland Yard’s powerful male hierarchy, his cold, elegantly balanced world spins out of control. Summoned to London’s fashionable Belgravia to investigate the brutal murder of a financier, Hetheridge must catch the killer while coping with his growing attraction to Kate, the reappearance of an old flame, and the secret that emerges from his own past.
Deadly Trio: Ice Blue, Blue Murder, Something Blue appeared at #19 on the New York Times bestseller list on July 13, 2014.

Already reviewed it.
Very enjoyable story, it finds a good balance between crime and romance within a British background. It reminds me a bit of the Inspector Morse books.
Likable characters, well-structured dialogue, interesting plot line without being overly predictable or convoluted.
I loved the characters in the novel. They were quite three-dimensional. The females were strong and believable.
Terrible, read several chapters then quit. Couldn’t get into it. Not inspiring at all. Would not recommend this book.
Interesting look into UK police actions, interesting characters.
I really enjoyed this book and went on to read the whole rest of the series. The characters were delightful and always fun to read!
Fantastic characters and great mystery
It’s the characters. they are constantly growing. Plots aren’t too shabby either.
First in a series of mysteries set in England, have read several and enjoyed them all.
Love these characters. Have read all of this series. Hoping for more books soon.
Love this series!
Ok
Peaked my interest enough to continue reading her blue series.
Relationships between characters was unique.
This was a great series and I want more of this author.
the method used to tell the story, the characters and the ending. could not put it down.
Not the romance is just a natural outgrowth of well written characters. It enhances the story and adds to the drama when the criminal decides it is either her or the man sent to arrest her. Wow!
Good enough that I got the next in the series.
All a bit far fetched. The old detective with a lord title who pairs up with east end young lady cop. Too opposite to be real as it is written. Not much is believable for a British mystery
