Billionaire businessman Alejandro Cruz detests the dating process and is perfectly content to stay single. But that all changes the moment the quirky house sitter from next door falls into his arms, and his immediate instinct is to hold on tight and never let go. California girl Kaya Porter has a “just say no” approach to dating. No matter how sexy and irresistible Alejandro is, she vows not to … vows not to fall for him.
Alejandro has other plans. This sexy Spaniard knows what he wants, and there’s nothing he won’t do to make Kaya realize that they belong together. Will Alejandro get the girl or will he be left wanting more than Kaya is willing to give?
I Want is book two of the Enamorado (In Love) series. Each book will feature one of the Cruz brothers and can be read as a standalone.

Oh my gosh! This book was recommended to me and I am so freaking glad I read it!
This is definitely a dating and falling in love story which are really, kind of hard to come by considering all the romance books out there. This also has one addition that added a wonderful dash of humor to the story but I refuse to spoiler what it is because it is just so much fun. Let’s just say it is highly original.
The beginning started a little rough. The dialogue a bit stilted but either it smoothed out or I became adjusted to it because soon I was completely engulfed in the growing relationship between Kaya and Alejandro. Kaya was fun and feisty, Alejandro determined and possessive. The drama is none existent as this couple spend time together, all the while Alejandro knowing where he plans for this to go and Kaya avoiding that place at all costs…until she can’t avoid it any longer. The angst level was extremely low and even when we do have the final conflict, it was dealt with in an adult manner and over with within a few pages.
I loved both the hero and heroine as well as their friends and siblings, making me antsy to get to their stories. This is a relatively slow burn and the chemistry was a bit questionable until suddenly this couple went up in flames for each other and holy heck, the dirty talking steam level singed my Kindle. Add an epilogue that was surprising, original and absolutely perfect and this is a book I would highly recommend when looking for something low angst, safe in that neither are with anyone else after they meet, and with a hero who is sold on the heroine from the first moment he sees her.
Thank you to my Goodreads friend Janie for recommending this!
I Want is so sexy and ooey gooey sweet. Alejandro is the 2nd Cruz brother to find love and the object of his affection is just as sweet and adorable as he is. Kaya is house sitting for Emery, Alejandro and Rafe’s next door neighbor. When Elvis, Emery’s gorgeous peacock, flies over the gate that separates the two homes, Kaya tries to go to the rescue. But when a cop seems intent on stopping her, it’s Alejandro who comes to the rescue when Kaya falls off the gate. Once Alejandro lays eyes on her, all bets are off and he starts planning on how to get her in his life.
What I love so much about I Want is that there’s little angst, unlike in I Don’t, which is much more angsty, as befitting the two MCs, Mateo and Avelina, who are more high maintenance type of people than either Alejandro or Kaya. Here in I Want, there’s mostly just sweet (and sexy) and Alejandro trying to figure out how to get Kaya to fall in love with him the way he’s in love with her.
And then there’s that sweet epilogue setting up Rafe’s book, I can’t wait! Rafe so far has been the most brooding, mysterious of the brothers and it will be entertaining to see him fall in love (with Emery, I hope!)
I want more!
Outstanding and an amazing follow up to book one. Seriously how can words be sexy? Ella has done this effortlessly with Alejandro, every time he opens his mouth you melt.
His first encounter with Kaya? Swooning! From the start to the finish there was never any doubt of the off the charts chemistry between these two leads. One of the highlights for me apart from the sexy Spanish that poured from Alejandro’s lips would have to be Elvis. Who knew a peacock could be a potential matchmaker. The way she worked him into the story was exceptional. He had his own staring role and played it well. It has left me anxious for the next book. Not enough stars. Ella’s got another hit Series with these stories.
I loved I Don’t so much that I really didn’t think I could love any of the other Cruz brothers as much as Mateo. So I waited six months to read I Want but with I Need about to come out, I needed to catch up. I’m a stupid, stupid fool! Alejandro is just as amazing as Mateo. Seriously, swoon so hard I can hardly stand it.
I loved that this book was light on the angst and big on the funny. Elvis, the peacock Kaya is babysitting, playing matchmaker is absolute perfection. I can’t wait to have more Cruz brothers in my life!!!!!
