I’ve been offered a job at the Night Firm.
To work for four of the hottest men I’ve ever met.
Correction. Four of the hottest vampires I’ve ever met.
They don’t tell me what I’ll be doing.
They don’t tell me where I’ll be working.
Simply that I am their only candidate.
If I take the job, I’ll gain financial freedom, a new home, and answers to questions better left unasked. But at what cost?
Because my new job is more than anything I could have ever imagined. It will take me to the home of Count Dracula and the den of a kitsune. To the paradise of Lilith and a world trapped in time. It will bind me to the most dangerous men alive. It will break me and make me whole.
My heart.
My life.
My soul.
I may lose them all to the Night brothers.
But in the end, it will be my choice.
My name is Eve Oliver.
Welcome to the Night Firm.
This is a slow burn reverse harem paranormal romance.
A vampire romance with bite! For fans of Stephenie Meyer, Cassandra Clare, Laurell K. Hamilton, Patrica Briggs, Bella Forrest, J.R. Ward and Sherrilyn Kenyon!

one of the best reverse harems I’ve read!
Eve is not psychic, but when she gets a flash she knows not to ignore it. So she makes a left where she would normally take a right, gave money to homeless man in exchange for his newspaper. Which is where she finds the job ad. She almost canceled the interview, but got a flash and knew she had to go no matter how weird the receptionist had sounded.
She arrives at the interview and is speechless. The first man in the door is Sebastián, the man from the subway who she had an overwhelming urge to draw. He was the most gorgeous and sexiest man she has ever seen. And then he is followed in by his 3 brothers. How can they all be so breathtaking? All uniquely different, but with a familiarity to each other.
This is not a genre I have ever read or had an interest in, but when I read the book blurb I knew I had to give it a try. I absolutely love the writing style of Karpov Kinrade. This husband/wife team brought this world to life for me with their wonderful characters and amazing storyline. Transitioning from the Mundane to the Otherworld was easily believable. I fell in love with the Night brothers and Eve. I love how the writers brought characters from our childhood to life and humanized them. I am looking forward to continuing this series and reading the rest of their books.
I Am the Wild: A Reverse Harem Vampire Romance (The Night Firm Book 1) Kindle Edition
by Karpov Kinrade
I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am choosing to leave a fair and honest review.
This was an amazing book. Kinrade has created a beautiful and fitting tribute to her late brother with this work. I cannot get over the passion and emotion in the story, in the characters and in the actual prose.
The main character, Eve, reminds me of a dear, dear friend who went back to school to get her law degree and ended up in the US Military with JAG (she just got her Major’s oak leaves). The character has the right amount of sauce for a woman who not only knows her worth, but isn’t afraid to show it.
Eve is desperate for a job About to lose the home she shared with her departed twin brother and low on funds, she stumbles on to a job want ad for a mysterious job. She finds herself soon employed, housed and working for the Night Brother. They are four handsome, lethal and intense lawyers who just happened to be vampires. They are the defense attorneys to the supernatural world. And this time, they are defended the arch-vampire, Dracula. He isn’t the only legend to appear in this story, but that would be a spoiler! They have hired Eve to help them defend their clients in the Otherworld’s court system.
Characters are drawn with a fine brush, rather than a broad one. This gives them depth even though this is our first experience with many of them. This can also be seen in the Otherworld that is almost a character on its own. The side characters are deliciously unusual as are the various magicks and court procedures
Kinrade (both of them) use beautiful metaphors, ranging from the temperament of each of the four elements to a serial domestic abuser being portrayed as a true monster. The prose used to do so is brilliant as the sun. I also really enjoyed the fitting poetry and quotes that start each an every chapter. They were expertly chosen to drive the meaning of the chapters home.
The romance portion of this is a very slow burn, as in nothing really happens until the final tenth of the book and even then not much happens.
Even with that in mind, this supernatural legal thriller woven into a slow burn RH is a gorgeously created story that I stayed up until 4 am to finish.
