With her disarming, intimate, completely accessible voice, and dry sense of humor, Nora Ephron shares with us her ups and downs in I Feel Bad About My Neck, a candid, hilarious look at women who are getting older and dealing with the tribulations of maintenance, menopause, empty nests, and life itself.
Ephron chronicles her life as an obsessed cook, passionate city dweller, and hapless parent. … hapless parent. But mostly she speaks frankly and uproariously about life as a woman of a certain age. Utterly courageous, uproariously funny, and unexpectedly moving in its truth telling, I Feel Bad About My Neck is a scrumptious, irresistible treat of a book, full of truths, laugh out loud moments that will appeal to readers of all ages.

There has never been anyone who can share feminine neuroticism in as entertaining a way as Ephron does. I don’t understand women any better after reading her but I do find them more interesting.
This is a light book that shows what Nora Ephron was thinking through some of the seminal moments in her life. It has lots of humour and I enjoyed it. It has made me appreciate the movies she has written and directed and I recommend it for someone who likes humorous essays
A bit disappointing
Quick and easy read (mini essays) about daily life for older or aging women. Witty with truth to it. A great read for any woman entering their 50s.
Another entertaining book from Nora. Truly miss her wit.
Great book to read if you struggle with aging in any way…and most women, like me, sure do have a difficult time transitioning gracefully into old age. Clever and informative at the same time. Inspiration with humor and wit! Highly recommend!
Quick read, but some pearls of wisdom here. Funny and heart-warming.
A laugh riot. As a woman of similar age, I could relate! I miss her!
Nora was a unique talent
I can look in my mirror and laugh out loud.
Each individual narrative is a wonderful “read.”
Another great Nora Ephron book.
Ephron was a self-deprecating woman who faught and embraced aging simultaneously. Any aging woman can relate.
Hilarious. Nora Ephron gets right to the heart of aging. Don’t all women hate the way the necks look as they age? She is witty and real!
I will read this again. It was entertaining.
I just love this writer! She never fails to entertain.
Highly entertaining! Sarcastic, without being mean. She was very talented
I love this book. Nora Ephron never failed to keep me reading. I am just sorry she’s not here to give us more stories.
Great tongue in cheek about growing older. Women of a certain age will know exactly what is being said but the whimsey and humor enjoyed by all.
I love reading Nora Ephron. This book is meant for all of us women who are dealing with the unfairness of gravity. She tells how she handled life’s ups and down’s with dignity and when that was impossible (often) humor. I highly recommend this book.
