Special Agent Luna Roosberg lives and breathes her job. Who needs a personal life when work is so rewarding? When a new case sends her to investigate a local motorcycle club, covering as the president’s new flavor of the week, the lines between professional and personal quickly start to blur. Although the Arrow’s Edge MC stays mostly on the right side of the law since Ouray took the gavel, the … Ouray took the gavel, the appearance of the feds at their gate can still rattle his cage.
When a string of robberies points squarely in Ouray’s direction, he’s forced to cooperate and put the blonde, prim and proper half-pint on the back of his bike.
With pressure mounting both in—and outside—the club, Ouray no longer knows who he can trust, except the woman who is shaking up his life—and stirring his blood.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I was totally engrossed from beginning to end. The storyline was well written and thought out, with strong, intriguing characters whose lives are entwined through earlier circumstances and trauma. There’s humor, suspense, mystery, twists and turns that surprise, plus a love that slowly develops between Luna, the feisty, strong willed FBI agent and Ouray, the Chief of the MC club. This is a must read and highly recommended.

Luna is a fierce FBI Agent with a well-earned chip on her shoulder and the ability to take on men twice her size. Ouray is the Chief of the local MC, The Arrow’s Edge, and the two have verbally sparred in the past. There’s something about the tiny spitfire that Ouray likes, but he’s pretty sure the feeling isn’t mutual. When she’s tasked with going undercover as Ouray’s new old lady, though, those sparks immediately catch fire. What will his club do when they find out he’s brought in a fed to their midst without telling them? And what about when the case is over and she walks away from the feelings that soon develop between the two of them?
I really liked Hwy 550. Luna and Ouray are an intriguing couple, especially considering they’re not in their early 20s (both are in their 40s I believe). Their chemistry is hot and their personalities complement each other perfectly. The suspense and mystery of the case keep the story grounded, and tie everything in without overwhelming the developing relationship. I am definitely looking forward to more of this series, and more from this author in general.
This author really surprises me every time. Her stories in this series just keep getting better and better and I loved the first two books. HWY 500 was a special one to me, because Luna played a part in Burning Autumn. After reading about her there, I was really hoping to read her story.
HWY 500 was also new to me, because I haven’t read many books with an MC playing a big part. I really enjoyed Arrow’s Edge, because in many ways they were bad boys, but they were clean! I thought that was so well written. Ouray was definitely unique in his way of running his club.
Luna is very confident of what she can do as an agent. She’s smart, can defend herself and will take on the biggest man! What I loved the most about her character is that there was a lot more that went on in her past. That made her move every so often and not really be able to settle down. This book really changed her. I loved that her interacting with Ouray really opened her up and kind of made her face her demons. Luna became even stronger.
Ouray seems like a macho man who thinks he’s all that, but he is more caring than he seems. Of course, he needs to seem confident and take control, or he won’t be leading Arrow’s Edge for very long. He’s harsh when he needs to be, but has a heart of gold. Besides being an amazing man, this MC takes in boys who need a home. Add Cody, a deaf boy who has clearly been abused in his short life and your heart will melt. How he took him in and really took his time to see what he needed. My heart melted!
HWY 550 also has some great suspense. A series of robberies starts getting out of control and I loved how Freya Barker wrote this. I really had no clue who was behind it and how it played out was really nice! The perfect balance of mystery and romance.
Ouray and Luna’s relationship is one of my favorites. Pretending to be together quickly adds some real feelings that definitely complicated things. Even that made it a bit slow burn and I was just waiting for them to be happy. Both characters deserved the happiness.
If you’re looking for a book with great humor, romance, suspense and characters, definitely give this series a go! And if you’ve read previous books, you’ll see some other characters you’ve grown to love!
Luna kicks butt and takes names, she doesn’t play. For being a tough female she has a soft spot.
I haven’t read the other two books in the series, you don’t really need to. Once I read about Luna and Ouray, I really want to. You see characters from those books in their story.
I do have to say, besides an MC romance, there was some mystery. I thought I knew who was blackmailing Ouray, then boom my pick went out the window.
What I loved is that Ouray was patient with Luna, with her personal background, he waited.
If you’ve read the other two books in this series, you’ll want to read this book as well.
Well written, interesting, a rollercoaster of emotion. The storyline and characters were well thought out and unfolded wonderfully. I received it from booksprout and voluntarily left my review.
There are so many characters to love in this book and the main 2 Luna and Ouray are no exception, Luna is tough as nails and a workaholic that likes to keep moving around where as Ouray is a gruff MC leader who is also all about family. I love the mix of fun, mystery, twists, steamyness and falling in love contained in this books so you get the whole experience, I can not wait for the next book in the series!!