Amazing, passionate and at times very tragic and touching, this is a series to explore.
Warning: I am not a fan of trigger warnings, but this story involves themes of suicide and domestic abuse and comes with a cliff-hanger.
5 stars out of 5

I Am the Wild is a fantasy romance by Karpov Kinrade. It’s the first in a series called The Night Firm, and is a reverse harem story focused around a family of vampires.
I’ll start by saying that I didn’t intend to read this book. In fact, I had no plan to finish the entire thing in one day, but that’s exactly what I did. I stumbled across it, and read the preview. I was immediately hooked, and since it was on KU, I just sent it over to my Kindle and kept reading.
The characters are absolutely easy to fall in love with. I think I’ve picked up a few new book boyfriends after today! The story hooked me in right away. It’s rare to find books with both good dialogue and description, but this writing duo seems to have it down. I enjoyed the complex characters, the building story layers, and the details which painted the pictures so clearly.
Eve is the main character and starts the story recoving from major trauma. Her life has turned upside over the recent years, and she’s gone from well-off to nearly on the street. The perfect job magically appears, and she meets four mysterious brothers who run a law firm – only at night. What follows is a wonderfully balance experience in which she is beginning to learn about each of the brothers. You clearly get the sense that this reverse harem love nest is going to take a long time, and perhaps many books, to completely play out. Don’t expect lots of graphic bedroom adventures in this volume, but do count on plenty of chemistry!
I will say there are some things which struck me as… I don’t want to say cheesy exactly, but a bit off-putting initially. Such as when we meet Dracula and Lilith. However, in the end of it all, Dracula becomes one of my favorites. So just roll with it and let the story play out. The ending has a great twist!
Holy hell, that was a wild ride and that ending!! I have absolutely fallen in love with these characters and cannot wait to read what happens next! This is a seriously great read!
I’m new to reading RH, and this book is a great introduction to the genre, in large part because the RH storyline isn’t the main focus. There’s so much more to this world.
Karpov Kinrade has a unique writing style that just draws you in from page one, and you’ll hit the end of the book way too soon and not even realize you’ve been reading for hours.
Uniquely Beautiful and captivating from beginning to end!
I could not put this book down! Its captivating and engaging from beginning to end. It is also heart wrenching and courageous. Its so unique and interesting it has a little bit of everything from mystery, paranormal, and romance and “who done it” to solve a murder. Our main heroine is struggling with a lost of a loved one and you can see it and feel it on your bones and yet she is doing her best to help “the night firm” who handles justice for the paranormal creatures. How she was able to joined the firm is still a mystery since shes human after all.. or is she? the best part? aside from 4 beautiful sexy vampires, each chapter quotes a beautiful poem or quote that touches your soul
Great read ! My first book for this author and I’m a fan !! The story line pulled me in from the beginning. The character development and events kept me turning pages. And the ending ………..!!! Waiting patiently for book 2.
I have fallen in love with this book and series. The main character Eve and so many of the themes resonated with me on such a personal level. I honestly felt as if Eve was based on me. My experiences, my thoughts, feelings, reactions.
Don’t get me wrong it probably is not the most poignant or profound work. But there is something there. There is something that pulls you in. Mesmerizing. Ironically since we are talking about vampires and they are supposed to be able to mesmerize.
In lumen et lumen.
I’ve never read a harem or reverse harem novel before, but I love these authors, so of course I was going to give it a shot. Per the typical, I was sucked in from the first few teaser chapters the authors made available on the KK Coven Facebook page and could not wait to get my hands on the full book. A great story, with the beginnings of good character building (since we still haven’t really gotten to know the night brothers). They have the Vampire Girl series already, but this is an entirely different feel… and totally different story. What’s great is if maybe reverse harem isn’t your thing, that is definitely not the main focus of the story. You’ve got the mystery of the night brothers, the mystery of Eve, the mystery of each case the firm takes on, and then the bomb that was dropped at the end of this book, let alone what may be going on with the romance side of things. Anyway, loved this book and cant wait for the second one!
