This is a real emotional roller coaster of a book. Ditter Kellen knows how to suck you in to a psychological thriller.
The ending you won’t see coming. I highly recommend this story.
This is me apologizing for all the curse words bleeped out….cause this sh*t is crazy af. This book had me cussing like the unofficial sailor that I am. This was a difficult book for me to get through, not because it wasn’t good…it’s because it was. I put it down and back up several times in the beginning, the story content taking me to a place I wasn’t willing to go. A personal place, that reaches deep down in my soul and heart. I don’t do well with child abuse of any kind, even if it’s not graphic….thank f*ck for that…I’d be having nightmares for weeks. This is definitely one of my favorite authors and she writes powerful books, but sometimes I have to have the right mindset to go into her world. This book will leave you raw, heart wrenching and needing some damn coddling….or wine. And because it’s like a train wreck…I already read the 2nd book.
Please note, this book is not to be taken lightly, and this review is not to be taken lightly. This book had more triggers than a gun shop, yup it’s exactly like that.
An action packed story that leaves you wondering how people can be so cruel. The story is about a small town girl named Elenor who has been abused her entire life. The town knows and nothing can be done. The disappearance of a few people has the police baffled and leads to an unbelievable investigation.
Extremely well written and almost easy to read. The abuse scenes are written where it is left to the imagination of the reader. An action packed page turning read that I couldn’t put down.

Oh my goodness you get to the end and go ‘what the hell’ yeah I didn’t see that coming at all. This girl has had a life of twisted horror in this small town. Her story was a train wreck that I couldn’t stop watching. In fact I just curled up on the coach and kept reading until I was done, and I sure was emotional done. I think my heart is still pounding as I type this review.
I don’t want to give away the story, you just have to read it.
It was a difficult read in that I was almost in tear throughout the book. How horrible but it happens and people need to be aware and speak up! But I did not see the end coming and it was shocking and absolutely unexpected! Read this to find out! This author is amazing!

I enjoyed reading this story, it grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let up. It’s extremely well written and kept me guessing and sitting on the edge of my seat. The author does give warnings that there are possible triggers in this book, and I suggest you take them seriously. I love psychological thrillers and this one is perfect!

Warning: this is NOT a cozy mystery! This has some dark things happening to the character(s) that might be hard for some to read. This is a very good psychological story that grabs your attention right from the beginning and doesn’t let go to the very end…where it will leave you staring at the end of the story with a “What?!”. Omg!! This book was really really good! I was a bit Leary at the beginning because of the subject but decided to keep going as Elle really caught my emotions I am so glad I did. I literally could not put this book down until the end and what an end!!! I called my sister up after I finished it and told her she needed to put it at the top of her reading list very tastefully done looking forward to reading whatever type of book you write next
Wicked and twisted until the end. Keeps you guessing and wanting to know what happening until the end
This was a really good psychological thriller. The author did a fantastic job on the story and characters. I didn’t want to put this book down. I highly recommend reading this book.

Holy c****! Ditter Kellen has created one of the most complex characters you’ll find in a book. Elenore is beyond damaged. It’s hard to read how awful her life has been and continues to be. Elijah Griffin is the evilest man. I don’t think one could be more evil and loathsome.
Evan Ramirez is a good cop and is finally making progress in solving the case of several missing men. All of whom had been in contact with Elijah recently. It becomes clear way too quickly that there’s more going on and it’s all despicable and horrendous. In addition to wanting to find justice for Elenore, Evan finds himself skirting the edge of the proper protocol because he’s attracted to her and feels the need to take care of her.
As Evan continues to investigate and more and more awful details of Elenore’s past come out the story continues to leave the reader guessing. Guessing right up until the very last pages!
Kellen has created a thriller with plenty of twists and intrigue to ensure the reader is engrossed and flipping the pages.
Elle: A Psychological Thriller was a great read by Ditter Kellen. Elenore has lived on a small farm with her father who makes her days a living hell. Eleanore has een abused by her father and sold to the highest bidders. The people that are responsible for her abuse start going missing. This is a story about how a girl who has been abused and suffered some heinous acts, can learn to survive. This is a book that contains some abuse and abuse triggers. I love reading all of Ditter Kellen’s books and can’t wait to read more by the author.
OH
MY
……..GOD !!!!
A few pages into this book , I was like , ” WHAT have I gotten Urself into ?? !! ”
And then , I kept reading ……
And it was almost like watching a bus or train wreck – I Know it’s gonna be HORRIBLE, but I can’t stop watching !! So I kept reading .
This book is about a small town girl named Elenore. She has no one except her Father . No family , no friends. Her Father is not what you would call nice . He is Very far from ” nice ” . Everyone in town even knows, about the physical abuse . They can guess at what else. But any attempt to help the poor girl was thwarted by the courts, and that was that .
For them. But poor Elenore still stayed.
Evan Ramirez is an investigator who has just been hired from our of town. One of his 1st cases is three missing persons . All men . During his investigation , one name kept coming up……Elijah Griffin. All roads lead to him.
As investigator Ramirez keeps digging , he finds way more then he bargains for .
I found this book totally captivating, and once started , I could hardly put it down !!!
Once again Ditter Kellen has touched my soul……….