This was a fantastic book. Always a treat to read a new author that can write books that keep you entertained. Characters are well developed and engaging with lots of twists and turns plus hot and steamy chemistry between the biker boss and the sassy FBI agent.

WOW! What an incredible story! It’s a roller coaster ride and adventure! I love the characters and the story-line. The story is well written and completely captivated my attention. I love Luna and Mark (aka Ouray)!! She in the FBI and he is chief of the Arrows Edge MC. I love some of the dialogue and banter in this story! Both of these two characters are very strong. This is a page turner with some suspense and amazing twists!
I’m usually not much for MCs, but I’m really liking this series. I like how the MC mentors and takes care of boys who are in trouble. I liked reading that ASL was central in the book and that many of the characters knew it. Luna was a workaholic but did her job well. She met her match in Ouray, who helped her live a little, and together they not only defeated their demons but found the missing pieces to their puzzles.
The third book in the Rock Point series a well-written story that I enjoyed reading. I have been waiting for this book to be out and it was just a good as the first two. I hope there is going to be more to come. This is Special Agent Luna Roosberg, and Mark/Ouray Strongbow, and twelve year old Cody/ Ahiga. This story has suspense, drama, danger, a young man trying to find a place to fit in and the two people he trusts and love, there are villains and romance. These books just get better. I recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I know it won’t be the last. I was hooked from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. Although book three in the series, it is a standalone story. I was able to easily understand the storyline without having read the first two books. However, I will be going back and reading both of them at some point.
I enjoyed both main characters, Luna and Ouray, as well as a lot of the secondary characters. The chemistry between Luna and Ouray was off the charts. I also loved their connection to and developing relationship with Cody. It was heartwarming to see the three interact with each other. Along with the growing attraction between Luna and Ouray, there was also some fun moments, suspense, and twists and turns. I would definitely recommend reading this one.

Every book is better than the last in this series! So many emotions and feelings. I loved every second of this book. Luna is such a kickbutt take no crap kind if woman you can’t help but fall in love with her. She is a feisty FBI agent that is put undercover with the local MC club and here we are introduced to Ouray. He is definitely a man you can get behind and as President of the club he holds your attention as an alpha. Luna and Ouray are thrown together for the case but feelings are definitely rampant between the two and real feelings definitely develop. In the middle of this we find ourselves falling in love with a scrappy 12 year old age club has rescued. Ahiga as he is called by the club is dead and has seen his own share of nightmares some that he and Luna bond over. This book has a little bit of everything and definitely kept me guessing til the reveal who was the mastermind behind the case Luna is working on. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat and the romance will make you swoon. This book was amazing and I can’t wait to read what is next.

