Bogs down a bit in places, but still a good read.
Wonderful quirky family, great coming of age story
Who would’t want to help out the young people living there? The father was such a jerk and I felt he could have made such a difference if he had opened his eyes. His wife Topaz was a woman who had an unusual life married to that brilliant sap. I loved the Vicar!
I love Cassandra and her family and the other characters in this book. Being a lover of historical novels, this one is a peach!! I learned much about castle life, the beauty vs the inconvenience.