One of the best books I have read. This book took a grip on me from the beginning. The authors descriptions were on point, making the reader feel as if they were there, in that scenario, which in some cases was extremely emotional. Fantastic read.

As the description states, this is not a happily ever after type of story. It’s dark, twisted, and pushes the boundaries of morality.
Elle has been through more than any person should ever have to face in her short life. It forces her to find ways to cope with the abuse that she faces.
Overall, the story was filled with tense and suspenseful moments that you expect when reading a Psychological Thriller.
I figured out the person they were searching for pretty quickly. The pieces, for me, fell in line early on in the story. The story, for me, also ended a little abruptly. While it had a slight twist at the end, I feel like there is still more of Elle’s story to be told.
If Psychological Thrillers are your genre of choice, then this story will be a good book to read.
Holy smokes! Didn’t see that coming? Intriguing!
I am Elle is a dark and depressing psychological thriller about Elenore Griffin with lots of twists and turns by Ditter Kellen that you must read as a series to enjoy. I enjoyed reading this book and looking forward to reading Elle Returns for the continuation

Eleanore Griffin has been through more in her short life than anyone should be able to endure. This book was rough to get through but at the same time I could not put it down. Murder and intrigue keeps you guessing and praying for Eleanore to get the justice she deserves keeps you turning the page to see what happens next. Evan was suck an amazing character you could feel his rage for what had happened to Eleanore and his drive to right the injustice. Such an amazing read and now I’m off to devour book two.

I am Elle definitely keep me on edge while reading it. This is a story about a child that grew up with her terribly abusive father. It’s a very dark read with so much physical, mental and sexual abuse I found it very hard to continue reading but also couldn’t stop and I actually didn’t put it down till the end. The writing and details throughout the book held me and kept me searching for answers along with Elle and the detective, grasping, hoping for something good to come out of this hell she had been living. It’s just not the ending I was desperately hoping for. Again this book is very very dark and definitely not for everyone but it is what it is…as the saying goes.
Powerful Storytelling!!!
**Just a quick note before my review…this book contains situations that some people might be offended by or may have a hard time reading. This is not a book for the faint of heart or someone who may have issues abuse triggers. Now onto my review…
Ditter Kellen has done an amazing job writing I Am Elle. I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I am not a big fan of Psychological Thrillers. I knew that there was going to be triggers in the book, but that did not stop me from reading the book. I felt that she approached these triggers in a way that did not make me super uncomfortable. She leads you to the situation without going overboard. Our brains are smart enough to stop the things we could imagine if they become too much. Below is my breakdown of the book without giving away too much.
I Am Elle is truly a unique book for many reasons. The main character Elenore “Elle” Griffin is a young girl who has been brutalized both physical and emotional by her father Elijah Griffin. Her mother disappears out of her life at an early age. She does recall some memories of her mom throughout the book. Elijah at times would sell his poor daughter off to others and let them have their way with her. When people start to go missing in the small-town Detective Evan Ramirez comes help the local police department. Upon meeting Elenore he finds that he has a need to help her and protect her. Detective Ramirez is trying to piece together the whole picture. He is working on the missing person’s cases and trying to help Elenore. He knows that she is in a bad place and that her father may have some involvement with the missing people. I Am Elle takes us for on many twists and turns. I would highly recommend this book to others to read. I really had no idea that is how it would end. I am pretty sure that I had to go back and read it again to be sure of what I had read. I feel the need to end my review with WOW!!!