This series just keeps getting better! Luna and Ouray are awesome together. Who knew a MC president and an FBI agent would work so well!! Love the chemistry and Ouray is so swoon worthy! His protective instinct has him in knots for more than just Luna and her job. They become mentors for a tween boy that needs them more than anything. Hoping this is not the last book in this wonderful series.
This book was intensely wonderful. It was a heartwarming story of love, romance and intrigue. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
I’ve read every book Freya Barker has written but this book…………..this book is, by far, my favorite. Loved the characters, loved the story line, just loved loved loved the book. I’ve been waiting for Luna’s story since we met her in previous books and with each time she appeared in those books, my love for her character grew and my patience diminished. But finally, I now know her story and couldn’t be happier with her HEA.
Once again Freya gives us a female main character who isn’t perfect. Luna could be our college roommate, our next door neighbor, our gal pal. She’s not 21, perky, blonde, a size 2 but boy oh boy, is she quite a woman!
Grab this book and get to know Luna, then grab all Freya’s other books and get to know her not-so-perfect heroines! You won’t regret it.
Y’all I have been DYING for Luna’s story ever since I finished Cabin 12 (Book 2 in this incredible series). And HWY 550 did NOT disappoint. This story literally has everything you could ever want – suspense, bikers, good guys, bad guys disguised as good guys and HEAT. SO MUCH HEAT!
Story Line: So, we met Luna in the previous Rock Point book as the gorgeous special agent. We caught enough of a glimpse of her in Cabin 12 that I knew I would be chomping at the bit until I got my hands on her story. She’s spunky, tough as nails, but also has the sweetest side to her. I love that contrast so much. Then there’s Ouray. He’s an MC president whose path crosses Luna’s when an investigation needs some slick undercover help. Insert Luna AND Ouray. You can make your assumptions about what they need to do, but what I didn’t see coming was how much FIRE burns between these two. I mean, their chemistry is off the charts hot. Now, before I go into too much detail about that, I will tell you a few more details about the story line. You will fall head over heals for this motorcycle club. Not everyone, if you know what I mean, but the majority of these guys are big ol’ teddy bears and I love it. Plus there’s Momma and Cody… and yes, my heart wants to explode.
Interaction: Ouray is pure alpha. I mean, he’s an MC president for crying out loud. So I was super skeptical about how well he would click with Luna. Especially considering how “will take charge” her attitude is. But holy moly, they clicked into place like two long lost puzzle pieces. Ouray allows Luna to be her independent self, yet still has his hand on her shoulder in case she would ever need him. There’s a scene where they are sparing to teach moves and what not, and it ended up being one of my favorite scenes of Freya’s. There’s a blind fold, and things whispered in her ear… yeah. It was hot and totally wicked.
Laundry: I never know what to expect with Freya’s books when it comes to laundry. That’s not a bad thing, so don’t go saying I’m talking ill of our queen. I’m just saying sometimes her books have some sinful laundry in them. And sometimes they have a deliciously slow burn. What category did HWY 550 fall into? Well it’s not a slow burn, that’s for darn sure. And Luna and Ouray don’t hold back, at all. This book may just be the book to finally cut the cord and let the hubs get a motorcycle. Because these two just solidified that biker laundry is a class all of its own.
Depth: These Rock Point books do not disappoint when it comes to depth. There is so much more to their story lines than two people falling hard for each other. Luna and Ouray are up to their eyeballs in this investigation and undercover business. There’s two characters in particular that throw a MASSIVE wrench in the story that I swear to God, I never saw coming. No joke, I stopped reading and silently applauded Freya for throwing me so far off the scent with this one. And the epilogue? It could not be more perfect. It was the perfect ending to the perfect book. And I would by lying if I said I didn’t shed a few tears for this amazing happily ever after.
I am loving this series. The characters are well written and likeable and the storylines gripping. The relationship between Ouray and Luna has a rocky start, the pull is there but Luna particularly fights the attraction. Having to spend time with him for work soon blows her defences apart and the line between work and real life blurs. A fab read and an excellent series
This is a fantastic read. There’s a good mix of romance with suspense in the FBI meets MC book along with an adorable deaf kid. Luna is an FBI agent, who lives and breaths her job, romance is just not on the cards, that is until Ouray, the president of an MC comes along. Thrown together when Luna goes undercover as his women, to try and solve a case, there’s a lot of heat and chemistry right from the start. Then you throw in a 12 year old run away deaf boy, who is “rescued” by the MC and you have a complete recipe for a lot of action, along with a good dose of old fashioned romance. My only gripe is I would have liked a bit more detail on the suspense side of this story as this seemed to fall a bit flat at the end.
Luna is an FBI agent working in a rural area of Colorado. A transplant from the Netherlands, she went to college nearby using funds left to her after the death of her mother.
Her team has been tracking a series of robberies of pot dispensaries. Thefts have started to take on a bloodier edge in recent weeks, and the general pattern is headed towards towns near their office.
At one location nearby, the young woman was badly injured and a manager who intervened on her behalf was mortally wounded.
Oddly, a gun was dropped at one of the recent locations – very sloppy – a registered one.
The gun leads to an encounter with an MC club Pres, Ouray, she has met before – and his eventual cooperation puts the two in close quarters. Clues lean towards someone within his club working to frame him, and to hurt the agent.
Tangling reality and fiction with their painful pasts makes for a complicated series of efforts for resolution – including a bloody kidnapping, and disappearance of low level club related folks.
Trust is the way to pain and the way to resolution in this case.
An exciting case with steamy romance and in depth exploration of sex abuse and foster systems – somehow done in an edge of your seat way.
waiting for the next read from this author – loved this one – a reading just a few more pages, until you read the whole thing all in one night kind of read.
