I hate Drew Woods, and she hates me.Too bad I’m not the cold jerk most make me out to be. When she needs help, I have no problem moving the single mom and her baby into my home despite how she makes me feel.Alive.She’s too mouthy, too nosy, and her curves are way too distracting for my own sanity. Giving in to Drew would be a short-lived fix, and I knead something permanent to heal my pain. I’d … something permanent to heal my pain.
I’d be insane to think we could be anything more than temporary…right?

This is book #2 of Slice series, but it can be read as standalone. I haven’t read the first book and I completely understood the story.
“I hate her because I do like her… and she won’t let me have her.”
by Winston
WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Addictiveness: 5/5 This was a one-sitting read for me. As soon as I started I knew I wouldn’t be able to let it go. The story was fun, sexy and kept at the edge of my seat. As addictive as chocolate!!!
Character: hero 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Complex characters with several layers of difficulty, but we knew it would be worth knowing them.
Winston was perfectly imperfect. Life dealt him lemons and he had no idea how to make lemonade. Instead, he decided to only drink water. He was in pain and took the “easy” way. What he didn’t notice was that he had become a complete jerk because of his choices. He seemed selfish, rude, short-tempered. Inside, he was a softie with a huge heart, capable of a love bigger than life. He liked to take care of others. He was hot, sexy, broody, but was always getting strays and taking care of them. Helping them, giving them a new beginning. Winston was a multidimensional character that went through a huge personal growth throughout the book. Loved him, even when I felt like slapping him!
Drew was an amazing heroine. She created herself from nothing into such a beautiful human being. She accidentally got pregnant for a douchebag, but didn’t falter and kept going. She made the best of her situation, but it always felt not enough. She had a hard time asking for help, even though she had found the perfect system of friends/family for herself. She was very independent, used to take care of herself since she was a small child. She had this huge attraction to her best-friend’s brother, but her head wouldn’t let her like him. She thought he was a waster of life, since he got so much and was unable to keep it. She had a hard time to trust, to believe in happiness, but she even when her mind kept telling her to run, she kept on fighting.
I must go back and read Foster and Wren’s book. They were so perfect together. I can’t wait to see Sully got his match. He was AMAZING!!! Really, where can I get a nanny like him?
Villains.. antagonists… I guess the villain of the story was Winston fear. The antagonist was Drew stubbornness. They both were their worst enemy and what they really had to fight against in this story.
All characters were easy love, connect and understand. !!!
Cover: art 4.5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This cover is sexy and it fits the story. I would guess a pizzeria, cooks, by looking at it. I love the title and the font and colors used. I would buy this book by its cover without needing to read the blurb!
Freshness: 4/5 I’ve liked. To make contemporary romance creative is really difficult, specially an enemies-to-lovers story. This one felt unique! The conflicts and twists gave this story a fresh atmosphere. As fresh as vanilla ice cream during a summer day!
Plot: believable 5/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5 Exciting opening for an amazing ending. A very believable plot, with great subplots and a unexpected twist. Great dialogues in a fun, fast-paced plot. Great setting and highly enjoyable until the end. Highest level of enjoyment!
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5 This was a slow burn romance that grew in a perfect pace. This was such an amazing love story. Winston was so patient and considerate with Drew’s feelings. At the same time they were so explosive together. There was always tension in the air with both of them in the same space. The smut here was unbelievable. So many well written sexy scenes. It never felt excessive, always pertinent to the storyPassionate love!
Writing Style: 4.5/5 The plot was fun, refreshing and interesting. The characters are stars here, because they were all easy to love. The romance intense and sweet at the same time. The dialogues and descriptions of the scenes were fun and hot. The writing was clean with no major loopholes. Crafty writing!!!
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
I have no idea!!!! This was so wonderful, not even me, that loves to pick on every tiny detail, can find something.
MY THOUGHTS
I haven’t read the first book of the series and it wasn’t needed to understand this story. I will go back and read it only because I love the characters and their friendship and would love to see more of them all together.
This book was so unexpected for me. I wasn’t expecting that much intensity and emotional roller-coaster. Winston was such a deep character with so many layers to him and he was so well written. I do like a bad boy, but not usually a complete jerk. But Winston was always so capable of learning from his mistakes that it was impossible to hold it against him.
Really, so many young men that were good with babies, this book is dreamy!!!
