Logan
She’s beautiful. Fierce. Nothing at all like the girl I used to know, which is absolutely terrifying because Danika Winters is the only person outside of that room who knows the truth. She could ruin me, and I’m not talking about my reputation. I couldn’t give two shits about what the kids at St. A’s think. I’m talking major, life altering, jail time ruined.I’ll do whatever it takes to keep … keep her quiet. Even if it means destroying the only person I’ve ever cared about.
Danika
They say when you meet the person you’re supposed to be with, time stops. Your brain takes in every microdetail, committing it all to memory, and you’re hit with this unexplainable need. A need to get to know that person, talk to that person, simply be beside that person. And then there’s the kiss. A fire spreading, earth-shattering, kiss that wipes all others from your memory. I’ve felt that pull towards someone once, and it consumed me. I wasn’t supposed to fall for my middle school best friend. But he wasn’t supposed to break my heart.
Author noteIHYILY is the first half of a duology. It contains mature subjects including drinking, drug usage, and sex and may be a trigger some people.

Story/Plot:
World building:
Character development:
The setting: Florida.
The Hero: Logan – one of the most popular guys in school, on the football team, twin to Cooper. Piper from the first book (Beautifully Broken) lives with Logan and Cooper and their mother, as a foster kid. Logan has a secret he doesn’t want to get out and he is afraid Dani will spill the beans after she moves in next door.
The heroine: Danika – was best friends with Logan in Middle school, but moved to California when her Mom got sick with Cancer. After her Mom passed away, Dani and her father returned to Florida. Danika was bullied in her last school after an ex boyfriend photoshopped her head onto a nude picture and told stories about her.
The love story: Logan knows he has some sort of feelings for Dani from the first time he sees her again, but he is a jerk to her because he is afraid she will tell people his secret. Logan is a player at the school and has been with a lot of other girls but the Queen “B” at the school, Melody claims that Logan is hers.
I loved the fact that Dani doesn’t take things lying down from the start. When Melody starts bullying Dani from the start just because she is new Dani starts a fight with her right away. I love that she is not afraid to throw a punch. It is nice seeing someone like Melody get what is coming to them. Of course it doesn’t stop Melody, but I liked it anyway.
Throughout the story a lot happens and we learn a lot about the past. Both Danika and Logan have issues in their pasts and that plays into the storylines quite a bit. The romance is slow, which is nice. Even after they realize they have feelings for each other, they don’t immediately jump into bed. Though it does happen. I liked the pace of the romance and the fact that love builds between them. Though it does feel like high school love. That whole “I can’t live without you” feeling that you have when you are young and in love is represented.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
What an amazing book. I truly loved this book. The characters are really great as well. This story just flowed really, really well. I definitely can’t wait to read more. Great job to the author.
I wasn’t expecting to feel the way I did
at the end of this book. It was an emotional
rollercoaster, but you’re left wanting more. I
really felt for these two, especially Logan. Ohhh
myyyy, I can’t even…And that cliffy, wow !!!
I’m hoping since Piper and Logan got to tell their
stories that Cooper will too(fingers crossed).
This is the 2nd book in this series and is the 1st on a duet. Danika returns to Florida when her mom passes away, and is stunned to find that her so called friends from school all seem to hate her now, but Dani is no push over, she is more than capable in standing up for herself against bullying. Logan is a playboy, popular, football player, and he we once friends with Dani, but now that she is back he is afraid that she is going to expose his secret which he believes she knows about, and is a rude jerk to her. My heart broke for Logan and what he has endured in his past. This is a well written tale which is filled with angst, drama, secrets, heartbreak, emotions, and love. I cannot wait to read the 2nd part of this story, and I recommend this author work for all.
Logan had been Danika’s best friend for years but when she went away and I was left alone with my demons, now she is back. Danika doesn’t understand why Logan is dejecting her now but she has to deal with more than her hurt feelings right now. I loved this story and the story of Logan and Danika, they both went through so much and this author told a difficult story with emotion. I can’t wait to continue their story in the next book. Highly recommended!!!
After reading Beautifully Broken, I was hoping for more of Bailey’s wonderful characters and I was so excited to hear about this one! Bailey continues to make my heart pound with her stories. This is a bully romance that’s also enemies to lovers romance but with a bit of friends to lovers and second chance also! You definitely won’t be bored! It will draw out so many emotions from you and keep you wondering!
I knew a little about Logan going into this book, but he still seemed to surprise me! At times I wanted to just knock some sense into him, but as the story goes on you find out more and more of his story and it really makes you feel for the guy. And I’ll be honest, I hated him in the beginning. I didn’t understand him and his actions frustrated me to no end. So definitely go into this knowing that, but you will end up loving and understanding him more as the book goes on. And Danika was definitely a fierce heroine. After everything, she still isn’t about to let people walk all over her.
