What an ending! This book is wonderful and if you didn’t love Mark Compton before – You MOST DEFINITELY WILL after reading I Belong to You.
In I Belong To You we get to see Mark grow as a man and not as a DOM. He faces things with his past, he faces his mother’s cancer and then he faces his true feelings for Crystal. He doesn’t want to want her, but she grounds him in ways that no other woman ever has, not even Rebecca. He opens his true-self up to Crystal, because she sees ALL OF HIM and he is not able to hide anything from her.
Just when he thinks that he has a plan and thinks that he has everything in CONTROL – Crystals life hangs in the balance and he know that he would and will do anything to protect her and that he would be devastated if anything were to happen to her.
I LOVED I BELONG TO YOU!!!!
Mark Compton has his demons caused by both distant and recent events. He’s all about control in every aspect of his life. Being a Master is who he is yet with Crystal Smith he wants to be just a man too. Crystal has her own demons and she’s determined not to give anyone control over her now or ever. However, Mark speaks to something deep inside of her. With Crystal, Mark finally finds redemption and peace. Keeping her safe no matter the cost becomes all he cares about. The final chapter in Rebecca Mason’s disappearance is finally ended.
4-4.5 I’ve been looking forward to Mark’s full length novel from the start and it did not
disappoint. Mark always has to be in control but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him soften and open up around Crystal. The whole Ava fiasco came to an anticlimactic end. I know the story truly focuses on Mark & Crystal but the Rebecca/Ava story has been the back drop of the entire series and just wanted a bit more flare. I am sad to see the series is coming to and end but can’t want to see Chris and Sara again
This is Mark and Crystal’s story. Mark moves to New York to be close to his mother, Dana, as she is battling stage 3 breast cancer. He also needs to be there to help run Riptide, her art gallery, and to escape the press of San Francisco. There is a chink in his armor though, and her name is Crystal aka Ms. Smith. In a night of alcohol induced weakness, Mark had flown Crystal out to San Francisco to see him. Of course, they quickly became intimate; but, he needs to end this now. He presents Crystal with a Master/Sub contract and as suspected she refused.
Crystal is appalled that Mark asked her to enter such a contract. No one is her master except her self. She will not have any part in this master/ sub life style. Mark confuses her by one minute showing the kind, caring, person he can be with is family and then returning to his asshole ways.
What is quickly apparent is that they can’t be apart. Mark and Crystal’s demons follow them, causing her to fight his control and him to fight to control in order to protect. It isn’t long before they are living together and out in the open with their relationship. This also lands Crystal in ICU as a pawn in a game to destroy Mark.