This was a romance worth reading!!!

Would I recommend? Definitely! For everybody looking for a fun, intense romance.
Would I re-read this book/series? Yes! I would reread the book and I will follow the series.
Would I read more from the author? I’m looking forward to.
You MAY read this because you follow the series you SHOULD read this because you enjoy sexy romance; you MUST read this for perfectly imperfect characters!!!
Teagan Hunter introduced Winston and Drew in the series’ first book A Pizza My Heart. It was clear, too, that there was more to each of them then what you see at first glance.
They don’t seem to like each other much, but from the beginning it is evident that there is a connection. They, of course, would deny it with their argumentative banter, but with a duel POV the reader gets a chance to see everything from both their perspectives. As both are snarky and love to give the other a hard time it was fun to see that carry through even as they grew closer.
Foster and Wren from the first book make multiple appearances in I Knead You Tonight as do a number of other secondary characters. Winston and Wren’s dad was hilarious and probably one of my favorite parts of the book. It was easy to see that Wren and Winston got their sense of humor from him.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Since I finished A Pizza My Heart and found out that Drew and Winston’s book was next, I couldn’t have been happier!!! I’ve been desperately CRAVING I Knead You Tonight.
Some of the reasons why I loved this book:
-Single mom. (MAJOR bonus points.)
-Enemies to lovers romance. (One of my favorites.)
-Comedic relief that had me laughing out loud.
-A hot as hell man caring for a baby and trying to explode my ovaries.
Let’s not forget all of the other characters that reprised their role!!! Loved seeing them all interact with each other, AGAIN. Getting to know Drew and how strong and resilient she was along with getting to see more layers of Winston, really put the cherry on top of this SWEET story.
I’m REALLY hoping Teagan isn’t done with this series QUITE yet, since there’s a couple more people I want to see get their stories. Only time will tell!!!
I am a HUGE fan of this author’s writing. It is always the perfect blend of romance, humor, healing, and friends.
I KNEAD YOU TONIGHT can be read as a stand-alone even though it is book 2 of a series. The author does a great job of explaining the who, what and where of it all.
I absolutely recommend everything from this author!!!!
SINGLE MOM. ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS ROMANCE. ROOMMATES-TO-LOVERS ROMANCE.
Teagan Hunter has entrapped me in her stories. Whether it be an emotional and gut wrenching read or a lighter book filled with belly laughs, she continues to enthrall me. I am consistently looking forward to reading her new releases and jump quickly at the opportunity to read her books because she knows how to make me smile. I Knead You Tonight is everything I was hoping for. I didn’t feel like reading something heavy but I also wanted something that had some seriousness to it and this book encompassed both. This book deals with the difficulty of being a single parent (she wrote it with ease and truthfulness) but also of two polar opposites who, despite a LOT of resistance, begin to fall in love. The road isn’t an easy one to navigate. It’s rocky, hard, and at times hilarious, but it’s also really sweet and heartwarming.
The characters are definitely what made this book into something special. If you read A Pizza My Heart then you will recall both Drew (she’s the heroine) and Winston. Drew is Wren’s best friend from the previous book and Winston her twin brother. While this book can be read as a complete standalone, I recommend reading A Pizza My Heart first if you don’t want relationship spoilers from Wren’s story.
Back to the characters. Drew is a little bit different than I thought she would be considering when I first “met” her in A Pizza My Heart she kind of came off as a sassy chick filled with sarcasm. In this one though, we see another side of her. One that is a bit more tender but still holds the sass and sarcasm that I came to love. I love seeing her in the role of MOM to her baby boy and the fierce protectiveness she has over him. It was also nice to see her struggle. Teagan really showed the other side of parenting, especially those who have to go at it alone. I related to Drew because of this and am so happy Teagan didn’t make her as the perfect heroine with no issues because it wouldn’t have worked for the story.
Winston is the grumpy hero of the story. It took me a teeny bit to like him- again I thought he was going to be this hilarious man without a care in the world (sort of like Drew) but we were able to get a deeper look at him in I Knead You Tonight. Once again, Teagan didn’t write him as “perfect” but instead showed his own struggles with life making him easily relatable. He may have been grumpy, but I certainly gained and understanding to his attitude and fell in love with him because of it. Dare I say he just might be my favorite hero of Teagan’s books? MAYBE!
