For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure who to trust. Patch seems … seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

The is honestly one of the best book series I have ever read. It keeps you wanting to read more and more. You get sucked into it and you just can’t stop yourself on finding out what happens next.
I found this book to be incredibly intriguing from page one. It was fast paced and adventurous with some mystery/thriller aspects as well. All of that in addition to the paranormal and romance themes throughout. Throughout the book I found myself going back and forth with who I thought was the bad guy, I wasn’t even sure until the very end! And …
An all time favorite series. Can’t wait for the movie!
This was an amazing book. It was so good I’ve read the series 3 times. It kept me up all night, and every page had me wanting more. I love this book, and I strongly recommend it to people who love a good story about teens falling in love with mythical creatures.
“I loved that the setting was in Maine since … HELLO I’m from Maine!! … I love when I can get another view on that area I never would have thought of. *sigh … memories*
The only problem I had with the novel was Nora’s best friend Vee … she was just way to goddamn pushy. I just wanted to smack her … especially 20% of Nora’s problems were …
When I was young (around 12) my first fantasy book was this beauty. Still I can remember how I felt when I read it. It was an amazing journey with a lot of exciting parts. I loved Path character (he is THE GUY, isn’t he?) was unique. His humour, appearance stole my heart.
Becca made a history for me because when I read it, I just want more and …
This is one of my absolute favorite books and series. I absolutely love it. Definitely recommend.
This was OK. The plot was fairly entertaining and characters mostly well-developed. I just really don’t get all the love for this series. Patch and Nora just didn’t give me epic feels.
THERE’S A MOVIE BEING PRODUCED ABOUT THIS BOOK!! AHHHH
I loved this book, I was pretty hesitant to read it at first but it turned out to be the perfect book!!
This is seriously one of the best books/series I’ve ever read and would highly recommend to anyone.
Super disappointing when I foolishly already bought the whole series, IN HARDBACK BECAUSE IT WAS SO HYPED UP!!!!! smh tbh
WOW… I absolutely could not put this book down. I loved the characters, particularly Vee (I pictured her like a younger version of the kookie girl in Criminal Minds).
I thought the story flowed particularly well and the pace was spot on… I found myself desperate to know who the bad guy was (although I did have my own theory, which proved …
This an amazing book, and when I first read it I couldn’t put it down! I fell in love with the characters, such a captivating story and lots of unexpected twists and turns that made this book unpredictable. If you like action packed and forbidden romance this is the book for you!
Nora was a great teen character who had her entire life and belief system shaken to the core. As she learned more about her father and ethereal creatures, Nora became less the normal teen and more distanced and separated from her peers. She becomes the teenager that parents hope their kids don’t become – disobedient, sneaky, and tellers of lies. …
This book is such an amazing fantasy novel. And no doubt u will definitely fall for Patch. It’s a must read.
really good. Read its sequels too!
As I read this book, during breaks I stopped to read reviews coming to the conclusion that there isn’t really a happy medium among other readers…it’s been either loved or hated. Personally, I enjoyed this read – I would’ve snatched this up if it was in my library back in my school days. I was pulled in with the mysterious plot surrounding …
I honestly loved the story
Finished the book in one day and started the second one
I like the personalities and attitudes of the characters loved every single one until they turn up to be the “bad boy”
I never expected the end
Recommend 10/10
