I hate Drew Woods, and she hates me.Too bad I’m not the cold jerk most make me out to be. When she needs help, I have no problem moving the single mom and her baby into my home despite how she makes me feel.Alive.She’s too mouthy, too nosy, and her curves are way too distracting for my own sanity. Giving in to Drew would be a short-lived fix, and I knead something permanent to heal my pain. I’d … something permanent to heal my pain.
I’d be insane to think we could be anything more than temporary…right?

Where is the ten stars? I NEED to give I Knead You Tonight a ten gloriously funny, witty, sizzling ten stars! This book was SO MUCH FUN and charming as well as down to earth and heartfelt. IKYT left me smiling and wholly content. The storyline and plot are wicked fun and leaves the heart with the warm fuzzies. I couldn’t get enough of these characters!
Teagan Hunter proves time and time again why she is one of my absolute favorite authors. The worlds she creates, the the deep raw and real relationships she creates, the hilarious moments she provides that leave me so happy and content. This story made me all of that and more. Drew and Winston were a perfect storm. They gave and they took, they fought and the loved, they were everything I was hoping for and more. This story was full of heart felt moments, but also laugh out loud moments that has me rolling on the floor laughing! I loved how much Drew and Winston pushed each other to be their best selves, to shoot for their dreams. And I loved how no matter what, they couldn’t deny their feelings for each other because they were certainly there no matter how much they tried to push their feelings aside.
From beginning to end I loved this book. There was something so special and real that I couldn’t help but fall in love.
Teagan Hunter is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite authors. Everyone needs to read this book and all of her fabulous stories <3
Cute couple and story!
The back and forth between Drew (who is a girl) and Winston was quite humorous. They say they hate each other, but you know there is a fine line between hate and love.
Drew could be a little too stubborn for me at times and the lack of support Winston received from his family was a little sad. The barbs these two flung at each other…it was something else.
Cute, easy read.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
There is humor hiding inside of heartwarming romance. Drew and Winston are learning how to coexist, even as their falling in love. Hunter sprinkles adages of wisdom inside of unforgettable stories. There’s a smile in every tear tempting hearts to take a chance on romance. I Knead You Tonight does irresistible as only Teagan Hunter can.
I Knead You Tonight is a fantastic enemies-to-lovers, single mom romance. I LOVED every single moment of this book.
Drew is a single mom to an adorable 3 month old, Riker. She works hard and does everything she can to make sure that her son has the best left possible. It is hard to not love her for who she is as a person. I wanted to hug her and be her best friend, sorry Wren! Winston is a stoner, he just kind of goes with the flow most of the time, but there is a lot more to him than what he portrays to most people.
I LOVED the banter between Winston and Drew and I loved that it was sprinkled all throughout this story. Not only was the banter great but their chemistry! I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved the protectiveness Winston felt for Drew and Riker and the need to make things easier for them. I loved that they pushed both each other to be better people, to go for their dreams.
This book was full of everything I have come to know and love about Teagan’s books and may be my favorite one to date. I hope we get more of these characters and some characters get their own stories because I am not ready to say goodbye just yet.
Grab a slice of pizza and get comfy because this a MUST READ!
I Knead You to Know was an amazing story! I ended up listening to A Pizza My Heart the week before this book came out. These characters are completely steal your heart! They’re fun, carefree, and slightly crazy while still trying to grow up and be real adults. I’ve been really curious of Winston. He seemed so lost in the last book… like he’s been wandering through life and never knowing where to go or what to do… hence my lost thoughts. Drew, well I kind of took her for a party animal and highly sexual. But she’s different than I thought she was going to be. She’s a single mom and is working hard for her baby boy. I love how she’s portrayed as a real momma that struggles and isn’t the perfect momma… she’s a real momma.
Teagan Hunter really keeps getting better with her character development and story-telling. Honestly, the people she develops are some of my favorite characters. They seem like people I’d like to hang with (and honestly, I don’t really hang with people so that’s saying something!!) Just like all of Hunter’s books, this is a hilarious and cute story that will have you laughing a ton and smiling through while you’re reading. Their little enemies to lover’s romance were way more than I had hoped for! I can’t wait to get Porter’s story, we have to be getting Porter’s story, right?!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
After meeting Drew and Winston in A Pizza My Heart, I eagerly awaited their story. These two are outrageous together and mix as well as fire and oil. But all of their mutual supposed hatred and sniping only serves to build the tension between them, turning up the heat, and it provides for one glorious, wild ride!
Drew Woods has her hands full as a single mother, and her stubborn independence precludes her from accepting help from friends, even when it’s offered. So it’s really no great surprise when her best friend’s brother, Winston, takes matters into his own hands when Drew’s car breaks down.
Winston is a bit of a conundrum. He comes across as a laid back, irresponsible, ne’er-do-well, but this guy has layers. It’s delightful entertainment to watch Drew peel back those layers while Winston pushes Drew’s buttons and gets under her skin. Drew does her own amount of pushing and it serves to make them both better people. When they realize that all that hatred is just the flip side of the love coin, well let’s just say that the shock of that realization and the ensuing fear can cause people to behave unpredictably.