As I mentioned, this is an enemies-to-lovers romance and Teagan wrote is PERFECTLY. Their banter, the way they “hated” each other, and their overall reactions towards one another is HILARIOUS. This is exactly what I look for in an enemies-to-lovers romance (it doesn’t always have to be dark and angsty) and I smiled the whole way though!
All this being said, I really enjoyed this book and am hoping Porter (a single dad who makes minor appearances in this book) will be the star of the next one! I have a feeling I’ll fall hopelessly in love with him!
Ready for another gem from Teagan Hunter? Gosh…this book…:grasps heart: I loved this story from the beginning to the end. I was dying for this story since the first chapter teased us in book one, Pizza My Heart.
Drew is a single mom. She has never had it easy. But she has fought her whole life and giving up was never an option. Now she has a little mouth to feed. Winston seems like he has had anything he could ever want. But things aren’t always as it seems. He doesn’t have the one thing he desperately wants, peace. He is still dealing with an injury that he hides. An incident happens that makes enemies Drew & Winston turn into room mates. Trust me Drew fights all the way. They both try to hold onto the hate they have for each other but it’s hard when chemistry is kicking them down.
This book had me laughing, swooning, almost in tears and then smiling the biggest smile. I couldn’t put it down. But that’s normal for a Teagan Hunter book. I did feel a little guilty because this series has become my new favorite and I was totally in love with her text series. (forgive me Zach!) Winston and Drew are epic. They both made me wants to slap them at times and other times I wanted to hug them and cheer for them. At the end of this book I felt like I knew them personally.
I also loved that favorite characters from the first book had a major appearance in this book. The interactions weren’t addicting. There were so many quotable lines. I guarantee this will be your next favorite read. Not really a rom com fan? Teagan will make you one.
I can’t wait for more!
Five pizza stars for Drew and Winston !!!
Teagan Hunter is one of my favorite rom-com writers.
She always makes me laugh when I read her books and this one wasn’t an exception.
I really enjoyed Drew and Winston’s love story.
Their relationship wasn’t easy from the beginning. They hated each other but deep down their hate was actually a love which they didn’t want to admit because of their stubbornness.
If you’re looking book with a single mum and enemies to lovers tropes, then this one is for you and you need to read it!
I loved I I Knead You Tonight. It’s book two in the Slice Series but it can be read as a standalone. If you have read A Pizza My Heart than you have already met Drew and Winston. Drew is Wren’s best friend and Winston is Wren’s brother. Drew is a single mother trying to make ends meet. She’s strong and sassy. She’s also pretty stubborn and doesn’t like to take help from others. Winston is perceived as a stoner and a slacker but that’s not really who he is. He battling his own demons. The more we do d out about him the more I loved him. Drew and Winston have a love hate relationship. Some of the things they say to each other are funny and other are just mean but deep down they really like each other. I loved these two and their story made for a great read.
Angsty romcom is now a romantic subgenre thanks to this book.
A perfect blend of Hunter’s signature humor and snark and her lesser-known (and underappreciated, IMO) angsty feels which harken back to her Here’s To series. Drew and Winston’s story is full of hilarious banter and gut punches that had me snort-laughing and aching for more because it hurt so good.
Solid 8 stars! I loved this book so much. Drew and Win are real life couple goals. Not fake romance novel couple but I can see them as an actual couple in the world. Teagan Hunter is everything I want to be when i grow up. She can write a book with the best of them! I can’t wait to see what is next for her!
OMG!!! I Knead You Tonight was my first Teagan Hunter book and I’m kicking myself for not starting sooner! This was the perfect introduction to an author. I absolutely loved everything about this book!
Drew and Winston are the realist and most relatable couple I have ever read and I fell in love with them from the very start. Their problems are real life problems we face daily. Drew is a single mother and struggling to make ends meet. Winston is struggling with his reality. His shoulder issues, and insecurities keep him from doing what he should and what he wants.
Drew and Winston are like fire and ice in the beginning. She’s solely focused on providing for her son, and he is solely focused on not focusing on anything. But it’s clear from the very start that there is something between them that neither will admit. Drew finds Winston’s lack of ambition annoying and childish. Winston does his best to pretend like he hates her.
Hunter delivers a hilarious book with plenty of playful banter, snarky comments, and steamy moments. I loved reading every moment of this book. I could just could not stop laughing. She gives us a book filled with real life issues with a playful spin on things, that leaves us feeling good.
