During one wild night in college, Jentry Michaels is a tidal wave of ink that brands Aurora Wilde’s soul. Jentry has irrevocably touched her soul, and he is intertwined in her present and future in ways she never fathomed. Now Aurora is faced with keeping that night hidden though it feels as if the ink has indelibly etched their story across her skin.

So I must start this recommendation with a disclaimer…I love Molly McAdams books! I am a huge fan, so that being said…this was not my favorite of hers but I still liked it. It was a little hard to stay with it at first because the book is written in the past and present tense but it even skips around in the past a bit and I was reading late at night and I would find myself going back a few pages to see what tense I was reading. It does become easier to keep up with when you start to invest in the characters and really get into the story…so keep with it! It changes point of views also but I like seeing more than one point of view in a book so it worked for me! The story starts with Aurora stepping out of her good girl shoes for one night and meeting Jay….totally changes theirs lives but its only one night…there is a love triangle and a pretty mean mom also. Lots of angst also! I enjoyed the story and will continue to read anything Molly McAdams writes!!

Let me start by saying this was another AMAZING read by Molly McAdams!!
I do have to be honest though and say I was slightly confused the first half of the book. The way Molly wrote this story makes sense once you finish reading it, but it did make following along in the beginning kind of tough. But even with that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Now I know what some are thinking about this book, and YES there is a love triangle, but not in the normal sense one thinks of a triangle. I personally don’t like love triangles at all and I was very nervous about reading this one, especially knowing Molly wrote it (after what she did to us in Taking Chances 😉 ) but because Molly wrote it I just knew I had to read it and trust that Molly would make everything ok. So if you aren’t a fan of triangles, please don’t let that scare you away from reading this book, trust me when I say we don’t ge the normal things we see in stories that have true triangles. I am sorry I can’t explain more but it would spoil this story and I won’t do that.
I See You is a standalone novel, (although I am hoping another book comes after this one in regards to something that revealed at the end of this book, not a sequel but another book with these characters.) It is told in Dual POV and I loved that we got to see both sides of this story. Besides being a little confusing, I thought the pace and flow of the story was well written. Molly gave us an interesting storyline and characters that you will fall in love with. She also gave us some you will love to hate (Linda and Jessica). You know because this is a Molly McAdams book, your emotions will be all over the place. She knows how to send you heart on a roller coaster ride 🙂
What I loved the most about this book was that Molly added so many elements into this story. There was the forbidden love, a sense of suspense, and of course the angst for the triangle. Because there is time jumping in this story from past to present and back, she added that sense of suspense because she would hint to certain things but you had to wait until you were further along to get all the information. It just made me turn the pages faster because I wanted to know everything.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Molly’s books. I would also tell anyone who isn’t a fan of love triangles, to give this book a chance I don’t think you will be disappointed!! I think this is a MUST READ!!!!
3.5 stars
I love Molly McAdams and every single book of hers that I’ve read. I did enjoy ISY well enough but there were things that “bothered” me. I didn’t really connect with Rory or why/how she let Linda treat her the way she did. This story was a different take on the love triangle genre. I didn’t feel anything towards Declan as we rarely get to see him. Because if that I wasn’t as “torn” between the decision she had to make between Declan and Jentry. It was always Jentry for me.
I have been a Molly fan for years. That being said I don’t think I have ever read one of her books and didn’t have the words to describe how I felt about it. Well this book had me speechless.
I wonder throughout this book if Molly would destroy me. She has a tendency to do this to me.
This book had mystery and had me not wanting to put it down. I wanted answers and I wanted them right then and there.
Molly knows how to write some amazing characters and very deep and complex as well. I’m just going to say I have a new book boyfriend.
Jentry!!
I don’t know what more to say without giving away this book. But I am not disappointed in Molly at all.
What do you do when you meet the man that completely wrecks you after one night of passion and then slips away with no word… you do what any lovelorn woman would do and go in search of him. That is exactly what Aurora Wilde set out to do, but her mystery man only known as Jay was no where to be found, so she gave up hope she that she would ever find him again. Then she opened her heart to another man, and Declan is everything she has ever wanted in a man, but there is something missing… he just doesn’t measure up to a certain sexy stranger. Then said sexy stranger happens to wander back into her life, and he wants her back… now she is stuck with an impossible choice… which man should she choose?
This soul touching read will seep into your heart, stir your emotions, and leave you breathless! From the moment I cracked the cover I was completely hooked, the characters pulled me into their world, monopolized my thoughts, and had a death grip on my heart. I love a good love triangle story, and this one definitely earned a spot on my lists of favorites, it was freaking amazing!! This is also my introduction to this author, and after reading this beautiful story I think it is safe to say that I will be back for more… her story rocked my world!! Highly recommend this one, it is sure to touch your heart!!