Watching them slowly admit to their feelings and begin to understand each other was really rewarding. Getting to read in Dual POV’s we kind of know everything going on in each of their heads, but it’s a whole other story when they begin to realize it about each other.
I am so ready to read book 2! My emotions were high during this one and I am so glad I’m able to go straight into book 2, because if not this would’ve left me with a major book hangover! So it’s safe to say I recommend giving yourself time to read both parts because you won’t want to stop!
**The author does have trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, so please read them prior to reading the book.**
I Hate you, I Love you Part 1 by Bailey B five heart-breaking star read. This is number two in the Broken Love series and it was so good I immediately pre-ordered part 2, before I was even halfway through this one. I adored the first novel in the series and was worried that the author wouldn’t be able to keep the angst and drama level so high, while still having a good story, usually I find the favour one over the other, but wow this author manages it so well, considering these are their first few works that shows real talent. I love coming across an author like this as they have a refreshing voice that is really good. I was umming and arring about if I should read this one or wait for number two to drop and I read it, but was so consumed by it its taken me almost a week to sit and write this review, I didn’t want to just sit and write what I enjoyed as I couldn’t put in to words how emotionally gripping this story was, it could be written as a bunch of teenage drama, but there is a realness and a great depth to the characters, that make them wise beyond their years and I will be honest when I read the first story I wasn’t a huge fan of the main character in this story Logan was someone I kinda wanted to throat punch, he just irritated me, but then we got to know the real Logan and not the façade he shows to the world and no more throat punching feelings, just gratitude and honour that he was so strong. Now stop reading and go pick up this amazing story and then pick up the next one and whatever else this author comes up with as I am sure there will be many great stories to come.
Title: Good but heavy
Content:
I liked the story but it was a bit too heavy for me. Just wanted to warn everyone around. The blurb does say some of the trigger points such as sex, drug abuse, and more but many weren’t exposed. Some other things that annoyed me and scared me were the way they acted to each other. It was rough to read this story and I have to say I wasn’t able to complete it. I liked the suspense in this story and the plot but that wasn’t able to stop me from dropping it.
People who like heavier concepts, sex scenes, and mature language will like this book for sure. But people who like softer, more emotional novels such as me will most likely have the same thoughts as me.
I wrote this voluntary review in exchange for an ARC copy.
What I thought would be a high school bully romance turned out to be so much more. Logan and Danika were best friends until Danika moved. After three years Danika returns, and Logan isn’t welcoming. But Danika is determined to get her old friend back. As the story continues you learn more about there sad past. This is part 1, so it did end on a cliffhanger. And it can’t come soon enough, I want to know what happens!
Bailey B is a new author to me, and I’m glad I got introduced to her. I Hate You, I Love You was a good book. I enjoyed reading about Logan and Danika and their struggles.
Danika and Logan knew each other from middle school, but Danika’s life demanded her to move. A few years later she’s back with heartbreak, troubles, but excitement to see her former best friend. If only he was as happy to see her as she was him.
Logan is my man, just so you know.
Slowly these two reconnected and discover that their life drastically changed. I loved the relationship between these two. It had a great build-up and showed that these two truly were a match made in heaven. It was beautiful to read how much they supported each other through thick and thin. And there was a lot of thick and thin stuff, believe me.
It was a great read to discover this new author, but there were some things that held me back from giving this book a higher rating. ‘The problems’ I had with this book felt like they could have been easily avoided.
Some parts had great writing. And I mean great writing. It could bring me to tears, but some parts needed way more. Some parts felt rushed and needed to be dragged out like crazy. There’s a thing as writing too much, but I rather have more than less here. It gives insight, creates depth and ensures a more pleasant reading experience. The writing is there, believe me, but books need more. It also ensures that your characters will be more consistent.
In general, I Hate You I Love You by Bailey B was a good read with a ton of potential. I enjoyed reading it, and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
I fell in love all of the characters from the first book but couldn’t wait to get a hold of the Harris twins! First off, I had to reread Rex and Piper’s story and then I dug into this duet which is Logan and Danika’s duet story!
The title fits this couples relationship. I was so curious about this dark soul that Logan carried around in the first book. I couldn’t fathom why Logan hated Danika so much at the beginning of this book and I felt so sorry for Danika until you find out soon that she can handle her own.