Absolutely everything about I Knead You Tonight was perfect! Hunter had such a magical way of delivering a book that I couldn’t help but fall in love with everything about it. I cannot wait to go back and read all of her books!
All the stars or pizza for I Knead You Tonight and Teagan Hunter!
There is just something about Teagan Hunter’s writing that I know I will have a grin of my face the whole time I read her books.
Drew is a very proud and stubborn Mom who will do anything for her son; even allow help from the one person she hates more than anything. Winston is a lazy pot-smoking man but does anyone really know why he acts like he doesn’t care when if you pay close attention you can find that he is just hiding his pain. Can these two live together and possibly learn to even like each other?
You will have a wide range of emotions going on while reading I Knead You Tonight but one thing is for sure you will laugh your ass off. Let me tell you, Winston is just as funny as his twin sister Wern (from A Pizza My Heart) these two bickerings stole the book at times.
This is defiantly a must-read book, series, and author!
This is a laugh out loud, panty-changing book! The characters are well developed and the passion is incredible. An awesome read! Of course, with the title, I have the INXS song in my head! And I want pizza!
I enjoyed Winston and Drew’s hate to love story in I Knead You Tonight. Emphasis on hate, because dang these two DID NOT like each other in the beginning. It’s been a while since I read a book with this much antagonistic behavior between the two main characters. But even as they were having a go at each other — and I don’t mean in a sexy way — there was undeniable chemistry between them. I knew it was going to get good (and hot) when everything finally exploded. I wasn’t wrong.
I’ve got to admit, I was a little unsure about Winston because quite frankly, he was a dick to Drew at times. But, he won me over and it only took a few chapters. He was quite sweet under that prickly exterior. He was dealing with a lot and probably not doing it in the best way. Drew was good for him. Winston’s time with Drew (and her son, Riley) helped him grow up.
On the other hand, I adored Drew from the very beginning. She definitely didn’t have the easiest life, being a single mom trying to support a baby, but she was driven and had a good heart. Winston’s comments to her hurt MY feelings at times, with some of it bordering on bully romance. I’m just glad that didn’t go on very long. My feelings about this book would’ve been very different if it had. But thankfully, it was resolved relatively quickly. Drew and Winston ended up being a really good match. Once they let go of all the nasty banter anyhow. They brought out the best in each other.
I Knead You Tonight was funny, sweet and sexy. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read in the Slice Series. (Side note: Teagan Hunter has THE BEST punny book titles. I’m obsessed.) The characters in this series are so fun and quirky. I hope to see more of them soon!
Favorite Quotes:
I hate Drew Woods. But not because I don’t like her. I hate her because I do like her… and she won’t let me have her.
Winston could either love me for a lifetime or shatter me in two. There is no in-between when it comes to us, and that’s one hell of a gamble to take.
A funny, sexy, enemies to lovers single parent romance filled with swoons, amazing characters, and fun banter. It’s like this book was made for me. I adored this book so much. Winston and Drew’s story is my favorite in the series so far.
Drew and Winston butted heads like crazy. My goodness! I could feel how just much they hated each other. However, underneath all that hate, there is so much care. Evident by Winston moving Drew and Riker into his home after witnessing her struggle to get even the basic of needs.
Drew Woods is my favorite Teagan Hunter heroine to date. I love her strength and selflessness. She always putting others first, especially her son. She had a very tough upbringing. Practically raising herself. So her determination to give Ryker a better life no matter what it took was my favorite thing about her.
When we first met Winston in A Pizza My Heart, I wasn’t so sure I would like him. I’m so glad he is so much more than the irresponsible stoner slacker I thought he would be. I really enjoyed getting his point of view and his perspective of his accident. Winston showed so much growth in this book. When he wasn’t being a total jerk, he was capable of being downright swoony.
I really liked these two together. I love how they helped each other heal.
If you’re looking for a fun, heartfelt romcom, you can’t miss with Teagan Hunter. I highly recommend I Knead You Tonight.
Whoah! I Knead You Tonight blew my mind. This author has a way of transporting you into the lives of her characters. This book made me laugh, cry, throw things, sigh. All the emotions!
