A second chance with “the one”
So my love affair with the Doyle brothers from Boston Southie is still on-going and even getting stronger with Hustle. This is the story of Seamus Doyle. He is the Harvard educated lawyer who works his magic for the family and ensures that they stay “clean”, or as clean as they can with plausible deniability. He is also very anal retentive, precise and does not appear to do relationships. That is until he sees Evi again. She was his childhood best friend from the neighborhood since they were both eight years old.
Evi grew up in a broken home with a father that was always on the wrong side of the law and would end up in and out of jail/prison. Because of that she was also taken in by the Doyle family at time and Seamus always protected her. When they were teens there was something there but Seamus was not able to tell her his true feelings and they ended up parting ways. She went on to become a tattoo artist and finally owning her own shop.
Now they cross paths again because another mob family, the Stacy’s, need the building her shop is in, along with the entire block, for a high priced condo development. She turns to Seamus who is willing to help save her shop and the block from not only the Stacy’s but also the crooked mayor and his punk son. While they are working together their attraction and feelings are reignited for each other. But they are still opposites in so many ways yet they fit together so perfectly. Maybe this time Seamus can get out of his head enough so his words will match what his heart feels for Evi.
As with the two previous books in The Doyles series Hustle is another wonderfully written and smart story. The characters are just fantastic and there are more than enough super sexy scenes in addition to the drama, intrigue, excitement and romance. But then again can you ever have enough super sexy steamy scenes when you have a hottie like Seamus???
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
An interesting and passionate second chance romance in the “The Doyles” series! The story-line is well written, relatable, emotionally deep, funny, and enjoyable. A fast pace page turner with drama, intrigue, ups and downs, and more! The characters are well developed and likeable. A really good read; strongly recommended!

ONE MAGNIFICENT ADVENTURE!!!
Amping up the stakes! Sophie imparts one eclectic mix with all the style, jazz and passion revving it up and laying it out in all its glory. Lord help us all. Non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, fast paced, nailbiting, pulse racing, heart pounding, page flipping bombshell that’s as riveting as it is captivating. Add turmoil and distress, you have the recipe for one thrilling disaster, propelling this jewel into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, blasting this baby into a tailspin with phenomenal results. Pushing on-ward through the trials and tribulations along with a slew of twists and turns that thrusts this bad boy to life beautifully. The chemistry is intense, white hot and explosive. The characters are authentic, impressive and realistic with such depth and qualities its easy to relate. The scenes are so graphically detailed it really seals this little treasure together beautifully. Magnificent job Sophie, thanks for sharing this sweet treat with us.
This is the third book in this wonderful series and like its predecessors it draws you in from almost the first page’
Seamus and Evi have been friends since they where six years old. Evi came from a home that was bad to say the least she never knew her father and her mother was a drunk but the Doyle family treated her as one of their own Her only escape was her art. Seamus grew up and went to Harvard he wants to move the families business more legitimate Evi went on to own her own tattoo shop. Now another mafia family wants the strip where her shop is situated and they will do whatever they need to get her out. Knowing she needs help she turns to Seamus. As they spend more time together to keep her shop safe the sizzling emotion between them explodes and they realise they are meant to be together. As danger stalks the woman he loves will Seamus stay on the straight and narrow path or will he revert to the Doyle that he is. You will have to read to see
Can’t wait to read more about this family. Loved Evi and Seamus’s story. Good read and romance. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