Clever and fun, humorous and heartfelt, this is romantic comedy at its best. Be prepared to laugh out loud, fall in love and have your heart squeezed in the best of ways. Don’t pass up the chance to visit a quaint beachside community, get introduced to the craziest pizza toppings you’ll ever come across, and meet these amazing characters that will abscond with your heart. I Knead You Tonight is an enemies to lovers romance. Drew and Winston are like oil and water, but every time they are in the same space their chemistry is undeniable. As they say there is a fine line between love and hate.
Drew is strong, resilient, sassy and sarcastic. She’s incredibly hard working and has a tendency to say exactly what is on her mind, but is struggling as a single mother to make ends meet.
Winston is a complex hero, whilst grumpy, lazing and not appearing to have a care in the world, he has his own issues and when you see him interact with Drew and Ryker you see his huge caring and loving heart.
Whilst quite different this pair are also quite similar in that they both are incredibly headstrong and stubborn, and don’t like to let anyone help them.
Their banter is fun, flirty, antagonistic, but most of all full of moments of humor.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first title in this series, but this pair stole my heart and I hope we see more of these endearing and fun characters in future titles.
This book was absolutely everything I wanted and more to the next book in this series. Both Winston and Drew were soooo different than I expected and were both so amazing!!
Winston is definitely the person who is so much different than he makes himself appear. He’s the good guy who just lets everyone thing whatever they want instead of telling people who he truly is. Insert Drew. Seeing Winston care for Drew was a total game changer. Drew is so super tough, but everyone has their flaws. Winston came in and just swooped her up and put her back on her feet. It really floored me after what we saw of him in A Pizza My Heart. He is such a complex person, and I loved that bout him! I loved that he really kept us wondering and kept us in awe when we found out something no one else knew.
Then we have Drew who is tough as steel, and won’t let anyone in. Winston really helped break down her walls, but in the best way possible. AND LITTLE RYKER! OMG I loved Ryker so much. There is nothing better than seeing a man with a baby. Seeing Ryker with both Winston and Sully was just so darn adorable!!! Babies truly make everyone better. I think that having Ryker in her life really helped Drew in this book. And he helped Winston! Plus, her and Winston had this insane chemistry! I ADORED their weird banter and their sneaking around. Them not admiring their true feelings, all a part of the amazing falling in love gig.
There were some really bullhead things that both Drew and Winston did/went through in this book. It made for the perfect amount of reality in this romcom. You can’t have a book be all about the laughter, and Teagan is so good at bringing a romcom down to earth with real life scenarios. There were so many layers to the story and the characters, that it really kept you on the edge of your seat wanting more. And of course we have some really amazing secondary characters. I LOVED Winston’s dad and Sully in this book! These two were the ones in the background who always helped give a gentle shove in the right direction.
I can’t wait to see what Teagan has in store next!!
4.5 Cranky Stars
Oh, Drew and Winston. They act like typical little kids on a playground. You know when they say if a boy pulls your hair and calls you names, he must like you? I mean that’s totally a bullcrap saying but I digress this is exactly how they act with each other. At times it made me wince. Like ouch calm down say something nice which eventually they do. It just takes some time and some jabs along the way.
Drew Woods is a single mother to a precious three-month-old baby named Riker. She has always had only herself to depend on so she works herself to the bone and suffers from tremendous mom guilt. She has Wren and her family to rely on, but Drew doesn’t work that way. She has always hated Winston Daniels. She can’t think of a single moment where they have anything nice to say to each other so when he steps in to drive her home after her car breaks, she is skeptical. When Winston steps into her threadbare and very cold apartment he packs her and Riker up and takes them home. Winston is suffering tremendously and using anything he can to cover up the pain. He doesn’t mean to be mean to Drew but it’s all they know. He slowly starts to come around and starts changing little things about himself. He even starts to be more hands on with Riker and that’s saying a lot. Yet under it all Winston is falling apart and ignoring a very real problem. Before Winston and Drew can be official, he needs to fix himself before he can truly love anyone else.
This book was a little racier than the other books in this series. Not a bad thing just different and I guess that’s just who Win and Drew are at their core. They fight and fork like rabbits. The fight leading to the explosive forking is what they live for. Yet I felt in some way I connected to Winston. I know how pain can change who you are at your very core. You start doing things to compensate or hide the pain. Plus, I noticed a few other similarities as well in other aspects of my life. Now I’m stubborn but at times Drew drove me crazy. Like Jesus Herbert Christ let someone help you! Their constant bickering at times got to be too much and It distracted me from the story. We get to see Wren and Foster and meet Sully and Porter (albeit briefly). Despite all that I Knead You Tonight is another Teagan Hunter success!
Teagan Hunter takes you down one slice at a time with I Knead You Tonight, her second book in the Slice series focusing on Winston and Drew.
