MASONWrong place, wrong time? No good deed goes unpunished? There’s probably a million ways to describe being blackmailed into a fake engagement. With the most accurate being: Sucker. WILLOWWords I never thought I would hear my sister say: “Mason, meet my sister, Willow. Willow, this is my fiancé, Mason Cartwright.” With model worthy hair, sparkling brown eyes and a scruffy salt-and-pepper … eyes and a scruffy salt-and-pepper jawline that begged to be kissed, I was trapped in his swirling vortex of charisma.
Oh, Holy Hell’s balls.
Good thing I don’t believe in love at first sight. ‘Cause if I did, I’d be booty over bean in love with Mason Cartwright.
Like Kendall Ryan and Melanie Harlow, Denise Wells brings you unapologetically high-spirited female characters sharing stories of steadfast and devoted friendships, resolute in their quests to find love.

Mason Cartwright (other than being MINE #dibs and all of those things) gets caught in a hysterically funny situation that leads him to the woman of his dreams. He just can’t manage to untwist the complications caused by the simple act of being a good guy. It’s a sexy, hysterical compound catastrophe! Denise Wells knows how to spin a tale that will have you wanting more of MY Mason.
I loved this book. The story of Mason and Willow was a breath of fresh air. I smiled the whole time I was reading this book. Mason was roped into a fake engagement by Ashlynn because she told everyone that she was getting married to her boyfriend of 2 weeks. Mason meets Willow when Ashlynn goes to visit her and he falls head over heels for her but he can’t pursue her because he is “engaged”. Mason and Willow try to fight the attraction they feel for each other and that poses to be a problem for them both and it doesn’t help that they’re are outside factors trying to keep them apart. I really enjoyed this book and once you read it, you will see why it is easy to fall in love with Mason Cartwright.
I enjoyed reading this book. This is the story of Mason and Willow. It was definitely a page turner and loved the story line. You should definitely read this.
Mason and Willow…. Willow and Mason…. Wow… I could barely put this book down. The sexual tension, humor, sarcasm and overall story line is fantastic. The characters are interesting, the story line is captivating and the book makes your heart swell with joy the further in you read. Poor Mason is stuck being engaged to someone he can’t stand and being in love with someone he can’t have. Fantastic book.
5 Cranky Stars
Mason Cartwright was having a drink in the bar of his hotel when he was approached by AshLynn to buy her a drink. A very confident young woman, who proceeds to tell him her life history. Even to the fact her fiancée had left her stranded at a wedding reception. Mason had attended a friends party and was travelling back to Seattle the next day, before he knew what he was doing he had offered her a lift back with him. With no attraction towards the girl he sort of felt sorry for. Arranging to meet next morning in reception for their travel back home.
She was late and grumbled about everything, he certainly couldn’t wait to get shot of his travel companion.
Who would know what a manipulative and conniving little madam she was. She had Mason tied up in a false engagement by blackmailing him. When in truth he rather liked her half sister Willow, but could not let his feelings be known. This went on until her mother and father started planning a lavish wedding in two weeks time!!!!
This was a page turner from beginning to end. There was always that hint of mystery like what would he do? How or if Willow would play a part in his life? Would he get married to AshLynn? A very well written book with excellent characters, making you feel sometimes happy, sometimes sad and even angry!!!
This little gem of a book gives you all the feels, but be warned the first may be annoyance. It will pass very fast. Please don’t let that put you off and I promise, you will also heart Mason. You will find yourself laughing, rooting for the couple and loving the ending.
I really loved this book. Poor Mason just didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he offered a ride to Seattle. Mason & Willow has such great chemistry, and Zach is such an odd ball. Had AshLynn just been flighty or quirky and not such an entitled princess I would have liked her more, and maybe sympathized with her but as it was I was hoping her and her mother would both end up broke and having to find real jobs. This was a really fun read that I know I’ll come back to in the future.
Bamboozled by the wrong sister.
Mason is 35, in a bar in Washington State. He sees the very young 23 yo AshLynn and thinks he may be into that.
Except, she’s got her own agenda as she steam rolls him into giving her a lift to her sister’s house three hours away the next morning.
When he drops her off at her sister’s house, he meets her sister, Willow, who’s a little closer to him in age. And its Willow who he’s instantly attracted to. Willow, too, is attracted to Mason. The only caveat?
AshLynn just introduced him to Willow as her fiancé.
Willow is great, smart, working on her fixer upper home, a ranch style house that is exactly the kind of house that Mason enjoys renovating. She’s the sensible sister, not the beauty queen, pageant sister with no job.
Highly recommend for fun and shenanigans.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
A fantastic story. The storyline is unique with two characters brought together in a bizarre fashion involving family and blackmail. Their interactions are refreshingly fabulous and will leave you shaking your head and laughing at some of their behaviors. Not to mention the insane sexual chemistry between Willow and Mason. This is one book that you need to read if you like humor and awkwardness mixed with some sexual tension and love.
WOW!!! I loved this story of these two so much!!! Mason and Willow are that instant attraction, but can’t be together in the beginning. Their chemistry is palpable right off the pages of this amazing book!!
Mason and Willow meet because of her sister – half-sister – who is fake engaged to Mason. AshLynn lets it go too far, and tries to blackmail Mason. Mason isn’t having it, which is great!!!
Willow is stuck in the middle of it all, cause AshLynn likes to pull others into her crap.
Mason is attracted to Willow, as much as Willow is to him.
OMG! I love Zach!! I want him as my bestie with the testies! And P-Tink!! She knows what’s up, and adores Mason so much!
Mason makes the decision to go away for a bit, and when he returns, Zach plays a huge role in the next steps that happens. I love that he got involved. The epilogue was so great, cause I didn’t want the book to end at all!! I want to know more Denise!!!
The story just flowed, and everything was amazing. From the beginning I was hooked and wanted to know what was going to happen next. It kept you on your toes cause you never know what was going to happen.
I loved the humour in the book too!! It was so funny when needed, and the scene with the jeep and Zach, I laughed so hard!
And let’s talk about Mason’s Mom! I love her so much!! She’s so intuitive and so in tune with Mason it’s scary. She’s so sweet, and I’m glad she got her happy ending too!
My fave quotes from the book
1. “Jonas Brothers?” “Definitely not.” – Love the music references in here!
2. “It didn’t just fly off; it was like a freakin’ missile with a water rocket chaser.” – ROFL!!! I laughed so hard, cause this is something that would happen to me. LOL!
3. “Trade secret.” He winks. My panties flood. – SWOON! Yep, I would have done the same thing!
4. I’m going to make this day my bitch. I am woman, hear me roar. – Go get ’em tiger!
5. “Wakey, wakey, time to help the beefcakey.” – I love Zach!
I truly enjoyed reading I heart Mason Cartwright. It was a fun, easy to read and a page turner. The storyline was great. This story is wonderful well written. I thought Mason and Wiiow was wonderful characters.
