I hate Drew Woods, and she hates me.Too bad I’m not the cold jerk most make me out to be. When she needs help, I have no problem moving the single mom and her baby into my home despite how she makes me feel.Alive.She’s too mouthy, too nosy, and her curves are way too distracting for my own sanity. Giving in to Drew would be a short-lived fix, and I knead something permanent to heal my pain. I’d … something permanent to heal my pain.
I’d be insane to think we could be anything more than temporary…right?

This love hate relationship that Winston and Drew have had me cracking up and loving them so much. They’re banter is on point and they think that the other one can’t stand the other but that’s not necessarily the case. Drew is a single mom that works at Slice, is best friends to Winston’s twin sister, and she struggles but is a fantastic mom. The book starts as Winston figures out, she is struggling, and he steps in to help her and her son. Winston is a unique character that everyone thinks they have figured out but what no one realizes is there is a lot more to him under his persona. He likes to come off as this careless, carefree, mean guy but in reality he is a super amazing guy that cares deeply for those around him including Drew. These two fought and argues like crazy but it was all leading up to a romantic explosion of epic proportions. I liked that we got to see everyone from the first book and even Jonas from A Slice Of Love was mentioned. I absolutely loved this book and fingers crossed that Porter and Sully both get their books.
Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes! Teagan did such an amazing job with this book. The push and pull of feelings, the chemistry of the characters, everything was perfect!
4.5 stars
This story was a good, funny, and sweet-at-times read. When I first read book one in this series I wasn’t sure how Winston and Drew were going to go as the couple in the next book, but they definitely have a connection with one another that you can’t deny at all. Even though this is enemies-to-lovers type romance, they still had a sweet side to each other I am glad they shared.
Riker was just a cute little bundle of joy, who made me laugh a fair few times. I laughed out loud more times than I could count. Even though I wanted to slap Winston up the side of the head a couple of times, I loved him. All the stuff he hides inside, how incredible he really is. There are so many reasons to love him. Drew has had a hard life, but I am so happy she has found her place in the world and has people around her that care about her.
I really want to know more about Sully!! I just love him!!! I need a Sully book! I can’t wait to see where the next book in the series goes and who it is about. I think I might know but I can’t wait for the confirmation! I am so ready!
This is my voluntary arc review
I loved this one! I was really drawn to Winston in the last book, so I was really excited to read about him and Drew. Their banter and chemistry was off the charts. It made it such a fun book that I pretty much flew right through it. Seeing how Winston cares for not only Drew but her son, and wanting better for himself because of them…it was all kinds of sexy. There are so many great moments between them. Oh I can’t forget about Simon, he just cracks me up. Busting balls left and right, what a great dad. The entertainment was strong with this one. I ended it with a great big smile on my face!
The previous books in the SLICE series are written with complex and really likable characters with complicated lives. Drew and Winston are no different. Readers get laugh-out-loud humor, intense attraction, angst, and FINALLY – plenty of hot steamy times. Teagan Hunter has created a large cast of diverse, funny and interesting characters who move this story along in the best way to their HEA. I always love it when I feel like I’m reading about old friends. I can’t wait to read more about the people of the SLICE world. Recommend.
I really enjoy both characters witty one liners for one another. Drew & Winston both had obstacles they needed to overcome. Drew finally was able to come out of her shell . Winston set out making his hobby a real career. Lots of pushing & pulling back & forth but love won out in the end
If you’ve never read a Teagan Hunter book, you can pick up this one and fall in love with her! If you’ve already read a Teagan Hunter book then what are you waiting for? You know this story will be amazing!
The Slice series is funny and the characters you’ll fall in love with! I knead you is book 2 in that series… And I’m not craving pizza!
It has been several months since I’ve had the chance or motivation to open a book or read on my kindle. So taking this opportunity to read when I could, I couldn’t have picked a better book. Teagan, there hasn’t been a single one of your books I haven’t liked. Every book is full of laughter, sarcasm and of course romance. Not suitable for young readers, which I enjoy way too much. Gotta say this one was hot, hot, hot.
I loved the enemies to lovers aspect in this book. Drew is a bad ass new mom and Winston is a lost man for a while there. I love that Drew is the one to pull him out of it. I loved everything about this story. Sigh, (stares of longingly into the distance) these stories make you wish your life was like the characters lives in the books. Full of laughter, sarcasm, sexual tension, complications, wonder, realization, wisdom, clarity, purpose and love. Damn, if you are reading this review and even have a slight interest in reading this book, don’t hesitate. It is one hundred percent worth the read.
Drew is a single mother to a three month old boy, Riker, struggling to make ends meet. When her car doesn’t start after her shift at Slice, Winston is there to give her a ride to pick up her son and a place to stay when he realizes that she lives in a dump. Only issue is that Drew and Winston can’t stand each other. So what happens when you have two people who can’t stand each other and a baby in one house? I Knead You Tonight is what happens.
Winston and Drew both had preconceived notions about the other that were way off base. Drew’s caused her to resent/hate Winston. Winston was just angry at the world and was taking cues from Drew’s attitude. I loved how he wanted to step up and be a better man for Drew and Riker even if she didn’t want to see the true reasons behind his actions. Winston didn’t give the best first impression in Pizza My Heart (PMH) but once I learned his story I understood him better. Still thought he was a dumb dumb but I understood him better. Drew was stubborn and I wanted to smack her sometimes but I loved her and respected where she was coming from. This one wasn’t as funny as PMH but I still enjoyed it and would recommend it.