This book follows two characters we met in book one. If you haven’t read book one, first of all you are crazy, but secondly you don’t need to to understand this book. I loved the characters. Most of all I loved watching the story build. There is heat in the book too.
Overall, I loved every single thing about this book. I am still hung over after finishing it. I cannot wait to see where this author goes next. I know if the author is writing it then it’s going to be amazing!
Ratings:
Plot: 5/5
Characters: 5/5
Heat: 5/5
Writing Style: 5/5
Overall: 5/5
This series is so fun to read. I love the humor that Ms. Hunter brings us but that the subject matter is serious and can be difficult at the same time.
Drew is smart, fun and sassy but she is also very determined and stubborn as well. She has been dealt challenge after challenge in her life. She continues to meet them head on and not let those challenges beat her down. Wanting better for herself than she has experience thus far. She lucked out in finding Wren and her family. They have enveloped her in as one of their own. The love she has for her new bundle of joy is clearly seen in her determination to provide for him. She does struggle with asking for help and letting people give her things.
Winston has gotten himself a very bad rep by keeping to himself and not sharing with his family and friends what he is truly going through. He is letting fear hold him back from going after the things he wants in life. He just needs the right push to start working on the new improved him. When he opens his heart just a little and decided to give to Drew and help her out. Can he find his true self again?
There is a load of angst between Drew and Winston in their hate/like relationship. At points one might think they could never be together. But the more time they spend together you can see things shift in their relationship. Is Winston ready to step up and be there for them full time? Will Drew accept the help and love of her friends and Winston. Could they be just what each other needs to be their best and find their full potential?
I am loving this series and the characters. I wonder who will be next, Porter or Sully?

If there’s one thing I know about a Teagan Hunter book, it’s that I will love it!
The snarky, playful banter is back in I Knead You Tonight (and seriously, she has the BEST book titles) with Drew & Winston. The teaser at the end of A Pizza My Heart had me choking on my pizza because I needed Drew & Winston’s story delivered in 30 minutes or less. However, Teagan needed time to finish the book so I was left (im)patiently waiting to read what I knew would be an explosive story between these two. And Teagan did NOT disappoint!
Winston is everything I wanted in this book and so much more. He’s a jerk who deep down wants to be so much more. Drew is a BALLIN’ single mom who works her butt off to provide for her baby. I liked seeing a self-sufficient female who struggled accepting the help of those closest to her, but knew when it was the right thing to do for her son.
I loved everything about this book. Getting to see their interactions with each other and baby Riker were always exciting because you never knew what to expect from the mouths of these characters LOL. One of my favorite characters, Simon (Wren & Winston’s dad) is just as amazing as ever!
Teagan Hunter’s books never fail to make me smile and laugh. Her way with words and banter is superb and quite honestly, unmatched. These characters are the genuine kind you want to sit around and drink a beer with…over a slice of pizza, naturally.
I’m hoping we get a book about Sullivan (Sully) too because I am intrigued by this mysterious surfer and need to know more!
I love Winston and how sweet he shows us he can really be. How he’s there for Drew and her son no matter how much she denies she needs it. Winston is totally misunderstood, everyone just thinks he’s an irresponsible pothead. But he’s really sweet and just struggling and dealing with his own demons in the only way he knows how. Him and Drew have a hate relationship or so that’s what they think it is. But when Drew needs someone Winston steps up and helps her. Even though she don’t want help especially from Winston. Even when she tries to resists Winston’s help won’t let her. Their chemistry and their banter is off the charts. Winston shows you a side of him you never know was there. Drew and her son are just what he needed. You see how she’s dealing with being a single mother and how Winston is just what they both need also. I loved this story. I absolutely fell in love with both characters. Then there’s Sully, I can’t wait to see if he gets his own story. I love him! I Definitely recommend.
I received an advanced readers copy and I’m leaving a voluntary review
Drew just barely makes ends meet for her and her son. She works at Slice the Daniels family pizzeria with none other than Winston- her enemy. So what is she to do when he offers her a place for her and her son to stay when their heat is shut off?
Drew’s lips makes Winston feel alive. But nothing can happen between them. Besides the living arrangement is only temporary, then things will go back to normal between them, right?
This book was a great enemies to lovers rom-com. I enjoyed the banter and blooming romance between Drew and Winston. Drew was strong, witty, their story was cute and funny and everything I needed. I loved it! 4.5 out of 5.
