An Amazon Charts bestseller.
What would it take to make you intervene?
When Ella Longfield overhears two attractive young men flirting with teenage girls on a train, she thinks nothing of it—until she realises they are fresh out of prison and her maternal instinct is put on high alert. But just as she’s decided to call for help, something stops her. The next day, she wakes up to the news that … she wakes up to the news that one of the girls—beautiful, green-eyed Anna Ballard—has disappeared.
A year later, Anna is still missing. Ella is wracked with guilt over what she failed to do, and she’s not the only one who can’t forget. Someone is sending her threatening letters—letters that make her fear for her life.
Then an anniversary appeal reveals that Anna’s friends and family might have something to hide. Anna’s best friend, Sarah, hasn’t been telling the whole truth about what really happened that night—and her parents have been keeping secrets of their own.
Someone knows where Anna is—and they’re not telling. But they are watching Ella.

Didn’t See That Coming. Once I settled into knowing who was who, the story progressed nicely. The author kept me guessing as to whom the antagonist was as there were several candidates. I enjoyed the story and the surprise ending.
This thriller left me satisfied. The author kept the same pace throughout the story. She unfolded using various characters POV. It was a richer experience.
The end was an unexpected twist.
I was immediately sucked into the story. The twists and turns kept me turning the pages. I couldn’t put the book down.
Recommend to readers who enjoy psychological thrillers.
I won a copy. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
This is the first time I’ve read a book by this author, and she did not disappoint. I love mysteries and am pretty good and guessing the who in the whodunnit, but not this time around. What also stands out about I Am Watching You is that I didn’t just care about the mystery, I cared about the characters embroiled in it. I find that in a lot of crime novels, the storyline is strong and tension is high, but the character development is just ‘meh.’ Not the case here. I definitely recommend this easy but engrossing read to anyone looking for a good mystery.
Either you’ll love this book or find it boring. I bore easily and am fairly good at detecting where a mystery is going. I thought it was a good, quick, entertaining read.
Several story lines woven into this book.
The blurb pulled me in and the beginning went off with a bang.
There were multiple POV’s: The Witness, The Father, The Friend, The Investigator and Watching and I loved the different chapters and unraveling the pieces.
Then one chapter ended abruptly when things finally came to a head and the next chapter was an epilogue. The reveal of the watcher seemed out of nowhere and rushed after so many chapters.
Overall entertaining read.
As I started reading this, I kept going back to “Girl on a Train”, which I disliked. “I am Watching You” was better, and all similarities soon ceased.
I generally don’t like books that jump around from various points of view. We had too many characters here with their little back stories and dirty secrets. Conveniently, all for tied together at the 90% point.
I’m glad I got this one for free.
This book will keep you guessing until the very end. Just when you think you have it figured it out there’s a new twist.
Good storyline. I enjoyed reading this book.
Kept me engrossed whenever i had a chance to pick it up! Always the sign o f good suspense.
A good mystery. A little predictable.
Had my heart pounding from the start!
When “Would you?” becomes real, things get complicated quick! Wonderfully complex characters make it easy to get lost in the mystery.
Very drawn out. Not as twisty as I’d thought. Read more like a family drama than a thriller. If it was shorter, it might have been worth it, but the big twist just felt anti-climatic.
i like the book
This book is a good read. It does a lot of jumping around from one character to another and its hard to keep up with what secret goes to what character. It did surprise me with the ending.
It bounced around a lot not really that easy to read. You would just start to get interested and on the edge of your seat the book would jump to anther person and you would lose that edge of your seat feeling. There were things in the story that you would like to have read about as they were happening “the barn with the father and the police” but that was skipped over and in a few lines you were briefed on what happened. Same thing with the “hold off”, “Sarah’s fathers arrest” it would have been nice to have a little more closure on Matt’s life. Could have skipped things like the long narrow driveway and more detail on things you wanted to read about. More from the person watching and what they were doing and thinking.
I was an original story line with an unpredictable ending.
This internationally bestselling novel is literally unputdownable. I started reading on a cold winter afternoon and when I finished it was two o’clock in the morning, the heating had gone off and I was half frozen, but I didn’t even notice.
I cared about the characters so much that I couldn’t bear to part with them until I had finished reading their story. The author’s humanity and goodness of heart shine through this novel about a missing child and the repercussions of this loss. The reader could tell Teresa must be a mother herself and that she knows perfectly well that the worst thing that could happen to any mother would be to lose her child.
The twist at the end is brilliant. A five star read and deserving of its success.
I loved this book for many reasons. I love books with short chapters as it works well with my OCD in that I like to leave a book at the beginning of the next chapter. This book works well with short chapters as each chapter was written in the view of that character. This allows for great character building as you get to know so many characters in the book. This author also had several characters that kept secrets and these secrets were not revealed until quite a way through the book. This was definitely easy to read with lots of character development and a lot of suspense. I highly recommend this book.
I don’t know what the hype is. I thought this book was really slow and spent too much time on some things, I didn’t find it suspenseful, I’m surprised I finished this. Wanted to give this a chance I guess.