I love this series! This is Seamus’s story. He is the Harvard graduated lawyer who though he appears all upscale and main stream, still helps the family when needed. Evi was his best friend growing up and he tried everything he couls to get her out of Southie and to what he thought was a better life. Evi has done alright for herself and has a successful tattoo shop and shows her art on occasion. She is used to taking care of herself, but when she is being forced out of her block with the other businesses she realizes that she needs the Doyles, Seamus in particular. There was always a spark there, and now years later Seamus is finding it impossible to ignore her or their chemistry. Love the drama, intrigue, and passion…just love their story!
OMG, this is fantastic, it’s book 3 in this Irish mafia series and it’s the turn of the enigmatic family lawyer Seamus Doyle.
When a rival mob try to muscle in on Evi’s tattoo shop, they messed with the wrong woman, Seamus’s woman or that’s what he’s hoping for.
Action packed, thrilling read, couldn’t put this one down and I can’t wait for the next one.
I received a copy from Bad Boy Update and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
This author’s format is pretty much the same so far in the “Doyles” romance stories. Lots of angst between the two main characters and about mid-way through the story they finally get a bit physical, which is nice as we get to know a bit about the characters before we get between the sheets.
The story between Evi and Seamus is a bit faster paced than the last one I read. While there is angst thankfully it’s not too much that it takes away from the story. Evi is a strong, independent woman capable of taking care of herself but she’s not so headstrong that she is able to ask for help with things that are a bit out of her ballpark.
Seamus seems to be at war with himself at times with his own mental picture and the reality of who he is. All he knows is he wants Evi to be his and damn the consequences.
Evi and Seamus have a lot of chemistry and their journey through all of the misinterpreted baggage of the past is blessedly quick as they get their HEA. Some of the other “Doyle” stories drug on too much this one was quick and to the point, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 3.

Well it’s kind of an almost enemies to lovers story as well. Seamus and Evi have a history of friendship that could have easily turned into more than friends except both held back for their own reasons. Now, she needs his help and both are fighting the obvious chemistry they have. He is so controlled and uptight with the weight of the world on his shoulders. She is a strong, stubborn, extremely independent woman full of sass and, as Seamus sees it, a wild nature. Their story has all the drama you expect from this series, some humor, steamy hot tension and a bit of a slow burn with a fantastic HEA.

3 ½ Stars! Book three in The Doyles, a Boston Irish mafia Romance series. Novella length can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone with HEA. Each book about a different Doyle brother with their big Irish family as secondary characters. Seamus and Evelyn have been friends sense childhood. At 18 they had different plans for their future and went in separate directions. Now 10 years later they still at odds but have grown up enough to realize a relationship can work between two people who aren’t the same. I would recommend it, It is a good quick read with a little steam!
This is book three in The Doyles: A Boston Irish Mafia Romance series. I have read the first two books and loved getting to know each of the brothers, this is Seamus’s story. Seamus is a straight laced lawyer for his mafia family but he has his eye on Evi. Evi owns her tattoo shop and is a strong, independent woman which is what draws Seamus in and attracts him. But a rival family is after Evi’s shop and Seamus cannot let her lose it. With all the angst between these two it makes for an interesting read but with all the attraction, can these two both settle with losing their hearts? As always, I cannot wait to read more of this series and learn more about these brothers and their strong family bonds to each other. Enjoy!

A great book with an entertaining storyline. Love the chemistry between Seamus and Evi. Will definitely read the next book in this series.

Seamus and Evi are quite the characters. Evi is a stubborn and strong headed woman. She doesn’t want any help from anyone. Seamus just wants to help. So they butt heads. This was an interesting read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It was not a stereotypical Mafia romance, but kind of sweet.

The well written storyline and well developed characters captured my attention from the very beginning and the interaction between Shamus and Evi kept me turning the pages until the very end!
Seamus was the rational one of the Doyle clan. A prominent attorney specializing in legitimizing his family’s businesses as well as keeping them out of trouble. With his father slowing down due to his terminal illness, Seamus was taking on more responsibility than he could handle. When he found out that the love of his life was being threatened by an opposing rival faction, Evi became one more obligation for Seamus to take on.
Evi however, refused to be anyone’s obligation. She refused his help years before when he left her for college, and she refused his help in the present.
I really like Evi who was strong, independent, and spunky. Confident enough to know what she wanted, vulnerable enough to open herself up to Seamus after all the years without him.
Seamus was a little more rigid with his emotions, denying his deep feelings for Evi almost to the end. I liked the way his dad talked some sense into his thick skull, and the way Evi learned to rely and trust him again.
Not a graphic or bloody mafia romance filled with violence, but a sweet romantic story with a mafia edge to it.
