There’s a budding romance on Butler Mountain, but in the hornets’ nest known as the Abbott family, keeping a secret is no easy feat… to live with her true love, Will. But Lucy isn’t about to tell Cam she’s having a fling…with Will’s brother.
Flitting between New York and Vermont is exhausting, so Lucy is looking forward to a long weekend with Colton at the Abbott family lake house in Burlington. Too bad Will and Cameron have the same idea, and once Colton and Lucy are caught red-handed (and red-faced), will their clandestine romance lose its appeal or will their secret beginnings be the start of something lasting?
Includes a bonus Green Mountain short story!

So, so sweet and funny.
4,5 stars
How not to love this family? They are loud, boisterous, good-hearted meddlers, loyal, funny, loving, caring, nurturing. They are completely addicting.
And alternating between living amidst this craziness and scaping to the moutains (or the city), Lucy and Colton were also trying to find a way to live their love to its full potential, even knowing that the chances of it working out were disheartening.
But how could they deny their feelings when they were so all consuming?
They were so wonderful together, even with all the distance between them and Lucy’s wariness. Their banter was easy, natural, compelling, their chemistry was undeniable and their feelings were so genuine.
Colton was so sweet and so funny. I found myself laughing so many times, not only at him, but also at the whole family.
Page by page, chapter by chapter, I found myself falling more and more in love with the Abott men (also Elmer, Nolan and Gavin, of course).
I don’t know how this author manages to make us love every single one of her characters, but this is all we can do. Seriously. Even Megan (BTW, I can’t wait dive into her and Hunter’s book. I have this deep feeling that they might become a new favorite for me).

I think this was my first Marie Force book. The main characters, Colton and Lucy, were witty and genuine and flawed but wonderful. The playful steam, the chemistry between these characters is a stand out amongst steamy contemporary romance novels. I’ll read her again while wondering why it took me so long to try her out!
Warm funny story as we watch a family we know well add another couple to its group.
I love a series and this series a fun, light hearted, and great to read.
This story reminds me of the old saying, “A bird and a fish can fall in love, but where will they live?”
Colton and Lucy have been hot for each other ever since they first made eye contact. They’ve been hiding their secret rendezvous from friends and family for the past couple months. It’s only a “fling” and they don’t need their families interfering or making molehills into mountains…because Colton seems to be doing that for the both of them. This book is about Lucy and Colton’s trials and tribulations in making this seemingly impossible relationship work.
I absolutely LOVE Marie Force! The Green Mountain series is by far the best contemporary romance series I’ve ever read. The characters are realistic, the plot is engaging and the dialogue is hilarious. There is so much love and comfort in these book that it’s hard not to fall in love with every single character.
With this book, I had a love/hate relationship with Lucy. I never warmed up to her. I think it was Lucy’s defeatist attitude towards her and Colton’s relationship that didn’t endear her to me. I know her feelings were genuine, maybe a little too genuine for me. But, I could see a lot of myself in her too. She was easily relatable, despite her constant Debbie Downer attitude.
Colton was a total dreamboat! He is this sexy, burly mountain man that chops wood and has an equally sexy brain to match his ripped body. What is it with these Abbott men? When they love, they love hard. Colton is completely head over heels for Lucy. His dedication and determination to make their relationship work never faltered. He was also amazing with Lucy’s family and her young niece. Colton is everything you want in a hero, not to mention being a super freak behind closed doors J
I really enjoyed the story, especially Nolan and Hannah’s secondary storyline. They are easily my favorite couple. I loved the surprises and I fell in love with Nolan all over again. We also get to see more of Will and Cameron in the book. I love how their relationship has been developing and I’m looking forward to reading more about them.
Lucy and Fred the town moose do have a memorable meeting, maybe not as memorable as Cameron’s but there’s never a dull moment when Fred is around.
As the end of the book we are treated to a bonus story, LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS. This is the story of Will and Colton taking Cameron and Lucy on their first camping trip together. It’s full of laughter and a bunch of hilarious mishaps! And we also get a glimpse at the first chapter of Hunter and Megan’s book! I’m totally excited for their story and can’t wait for March 2015!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small town contemporary romances full of heart. You can’t go wrong with the Green Mountain series.
***I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book in 2014 in exchange for an honest review***
And we have another awesome book from Marie Force. I so enjoy traveling (in my mind) to Vermont to share in the awesome lives of the Abbott clan. This book is about Lucy and Colton. Lucy is Cameron’s best friend and co-worker. Colton is the Abbott brother who lives on the mountain (without nice amenities I might add). They have a secret romance brewing. Until, you guessed it if you are a fan of the series, Lincoln kind of interferes. The problem that these two face is location. Lucy lives in New York while Colton lives in Vermont. How will they make this work? I loved Colton. He is a great lover, friend, and brother. He takes such great care of Lucy. Dual point of views. We also get some points of view from characters that we fell in love with in earlier books. We get a glimpse into the future and who might have a book about them. I love the old men meddling. And, who could forget Fred, the moose? He makes an appearance too. Can’t wait to return to this family in the next book.
