SOME PUZZLES ARE DEADLY.It was an idea that was full of hope. But it turned into a nightmare. And now a serial killer wants to test himself against one of Scotland Yard’s most unique investigators.Jonathan Roper is a key player in the elite Special Investigations Unit. His autism, and a relentless drive, has given him an extraordinary range of skills which make him a formidable detective. His … formidable detective.
His reputation has grown to the point where he has been invited to join the digital fight against terror – but that’s not working out, as it means losing contact with his boss, Chief Inspector Brian Hooley. The pair formed a powerful bond while bringing down a gang of ruthless mercenaries running riot in London.
Now events are throwing them back together, and soon they realise that this new investigation is completely personal. The enemy has them in his sights and wants to kill.
Despite the very real tensions Roper can’t resist once again turning his critical eye on the long suffering Hooley. Rarely can one man have come under so much pressure for his lifestyle choices.
Their special relationship provides a stream of genuine humour at the heart of what is a dark, psychological thriller.
I Can See You is the second novel in the crime series, Jonathan Roper Investigates, but it can be read as a stand alone.

I so enjoyed this book . It’s the second in the series and just as good as the first. I’m pleased to see the continued quality of the writing. It is one of the best detective thriller series I have read. The reader is engaged in the story throughout. Lots of interesting twists and turns and I didn’t see the end result coming.
Once again the duo of Hooley and Roper work so well together.
Hooley manages the autistic detective Roper and whilst I realise how “ special” autistic people are ( not meant to sound patronizing) I had to laugh at this quote from Hooley after Jonathon ( Roper) had made a statement:
“ Could you run that past me again, only this time with subtitles?”
All in all a brilliant book.
“I Can See You” by Michael Leese is a psychological thriller that pulls readers into every page wondering what will happen next. Is the grisly description of the work of Mr. Roberts, a serial killer, sought by Scotland Yard’s Special Investigation Unit the main theme of the story or is the search by analysts of Britain’s secret intelligence team for specific international problems the main theme? How does the search for the serial killer relate to the work of the intelligence community? After reading about one of the gruesome murders by the serial killer Mr. Roberts, we meet Scotland Yard’s Detective Chief Inspector Brian Hooley who is called away from Scotland Yard to help Jonathan Roper, a super intelligent autistic analyst, who is having a problem putting together information and Hooley’s presence to help hm. We also meet Assistant Deputy Commissioner Julie Mayweather who has to find the serial killer and could use the help of both Hooley and Roper. Will Hooley and Roper help her or is the international problem Roper is working on more important? The way the themes seem to work together gives readers some sense of comfort but as the end of the story approaches, readers become shocked with what is really going on. I highly recommend this exciting book.

A little hard to get into but well worth it once got the gist of the story. Interesting characters. Thought provoking
The characters are the heart of this book, but the story line is quite interesting. I really enjoyed this book. Highly recommend!
Even though I am not a technical savvy person I enjoyed this book. The charecters were all interesting and I did not guess the villain until the end of the book.
Great book. The writer hit the mark with the description of Jonathon’s ASD. Interesting twists all around.
An intriguing book with a main character who has high functioning autism. It holds very true to the reality of a person with autism while highlighting the amazing work they are capable of doing. It is a good mystery that will keep you reading to the end.

Good read
The book gave you an inside look at special needs people, especially those with Autism. It shows how people are still biased against special needs people.