This is the 2nd installment in the Slice Series, and it’s just as good as A Pizza My Heart. If you haven’t read that one yet, I suggest you do because it’s sooooo good! This time we get to learn about Winston and Drew. Single mother Drew is Wren’s (A Pizza My Heart) best friend and absolutely hates her twin brother Winston. He’s lazy, uncaring, and smokes way too much in her opinion. But when he comes to her rescue late one night when her car won’t start, she’s slightly thankful. I say slightly because she despises the man. When he catches sight of her apartment, or what she calls an apartment, he’s glad he invited her and her infant son Riker to stay with him for a little bit. With no heat, mold on the walls, and an unsafe environment he wants to make sure that the two of them are ok. He doesn’t understand why because he despises her just as much as she despises him. It doesn’t matter that the sexual tension rolling off the pair will make anyone in a 5 mile radius fan themselves, they just can’t stand each other.
I jumped right into this story and didn’t want to stop. The writing is what pulls you in, it’s witty, faced paced, and hits you in the face. Ms. Hunter doesn’t pull punches with her characters. They’re extremely flawed, one’s a single mother and the other smokes pot like it’s his job. But these characters leap out of the pages at you, pull you in, and try to make you their friend. You feel like they’re divulging their secrets as you read the story about how they fall in love and come together as a family. The other characters are just as well rounded, there’s not a flat one in the bunch. You want to know all of them, from Simon, to Sully, to Dory. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
This is a must read for fans of enemies to lovers and rom-coms.
**I read this title using my Kindle Unlimited Subscription
Absolutely loved this book! So funny and the chemistry between the characters was off the charts. Perfect rom com
I absolutely loooooooved this book! I couldnt put it down!! If you love enemies to lovers then this book is for you! This book had me cracking up! A five star read for sure!!!
She’s a bitch to me, so I’m a dick right back. It’s how we work, how we’ve always worked. Why mess up a good thing?
Ugh I’m so obsessed with this series and these character’s. This is book 2 in the slice series and is about Drew and Winston who we met in book 1.
Drew is a single mother to 3 month old Riker. She’s trying to make ends meet and provide a better homelife for her son than she had growing up.
Winston seems to have it easy. He works at his dads pizzeria, has his own home, makes time for his passion photography and tends to do whatever he wants when he wants.
The only thing they have in common is that they both hate each other. Or so it seems.
I loved these two so much. They are constantly butting heads, both just as stubborn as each other and both just as misunderstood as each other. They both have their own issues they are dealing with and are constantly pushing each other but it comes from a place that is so deeply caring. I loved their banter and their fire. They were both fiesty as well as sweet and every moment spent with Riker was so precious.
I Knead You Tonight was an entertaining addition to the Slice series, and I enjoyed Drew and Winston’s enemies-to-lovers story. I usually love this trope, but for some reason the constant back-and-forth bickering between Drew and Winston was frustrating and annoying at times, and I just couldn’t get fully invested in the storyline and characters. With that being said, I loved Teagan Hunter’s writing style and sense of humor, and I’ll definitely be checking out the next standalone in the Slice series, Doughn’t Let Me Go.
When I first was introduced to Winston in the first book I absolutely thought he was going to be one of those bum brothers who was always so annoying it was ridiculous. But upon reading this book Winston has won over my heart. He shows his Alpha male protectiveness over Drew from the very first couple of pages and I was hooked on him from then on. I loved how their attraction to each other was so deeply hidden but yet so openly out there, and their witty, sexual banter was just hilarious and oh so steamy at the same time. Throw in that Drew has a baby by another man who wanted nothing to do with her once the two pink lines showed, I loved how strong she was in keeping the baby and working her rear off to provide for her son.
This book will make you laugh, blush, and swoon and it’s just perfect. Teagan Hunter is one of the few indie authors I really follow and read and I absolutely love her writing.
I love me an good enemies to lovers and combine that with Teagan Hunter’s humor and sass of course I loved this book.
I haven’t laughed out loud at a book in a long time! I love Teagan Hunter’s writing and her sense of humor is spot on. Sometimes a book series can get a little repetitive, but not this series! I was just as entertained with this book as I was the first Slice book.
The single dad trope is one that can go either way for me, but this one was fantastic! The feels really came through and I was rooting for the three of them from the beginning. This book had the awesome Teagan Hunter banter with a ton of heart and it was just so good!
Need a laugh? Grab a slice of this!
This book had me laughing clear up to the end!
Drew and Winston… where do I even begin?! It has been a long time since I have read an enemies to lovers book this well written. Drew is such a strong, independent woman, who has a hard time accepting any help. She’s grown to not rely on other people… cue Winston.
Winston hasn’t recently been the person anyone would go to rely on, until he finds Drew.
I loved the passion and spitfire ways of these two characters. They were real, in every form of the word. I feel like I could go meet them for pizza some day or catch them on the beach! Teagan has a way with captivating me in her work and I highly recommend to others! This is my favorite of the series! I can’t wait to read the next pizza romance!
Oh my Winston and Drew were great. Not only did the author incorporate laugh out loud moments but the bright real life issues into these characters lives and made a story that was full of heart and some angst. The secondary characters were awesome like always, the steam was the perfect amount because it didn’t dominate the story line and the drama these characters face made my heart flutter and hope for them to get that HEA that they deserve. There are some side characters that I’m hoping get books so I will be on the look out for more from this author in the future. 4 stars #2OCCJD
I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever read a couple like Drew and Winston. I’ve read plenty of enemies to lovers, but the banter and the chemistry were so real and raw. Plus add in Teagan Hunter’s brand of rom-com and you have a 5 star (or should I say slice) read.
