“What made this ebook such pleasurable reading was not the murder or even the Police procedure, but the rather wonderful cast of characters that the author, Emma Jameson, has created to populate her world. In the space of about 184 pages, Emma has managed to give us a whole collection of individuals, each very nicely rounded out and real. Even very minor players – such as the tall PC who finds … the pistol seems to be alive and obviously has a life outside the book.” — Tony Cole, eBookanoid.com
Anthony Hetheridge, ninth Baron of Wellegrave, Chief Superintendent for New Scotland Yard, never married, no children, no pets, no hobbies, and not even an interesting vice, will turn sixty in three weeks. With the exception of his chosen career, too sordid for his blue-blooded family to condone, his life has been safe and predictable. But then he meets Detective Sergeant Kate Wakefield – beautiful, willful, and nearly half his age. When Hetheridge saves the outspoken, impetuous young detective from getting the sack, siding with her against Scotland Yard’s powerful male hierarchy, his cold, elegantly balanced world spins out of control. Summoned to London’s fashionable Belgravia to investigate the brutal murder of a financier, Hetheridge must catch the killer while coping with his growing attraction to Kate, the reappearance of an old flame, and the secret that emerges from his own past.
Deadly Trio: Ice Blue, Blue Murder, Something Blue appeared at #19 on the New York Times bestseller list on July 13, 2014.

I enjoyed reading this book so much that I have purchased the next two in the series. They are will written and entertaining
Okay book but little bit generic and characters a bit unrealistic. Maybe later episodes will improve the characters.
This book was a page turner. I look forward to reading the end novel in the series.
I’m a favorite of stories set in the British Isles and enjoy police crime dramas. This book introduced me to a characters from different backgrounds and their interactions are interesting and intertaining. I’ve already begun the second book of the series.
Enjoyable banter betweeen the characters. Not earthshattering but clever at times. Predictable story. Still a satisfying read.
Very good read. The author made the characters come alive, could picture just what they looked like and what their expressions would be like. The story was very well written, kept me guessing what was going to happen next.
Had a difficult time putting it down. I wanted to know what the outcome would be.
I love this series. The characters are interesting , quirky and still believable. I want more from these two
Good read. Wish there was more story development in some areas. Could have overlooked this had the ending been better. Would I recommend this book? Yes. I finished it in a few days, so it’s definitely worth checking out.
This is the 1st of the series, a great, readable series. The characters are well drawn. The stories are intriguing. I didn’t want to put down the books. Good English mystery. Have fun reading all of them.
Well written and easy to enjoy.
Loved the characters, can hardly wait to read the next in the series!
Somewhat unrealistic relationship, but I enjoy all the characters. They all do have their challenges; no easy lives here!
I love British writes. Their use of the Queens English and dry wit is hard to surpass. I wrote an review of the third book in the series several months ago.
What do you get when you take a chief detective from Scotland Yard who is a real Baron, a confered batchler, and a brilliant mind…to a new Sgt who happens to be female in a male world? …
Great reading!
It was a nice read. Didn’t bog down or get so wordy that is got boring. Liked the characters.
I liked this book well enough to wonder about the sequel. It was a combination romance/ mystery.
I tremendously enjoy all of Emma Jameson’s novels.
I love this series! The characters are hilarious but serious too. They move along together establishing a working relationship and a family feeling although they come from much different backgrounds and have very diverse personalities. Although the are stand alone stories I couldn’t wait to start the next in the series. Great reading!
I read all 5 books in the series in just 4 days. Excellent reads, all.
