We are writing with some fabulous news! ICE has been named the Winner in the ACTION/ADVENTURE category of the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Congratulations!” Next Generation Indie Book Awards The debut bestseller that has sold more than 400,000 Kindle and paperback versions! ICE! Archaeologist Leah Andrews stumbles upon something inexplicable in southwestern New Mexico: inside a dark … southwestern New Mexico: inside a dark cavern lies an undiscovered, Native American cliff dwelling abandoned for 800 years. While twisting through one of the narrow underground passageways, Leah’s flashlight illuminates the remains of a violent massacre.
Ancient human remains—all slaughtered in a long-ago massacre—cover the cavern floor, along with several brilliantly colored, granite crystals. The rare gems are native to only one place on earth: a frozen mountain range in central Antarctica.
Could Native Americans have traveled to the frozen continent of Antarctica 800 years before the first known human exploration? If so, how? And why?
There’s only one person who can get Leah to those mountains in Antarctica: her estranged husband and climbing guide Jack Hobson.
At their destination, they make a stunning discovery that will change history and science forever. But Leah’s team is far from the only interested party.
As her secret makes its way to the highest levels of government, a race to seize the Russian-claimed Antarctic territory brings the world to the brink of nuclear conflict.

I found it very interesting and will be looking for the sequels.
This book is the first in a trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It touched on many subjects: Native American history, mountain climbing, airplanes, Antarctica, government conspiracies, and aliens. There are several groups competing against each other that requires a little effort to keep them straight, but characters are engaging and it was definitely a page turner. The ending was satisfying, but the story is not totally complete, since there are more books in the series. I would love more books like this, but I am a little apprehensive that the introduction of too much alien presence may turn the story in a different direction.
nice read
Even though it is seems the events are improbable and leaves you with lots of quesitons, it is an easy read. Action and adventure fill this book.
This book drew me in and didn’t let go. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I wasn’t sure how ancient peoples and Aliens were going to work together. The author did a believable job of bringing them together.
Extremely far-fetched, not that entertaining
Great book.
Lots of action but I haven’t decided if I like the lead characters. They care for one another but are separated. Weird surprise ending when they discover what actually was found in the ice in Antarctic.
This is the first book in a trilogy, I’ve also read the 2nd book and am anxiously awaiting the release of the 3rd one on August 1st. It is realistic with just enough sci-fi to carry it along and not get bogged down.
This is a really, really good book! It has fully fleshed characters, realistic dialogue, and an awesome plot. This is a stand alone story with a satisfying ending. Yep, I’m going to have to buy the next one.
This is a fast paced book and each time you think you’re nearing the end another situation begins. Story line was different and kept you turning the pages. I would recommend this book to others.
I finished this book in one sitting. I just could not it it down. The second one is just as good. Looking forward to the 3rd. Maybe you’re stronger than I am, but I would plan to order out for dinner!
Tough guy humor, feisty women. Bond-ishly insecure and evil bad guys. The fun action was worth suspending my disbelief for a few hours.
This is a well plotted story that grabbed my attention immediately and held it through the end. There are several well developed and likable characters. The problem I had with the book was the main female character. She was simply too headstrong and willing to drag her loyal team into dangerous situations without thinking them through. She could not be trusted. I put the book aside a couple of times and almost chose not to finish it. Eventually, I could not resist returning to find out what happened next in the plot line and was well rewarded in the end. I will want to read the next book in the series but I will no be a hurry about it.
Characters not very deep and I didn’t really see much development. I don’t expect sci fi to be realistic for our current world, but some things in the book just didn’t make sense. And I’ve read other books with similar plots (something buried in Antarctica). Having said that, I did read the second book in the series just to see what happened. I won’t be reading the 3rd book when it comes out.
I could not put this book down, Honestly, that is very rare for me. There were so many twist and turns, suspense and sometimes shocking circumstances. Well written.
Didn’t hold my interest
Stopped reading about 1/3 of the way through.
It was an interesting premise although, at times. A little too fantastical.
I didn’t finish this book. It didn’t hold my interest and seemed to familiar.
Touch and go, but the good guys pretty much won.
