A bachelor party on a cruise ship. What could go wrong? When private detective Francie is hired to spy on a groom-to-be as he and his bachelor party set sail for the Caribbean, she thinks she’s landed herself a week of paid vacation. Between lounging in the sun and sipping margaritas, she just needs to–best case scenario–report back that he’s on the up and up, or–the unfortunate, more likely … unfortunate, more likely scenario–snap a few photos of her target in compromising positions, buy a box of sympathy chocolates for her client, and then collect her pay along with a nice golden suntan.
Blame it on the island breezes or the alcohol, but within hours of setting sail, Francie’s leisurely vacation gets complicated when she starts making careless mistakes. Like accidentally becoming friends with the groom and falling for his best man.
Can she get herself and her mission back on track, or has she blown her cover and possibly even her career?

The story was cute and the other Oceanic Dreams series can be read in any order. I had a hard time identifying with Francie and her very odd choices. As long as you don’t think too hard about whether or not it’s believable, I Will Follow Him is a light, quick listen with at least one HEA.
I listened to the Audible version. Jeannette Smith did well with the narration.

A fun screwball rom-com set on a tropical vacation
5 stars overall, 5 stars story, 5 stars narration
I found this adorable rom-com to be more fun than an actual Caribbean cruise! This is a wonderful, bubbly vacation romance that I plan to listen to again in the future. The steam level is very low: flirty with a small number of closed-door love scenes. This writing choice worked very well in my opinion. I found the slowly developing romance very satisfying. I loved the writing so much that I will definitely try more books by this author, Holly Tierney-Bedord. FYI, the other books in this “Oceanic Dreams” series are written by other authors. I highly recommend this audiobook for anyone who likes screwball comedies and vacation romance.
Francie is a ditzy small-time private investigator from the Midwest. Her late father had been a P.I., and Francie had just fallen into it because she didn’t know what else to do as a career. She is rather intelligent about investigation, but she is clueless about men, dating, and making any effort with her appearance. Thankfully, this week-long working vacation opens her eyes to the possibilities in life. I love how Frankie is a good person with a strong moral core, and I love how she finds a good-hearted guy.
I loved the narration! The narrator Jeannette Smith got every character’s voice just right, and she had great comic timing. I can’t imagine any narrator performing this story better.

I listened to this on Audio. The narrator did the voices well, a little too well at times. It was perfect.
I read this as a standalone, even though it is book 5 in this series. I didn’t feel like I had missed anything. I loved Francie’s transformation and the instant bond she formed with her new friends! Usually woman can be catty and bully one another. This group took her in and helped her with her confidence! Bink, goodness, that’s all I’ll say there. This was a romantic comedy, and there was lots of comedy! Francie found herself in enough tight spots during this cruise.
Francine is a private investigator and gets a new client who is afraid her fiancé is cheating on her. So she send Francine on a singles cruise to follow him and provide prof of any cheating on his part. Francine has a boyfriend but she sees him so seldom. Francine boards the ship and begins her investigation. She ends up befriending a group of his friends. She begins to feel guilty about the job as she falls for his friend Eli.
This is a delightful cozy romantic comedy. The characters are well developed, interesting, flawed and have great personalities that have you invested in their outcome. The narrative and dialogue are great, funny, interesting and creative. The romance is wonderful and the main characters have to overcome some internal struggles and external obstacles to be able to find true love. The cruise seems magical as characters have a chance to really get to know each other in amazing settings. I really liked this book, it was easy to read and I found I could not put it down. I would love to read more in this series. If you like clean cozy romances you will like this book.

Will Francie’s professional life win over her love life?
I Will Follow Him by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a marvelous story about a shy girl finding herself, love and friendship aboard the Oceanic Aphrodite cruise ship. I so adored the story and it grabbed me from the beginning.
Francie Medding
Francie is our point of view and main character. She is a private investigator from Hammond, Indiana. Francie takes a job from Danielle to follow her fiancé on the Oceanic Aphrodite cruise that his buddies booked for his bachelor trip. This job will be easy since she does stuff like this a lot. What Francie doesn’t realize is that she is prettier than she thinks and gets drawn into the group of bachelors.
I think that Francie is a beautiful character. She has integrity and grows so much throughout the story. Since Francie lost her mom at twelve, she needed someone to believe in her to see her full potential.
Eli Acorn
Eli is a science teacher from Gary, Indiana. He is the best friend to Evan, the groom for whom they are all there. Eli and his friends invite Francie and three ladies that she was hanging with to join them in for drinks. These drinks lead to an immediate attraction between Eli and Francie.
I like that Eli doesn’t judge or force his friend Evan into anything. He lets him make up his mind, yet he supports whichever decision Evan makes. He does the same with Francie, except with reasonable consequences.
Danielle
Ok, seriously this chick has significant issues. Talk about spoiled brat. She so totally takes that cake. How she got Evan to date, her is such the question. Danielle is out for money, and love has nothing to do with it. I don’t know how she has friends at all.
4 Stars for I Will Follow Him by Holly Tierney-Bedord
My rating for I Will Follow Him by Holly Tierney-Bedord is four stars. I loved this story. Francie and Eli make such a terrific couple, and their friends are so great together. The only question that I have is how the agreement between Danielle and Evan work out once they return to Indiana?
I recommend I Will Follow Him by Holly Tierney-Bedord. It’s a splendid read.

