This is the third book that I have read by Cheryl Bradshaw, the others are Stranger In Town and Murder in Mind. They were all very well written keeping the reader on the edge. A lady that knows how to peak a readers interest and keep it until the very end.
Except for a few misused words, e.g. “mortified” and “mother’s”, this book was engaging with well-developed characters and an intriguing plot.
Great characters!
I had a difficult time getting into this book at first. I did ultimately enjoy it. It has some shock value and several surprises.
Main character is a strong woman, yet vulnerable with ptsd like issues.
Bradshaw is a gifted writer whose books involve some sympathetic characters as well as ones we’d rather not meet in real life. But they always leave me wondering how she makes a living as a PI when she never undertakes paying gigs.
Not one of my favorites
This was a decent book. I didn’t love it. It was fairly predictable and the characters weren’t very likable but an easy read.
Good read, kept me interested and turning pages. not a blockbuster but very entertaining, an easy read.
Enjoyed this one. Was to short, I could have kept on reading it.
Reasonably good plot and story line well written but not a page turner due to predictability.
I enjoy the Sloane Monroe series. However her personality needs growth now. her brokenness gets in the way of the storyline. There are time I just want to say to her, “it’s time to move forward now”. Although the books in the series can be read as stand alone, you really need to know Sloan’s back story to really understand her and appreciate the …
This book was a good book. It was easy to read and follow. This was the first book I have read by Cheryl Bradshaw. I really like Sloane Monroe. I am looking forward to reading my next Sloan Monroe mystery.
It was a little disjointed for me. Seemed to take a while before anyone actually started really investigating and I didn’t feel characters were really passionate about looking for the baby. Then I could never connect with Sloane because she really didn’t seem believable. It was a good story though and a surprising end.
A love story rather than police investigation!
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to more from this author. Thanks for suggesting it to me.
I very much enjoy this series
I like sloan
Good clean mystery/crime drama.
I’m becoming a big fan of all Cheryl Bradshaw’s . I haven’t read one yet that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy.
