It’s the depth of the characters, the engrossing nature of the plot, the realism of the conflict and the beautifully described settings that make a Cherise Sinclair novel…well, a Cherise Sinclair novel! ~ You Gotta Read Reviews
I Will Not Beg finally brings us the story of Sir Ethan, and boy was it an emotional doozy.

I was so happy with this book. How it dealt with abuse, and recovering from it. First, Piper had suffered emotional abuse at the hands of her step father and step brother. Never having felt accepted and being lonely, Piper mistakenly, in her youthful ignorance, signed a contract with an abusive jerk masquerading as a “Master”. At one of the lowest points in her servitude, she meets a champion. He says that this is NOT a legal contract and it is okay to leave. Gathering her courage, she does. That single episode is forever in her memory.
Sir Ethan, the man who unknowingly saved Piper, is dealing with trust issues of his own from his previous relationship, is in no way looking or a HEA. We all know what happens when we make plans, right? Fate puts these two together and healing is the result.
I absolutely LOVE how everyone in Dark Haven rallies around them and makes the jerk leave them alone, and makes sure he can never hurt anyone again. Such an amazing book and you really should read it.
I’ve been an avif fan of the Mountain Masters & Dark Haven series since I first discovered it five years ago. I have yet to be the least bit disappointed as I read each new release. I Will Not Beg is no exception. Cherise Sinclair is a masterful storyteller she creates fabulous characters and gives them terrific storylines with just the right mix of romance, suspense, intrigue and danger.
Rich, powerful, successful, compassionate, titled nd gorgeous…Sir Ethan Worthington is all that and more. Throw in an English accent and WOW! The amount of emotional, physical and psychological abuse that was inflicted upon Piper Delaney was heartbreaking yet her resilient affable nature shines through. She has risen like an phoenix from the ashes and re-invented herself in many ways. I applauded her at every turn. The road to submission that Piper teavels with Ethan as her guide is pure reading entertainment.
Cherise Sinclair’s Mountain Masters and Dark Haven series continues with Sir Ethan rescuing Piper from an abusive relationship. This book contains all of the sexiness you’ve come to expect from Cherise and the Masters.
Absolutely amazing!!
It seems like I have been waiting for Cherise Sinclair’s I Will Beg, the latest in her Dark Haven forever, and it was SO worth the wait. She has delivered an absorbing thought provoking BDSM romantic suspense story. There were moments that tugged at my heartstrings and others where the budding relationship and sexual chemistry between Ethan and Harper just made my heart sing. I loved the part the secondary character from Dark Haven played in the story. It’s always such fun to see what some of my favorite couples from previous books are up to. This book easily reads as a stand alone but I urge you to read all the books in this (and her other) series. You’ll be happy you did. I can hardly wait for the audio to come, I just can’t get enough of this book.
Hopefully Cherise is busy on her next book, I will wait patiently, anticipation growing as her books are always worth the wait.
Powerful story of a woman who finds the courage to leave an abusive relationship where she was made to believe she was less than worthless. When a woman who was already starved for love from a childhood lacking in it meets a man who promises her the world her naivety gets her trapped emotionally in a very abusive situation. It’s not until a Dom interjects and says that no slave contract is binding/legal that she finally asks for help in getting away.
The story picks up five years later where Piper Delaney, after the help of women shelters, an employment agency geared to helping women like her and friends she made along the way, now owns her own business. Piper reminds me of so many women I know. They get help for enough of their past issues to become a strong functioning members of society but they don’t get the counseling for the relationship aspect so they either just choose to not get involved in relationships again or just go through men like water. Piper chose to just not get involved with men as she swore she would never get involved with a man in the BDSM lifestyle again and vanilla men just didn’t do anything for her. So she made herself content with growing her business and having good friends.
All of that changes when at a party she happens to run into the English Dom from five years ago who saved her by giving her the courage to leave her abusive Master. After everything she’s been through she cannot believe she is sexually attracted to Sir Ethan Worthington. But by never dealing with the “abuse” aspect of her previous relationship she finds herself having PTSD episodes which leave her paralyzed.
Can the sweet but firm English aristocrat Dom finally be the one that helps Piper deal with her past trauma and gets her to the point of being able to be in a healthy D’s relationship again?
It was great to be back in the Dark Haven world which has come to be as thrilling to be in as Shadowlands. All the previous characters are in this book as Xavier Luduc is Ethan’s best friend. All the woman of Dark Haven befriended and rallied around Piper. It was a perfect ensemble cast along with being Ethan and Piper’s story.