My first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. Flora and her friends sure do get into the most interesting situations. It kept everything entertaining.
This is a quick and easy read that will make you want to chuckle and wince all at the same time.
A contemporary rom-com, we get to watch our heroine stumble her way to confidence.
This is a clean story that I recommend.
she is a PI and she has to follow a grown to be on a cruise with other men to see if he is a cheater. She expects it to be easy but of course it will not be. She makes friends with the groom.and falls for his best man. What is she going to do? Can she keep her job? Will she be found out? See what will happen

I love the story line in this edition of the Oceanic Dreams series. It really feels as if everyone that steps on the ship is bound to find love even if they were already committed to someone else. There seems like there is something magical in the atmosphere and the main character of this book embraces it event at the cost of her business. The writing was quickly paced and this book can be read within a few hours. The editing appears to be flawless too. Reading this series has opened my reading palette to new to me authors that I will continue to follow.

Francine Meddling is a private detective, following in her father’s footsteps. She accepts an assignment that leads her to the Oceanic, love boat. Little did she know that she was going to be bit. Also the person she is working for is neurotic. I was laughing at some of the antics. I love the name the author came up for her boyfriend. Truth has a way of coming out because love demands it.
Favorite Quotes:
Even though I’m in my thirties, I still look exactly like I looked when I was sixteen. My hair is blonde and my eyes are bluish and, for some annoying reason, people often ask me why I look so confused. You’ve heard of resting bitch face? I guess I’ve got resting ditz face.
He’s not all that attractive, but like my mom always told me, “Francie, it’s not about the packaging. It’s about the gift inside.” Then she’d add, “With that being said, it wouldn’t kill you to go to aerobics class with me.” The ironic part is, aerobics is what killed her. It turns out she had a blocked artery and too many jumping jacks did her in. Since then, I’ve tried to move as little as possible. I haven’t broken a sweat since 1999. I call it ‘playing it safe.’
For the past five years, ever since my dad passed away and I figured it would be easier to take over his shop than clean it out, I’ve been a private detective.
My Review:
I gleefully giggle-snorted my way through this wittily written and highly amusing tale. I knew before finishing the first page I was in for a treat. Francie put the F in the F.N. Meddling Detective and Private Investigation Agency ~ snort! Let me mention Ms. Tierney-Bedord’s clever deployment of levity – it was there in spades, diamonds, clubs, and hearts. I wore a mirthful smile throughout and haven’t had this much fun in ages.
A week of paid vacation on a cruise ship, the perfect job right? Francie has been hired to spy on a groom to be and his bachelor party. Easy peasy, just sit around the pool, drinking margaritas makes for a nice relaxing vacation. While spying and reporting back that all’s well or he’s not behaving. Problem is between the relaxing in the sun and drinking those margaritas she’s making mistakes. You can’t become friends with the groom you’re supposed to be following let alone become interested in the best man. Now the trick will be to somehow cover her mistakes or let her cover be blown. A fun and entertaining rom-com.

Evan fell in love and proposed marriage to a woman he thought he would spend forever with. And he signed a document that would give half the business that belonged to his family for generations to her if he cheated.
Then paranoid Danielle went off to Europe with her gal pals and he and his friends went to the Caribbean and Mexico. Along with a private detective she hired to catch him.
Francie inherited her PI firm from her father. The offer to go on a cruise to follow Evan seemed amazing- until she met him and he was a nice guy grieving the very recent death of his parents. And Danielle had him tailed instead of coming along and spending time with him.
Hilarious subterfuge involving curtains, t shirts, and facing endings.
Fun KU read!

Holly will keep you laughing with this installment of the Oceanic Dreams series. I love having a PI as a main character and reading as she struggles with the ethics of her job and finding romance at the same time.
I really enjoyed I will Follow Him. It is a quick fun, romance book. I love the characters and how they develop throughout the book. The romance between Francie and Eli is just sweet and perfect. The cruise ship setting is so fun and interesting. I love this whole series! Each novella is a stand alone so they can be read in any order. I highly recommend this book!
