The first book of the #1 New York Times bestselling series and the inspiration for the hit movie from Dreamworks!John Smith seems like an ordinary teenager, living a normal life with his guardian Henri in Paradise, Ohio. Michael Bay, director of Transformers, raved: “Number Four is a hero for this generation.” This epic story is perfect for fans of action-packed science fiction like The 5th Wave series by Rick Yancey, The Maze Runner series by James Dashner, and Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game.
The battle for Earth’s survival wages on. Read all of the books: #2: The Power of Six, #3: The Rise of Nine, #4: The Fall of Five, #5: The Revenge of Seven, #6: The Fate of Ten, and #7: United as One.
Don’t miss the first book in the brand-new I Am Number Four spin-off series: Generation One.

I saw the movie ‘I am number four’ and I decided to read the series because that would be the only way I’d find out what happened after the movie. I LOVE dystopian books, and this series is sci fi but not in a bad way. I love the story, but I think the author could have done a better job with identifying the character narrating. Starting with the …
I enjoyed this book and the series because I could relate to the characters and their emotions.
I also thought this book spoke to me, I am very superstitious and this book confirmed that my superstitious(even though it is a fictional book) were right there is life on other planets.
During this series, I cried, laughed, and possibly talked to …
This book is the first book in this series. I liked the story and characters. The pace of the story is a little slow at times but the story is well developed. I have my nieces reading it now and they love it.
This book is tragic because at the end Henri dies. He was a very important character!
This book is entertaining because there is a lot of cool events that happen through the book!
This book is a Page-Turner because you can’t stop the book, you have to finish it!
This book is romantic because there is a lot of like girlfriend and boyfriend!
This …
After this book, the author jumps from character to character alot. In the beginning it was difficult to keep up, but by book 3 I got the hang of it. I loved all the books.
This whole series is one of my all-time favorites! I can’t get over the story!
3.5 stars.
I wish I could have given it a solid 4 but honestly it has some flaws that just didn’t sit well with me.
I enjoyed the characters and the setting. Both aspect were done in a way that really emphasized being in the middle of nowhere and shifting lives quickly as the changes occurred. You really are able to feel the anticipation they …
This is the perfect book for you if you enjoy reading an action books or adventure books.
An interesting and engaging premise of aliens living (and fighting each other) here on Earth. The writing is strong and packs an emotional punch on many levels for adults and teens alike. The message of taking care of our planet is not as subtle as this reader would have liked, but if the book is intended for YA, it works. A strength of the book …
I really liked this book! It was way better than watching the movie- though I enjoyed that also. It has a series that follows that seem a little slower than the first one, but I’m excited to find the conclusion.
it is an amazing book i just wish that Pittacus lore would tell us what really happened because this is a real story. But Pitacus just changes one names. So this has me wondering id pittacusis one of lorien’s elders.
I read this book back in 2009, and I have kept up with the series ever since.
If you’re looking for a good series you will love this. If you want the story wrapped up at the end of the book you’re not going to want to read this. The book ends on a huge cliff hanger and you’re going to want to start book 2 the Rise of Six as soon as you finish Four’s story.
These books are so easy to read and have such a great story line. Romance, action, adventure, tragedy. They are well rounded and an excellent read. Definitely geared towards high school age, but a fun read for any age really.
I am Number Four! With this book, I did what I normally would NOT do, I watched the movie first. I had no idea that there was a book series out and I saw the movie on Netflix and thought it sounded interesting. However, the moment I realized it was a book series, I just had to get it because I enjoyed the movie so much. I was not disappointed. …
Great book series!! Hard to stop reading…
A good full read. Satisfying!
One has to remember that this is written for young people so there is a lot of teenage angst. It is a curious story that is fine for a first read, but I won’t be continuing on with the series.
Great read. Totally enjoyed it.
Didn’t like the writing, characters, story line.