I’m not the kind of blogger to tell you all of the goods of a story so you will just have to find out yourself! One thing though I would recommend is to have time to read them back to back because you will want to reread the whole series and continue to the next! Part 2 of this duet will be out in September!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Finally a book to get me over my reading funk! This is the book I have been wanting since I read ‘Beautifully Broken’. I love Logan. I can’t wait until the next one. Thank you [author:Bailey B.|15235895] for writing great stories! Also thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
Wow, this story blew me away! I was intrigued and captivated right from the first words. I’m not sure which romance trope I’d say this book falls into…friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, high school bully romance…so, I’d say a little bit of it all and it’s a pretty amazing combo. This is my first book by Bailey B. and I’m an immediate fan of her writing!
Danika and Logan were friends in middle school, but then Danika moved away. After moving back in high school, she’s crushed to discover just how different Logan is and confused why he now seems to hate her. She’s one tough cookie though and refuses to bow down to anyone. There’s a whole lot of cruel and mean high schoolers and teenage angst, but this story then goes way beyond that with a few different emotional and complicated relationships, especially the one between Logan and Danika. Their bond is unique and special but fraught with secrets, lies and betrayal. Their slow burn journey was often sweet and swoony, however, it was also heartbreaking!
Obviously with it being Part 1, I was prepared for a cliffhanger…so with my heart hurting right along with them, I’m completely invested in seeing these two get their happily ever after and couldn’t wait to start Part 2!
I Hate You, I Love You Part 1 by Bailey B is the second book in the Broken Love series and though this can be read as a standalone, you will get more out of the stories if you read them in order. Logan and Danika’s story will break your heart. Both of them have been through so much and yet, so much still stands in their way. Danika was such a strong character, but she was also very sweet and caring. Logan could be a cruel bully, but there is also so much more to this character. There is a connection there, but the past weights on them. And that ending! Can’t wait to read Part 2 and see what cones next!

Happy reading.
I Hate You, I Love You is a two part book and we hate, but love you Bailey while we wait for Part 2 Haha. This is Logan’s story and while you don’t have to read the first book (Beautifully Broken) written by this author you may find that you will enjoy it more. To each person’s opinion. Logan and Danika’s story begins being told in the past to help us learn the background story of their relationship and what transpires. It is full of love/hate and never would I have suspected Logan’s story to be like this from what you read in the BB book. Shame on Mama T in this book, her actions were so much different. Logan you want to strangle with his actions and whiplash when it comes to Danika and their friendship. Your heart is beating strong at the end of this book and we need Part 2 of the now to see if we can fall in love with Logan again and hug Bailey once she cures our broken heart. Whether you pick up this duo story or her first book, you will find that you just found a go to author to add to your list. I highly recommend reading this author and love that us older people can enjoy these young adult stories.
Bailey broke my heart again people!!! But in a good way lol.
Logan and Danika just consumed me from the beginning. Bailey is so good at hooking you from the start. She knows what draws the readers in with those first few chapters. Really builds up the anticipation!
But both Logan and Danika broke my heart for different reasons. Both had me yelling at them for stupid stuff lol. Mainly Logan, hehe, he threw me in the beginning and I was like DUDE come on really!! But deep down I knew he had that soft spot only for Danika. Some things even surprised me about him in the end.
Now Danika was my little spitfire! Poor girl was been through so much but she was strong, for the most part, only broke down to Logan. He was the only one who truly got to see her.
I hate to have to say it sends on a cliffy if you didn’t realize the whole “part 1” on the cover lol. But boyyyy it leaves you really wanting more and ready for part 2.

Not many books nowadays make me really, really, really want the next right a way but this one does. It had drama, bullying, secrets, childhood sweethearts and so much more. The cliffhanger at the end is disclosed but still came as a surprise. I cannot wait for the next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this book. It really pulled at my heartstrings. The book is really well written and keeps those pages turning.
Danika and Logan have a history, they were best friends years ago and when Dani returns to the area after her mother dies, they see each other again.
Logan is not a nice guy at first, but we do eventually learn the reasons behind his bullying, although it doesn’t last for very long.
Dani is a lovely character, she stands up for herself and what she believes in, not caring what others think.
I’ve got to say, I did not like the ending. It does not show Dani in a very good light at all and I don’t think I can forgive her for what she has done.
Highly ENJOYABLE!
An amazing enjoyable read that gives you all the feels and kept me infused to my kindle as the well written story feels lifelike and relatable with captivating chemistry and endless intrigue. A read worth reading and definitely can’t wait to read more.
I loved reading Logan and Danika’s story. This book gives you all sorts of feelings while reading it you don’t know weather or not to yell, scream, cry, or laugh at was is going on between Logan and Danika. This is part 1 of there story and can’t wait to read part 2. Great read and can’t wait to see what comes next for Logan and Danika.