There is so much heart in this novel. Hunter develops a more complicated and in depth relationship between characters Winston and Drew. Having knew the hardships Drew was facing, Winston brought her home to take care of her and her newborn. What Winston didn’t know was the way Drew would end up changing him.
Hunter creates a coming of age story that happens to have a romantic story line. While their bickering banter and I Hate You’s reels you in, it’s the person growth the characters face that truly is the engaging part of this story. I Knead You Tonight is absolutely one of my favorite stories of Hunter’s. I can’t wait to read more from her. I have high hopes that we will find out more from the mysterious roommate and baby whisperer, Sully.
Once again Teagan has given us another laugh out loud, amazing story. Her wit, sass and one liners keep you coming back for more. I devoured this book like I did with all her others. The banter and HOT AF chemistry between Winston and Drew was off the charts. I adore how much Winston loves Drew’s son. You get all the feels in this book. I loved this one hard. You also get a reminder to not always judge a “book” by its cover. Which is the best advise out there. Can’t wait for me!
This is the second book in the Slice series. It picks up straight after the first and tells the tale of Winston and Drew. If you have read the first book, you will know that Drew is Wren’s bestie and Winston is the brother of Wren and best friend of Foster. They both work at Wren and Winston’s dads pizzeria.
Drew is a single mother trying to keep a roof over her and her baby boy’s head. It’s not easy and being as stubborn as Drew is, she doesn’t take too kindly to hand outs. So when Winston offers for her to stay at his house until she’s back on her feet again, it’s probably only because their mutual dislike towards each other that she accepts and doesn’t feel like he pities her. Little does she know, Win has had it bad for Drew for a while but is reluctant to fill her in on the details until she can believe he is worthy.
I am a fan of enemies to lovers trope as long as the hate part doesn’t drift into being down right mean and at times I felt this couple tilted on the cusp a few times. For whatever reason drove them to that level, sometimes it’s hard to get the connection and invest in the story and that they can pull through for a HEA. I liked Win’s character more than Drew probably because of his true effort to show her he had changed and wanted more than being her benefit friend. What Drew did to Winston at the hospital broke my heart, accidents do happen, and often with kids. I did like her get up and go attitude to strive to be the best not only for her son, but for herself too. If you find that passion in your vocation, it flows throw to your personal life and makes everything so much better. I’m not sure what’s next for this series, maybe the football hero and his full length story or hopefully we get to know more about Sully and what is behind the surfer dude.
Jesus, I sound like a broken record but its Teagans fault. If she didn’t write such damn great books I would be using different words to express my feelings and emotions.
Thank God this is what she does for a living. I don’t really see her doing anything else besides maybe a judge for like pizza contests or something.
This book was fantastic. All the jokes, all the drama. There hasn’t been a character that I find myself relating to until Drew. The stubbornness is a real struggle. Teagan writes in a way that you always feel for the characters. You’re rooting for them, you’re yelling at them for being a dipshit, and you’re crying with them. Drew and Win felt like the real deal. Having problems that anyone could have. That’s why I love Teagans books. They’re real. The situations aren’t far fetched or unrealistic. You see yourself wanting a best friend or maybe have a best friend, just like someone in her books. If you’re questioning whether or not to read a Teagan Hunter book, stop because there is no questioning. Do it! You won’t be disappointed. Well actually you will be because you finally finish it and have no more book left to read!!!
‘I Knead You Tonight’ is such an amazing addition to the Slice Series. This book centers around Winston and Drew, both of whom we met in ‘A Pizza My Heart’. Drew is a single mother who works her butt off to provide for herself and her child, however it seems like life just keeps trying to knock her down. To her Winston is a lazy stoner with no ambition or drive. When Winston moves Drew and her son into his house to help them out, both of them learn there is more to the other than meets the eye. They are quick to hate, but people always say there is a fine line between love and hate, and Drew and Winston are walking a tight rope between the two.
This book gave me all the feels, and proved once again why Teagan Hunter is one of my go to authors. The quick wit and the banter between all of the characters had my laughing out loud throughout this book. I also really loved that we got more background on Winston, he intrigued me so much in the first book, that I was stoked when I found out he was one of the main characters in this book. Watching Drew and Winston fall in love was so amazing to read, and it was so organic. I didn’t feel like anything was forced, it was all just super sweet and easily relatable. I hope this series continues because I know I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet!
For real i swear these Slice books get better and better. I really loved hearing Winston’s background and why he was the way he is when we read A Pizza My Heart. It all clicked and Drew made him changed for the better. I loved it. I loved Drew for trying to do the best she could with the circumstances she had been handed. I really loved that cutie, Riker. When you read this book you’ll fully see why i feel in love with these guys even more. I loved seeing Wren and Foster! Seripusly loved how she managed to slip a few surprises in on us. I cant wait for more!
Drew and Winston- what can you say other than WOW. Teagan does it again giving me a couple that I just can’t get enough of. There’s so much sass and sarcasm, this book was everything I could have wanted. Riker is the cutest little dude. I loved Drew’s past, and how much she’s overcame. I just couldn’t put it down.
