It was such a shame that she was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. She knew that we would come for her.We had seen her delicate face that night, hidden in the shadows, and she had seen what we did, her gasp of horror giving her away. She was perfection, beauty, and oozed goodness but that wasn’t going to save her from us. No one could ever find out our secret, which meant we needed to get … secret, which meant we needed to get rid of her.
But killing her wasn’t an option and scaring her into silence wasn’t as easy of a feat as we expected. She was strong, resilient , and smart doing whatever she could to evade us.
Thus without even knowing it she turned it into a game, and so we became blood thirty wolves.
Run and we’ll find you. Keep our secret and you might live.
That is until someone else finds out what we did…

I loved this book so much Stella, Easton, and Cam were amazing I loved every moment of it. I couldn’t put it down great job with the book
With Hurting You, JL Beck and Cassandra Hallman have yet another hit on their hands. The third installment in the Blackthorn Elite series features Cameron and Easton and their relationship with Stella, a girl who is most absolutely in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Cam and Easton are brothers in every sense of the word, their blood the only thing keeping it unofficial. Cam is the easy going, smooth talking sweetheart while Easton is the brooding, dark bad boy. And when I say bad, I mean dangerous.
Stella unknowingly catches them in an act she shouldn’t have one night and now, she’s in their radar. But no sooner does that happen that she becomes theirs. Theirs to use, theirs to play with, theirs to control. But it doesn’t take long for feelings to evolve, but not everyone is ready to admit it.
Hurting You has plenty of angst, drama, and high emotions. It features two very alpha, very dirty men who are unapologetic about who they are, and the blonde haired angel who becomes their queen.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Well here I go again… I sometimes think I just need to copy and paste a past review of these two authors. How many times, in how many ways, can I say that these two write tremendously good dark romance? It can’t be easy to write. They have to be able to lead the reader into a dark place but make sure that said reader doesn’t come to hate the Heroes before they are fully revealed. POVs play a big part in this, and I’m glad these two authors make use of them.
This book grabbed me, held me close and wouldn’t let go until I finished it. I’d like to say it’s my favorite in this stand alone series, but they’ve all been equally good. This one though, it was the first MFM bully romance they’ve written, and my oh my it is written well indeed.
Stella, a little on the adventurous side herself, but quiet and slightly withdrawn, meets two incredibly alpha men named Cameron and Easton. She accidentally witnesses something that she shouldn’t have and now she’s trapped in their controlling hands, literally. It’s such a delicious read.
I love the books these two write. I’m never disappointed. If you like dark romances, including bully romances, this is one for you. I loved it. Highly recommended.
What an incredibly sexy and deeply emotional ride! I had an inkling of what I might expect with this story, but what I found within these magical pages left me completely and utterly enthralled. It was so much more powerful and deep than I ever expected. This story doubled the intensity and darkness that we have seen in previous books. It left me with shivers and gooseflesh as I watched the fateful events that unfolded before my eyes. What an beautifully intense experience that I never wanted to end!
What is left to expect or work towards whenever you find yourself at the bottom of every possible list in the world? You look up and keep fighting. That’s the only answer that Stella can find. She refuses to stop clawing her way up from the ashes of her past and present. Cam and Easton know where they are heading. Their future is pretty much set in place from here til eternity. They try to spice up their otherwise boring life with girls and power, but one day and one person changes everything. Fate throws these three people together and what you get are dangerous fireworks and and an unending fire that can’t be quenched or tamed. Can their darkness save Stalla, or will she find herself in worse shape after Cam and Easton are done with her?
Just like the previous books in this series, I was caught off guard by the power of these wonderful characters. They are more then just people. They are forces of nature that left unattended threaten to destroy, but together they bring about wonder and peace. I couldn’t get over how much I felt and experienced walking this journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. it is a precious gift that I do not take lightly. In fact, I see it as a huge compliment to an author who can turn my world upside down as thoroughly as Beck and Hallman can.
Nothing is as satisfying as reading a book by Beck and Hallman, and this series has left me spellbound and excited for so much more! This writing duo have more creativity and tenacity then some authors I have found, and I cherish that drive and heart like nothing else. This series has turned into so much more then I ever imagined, and this book feels like the heart and soul of this series. Do not miss out on this wonderful work of art and heart!
“He’s chocolate dipped in poison. Tempting to the eye, but if you take a bite, out just might kill you.”
~Stella about Cameron~
So these guys were hard to like at times. Mostly Easton. He’s a bit of a d***. Cameron has his moments and there’s something dark in him, but he’s not on Easton’s level of jacked in the head. It’s like the Gemini. They mirror each other in a way. Where Cam can be soft, Easton has none in him. Don’t trip on Cam though cause like I said he has his moments. He’s not ALL soft. And we find out Easton does have a heart.
Stella is an innocent. Mostly. Girl has some of the darkside in her, but chick is innocent. I love Stella tbh. She’s one of my favorite to date. You may think she’s a bit weak for putting up with Easton and Cam’s crap, but girl is stronger than you think at first. Girl is a fighter and has an idea of right and wrong. Which is why being with both of them is SO hard for her.
Usually you say this couple is perfect for each other, but you take one away and you have nothing. They are who they are and make no bones about it, and Stella couldn’t chose one. She wouldn’t even have tried. It’s not who SHE is. These three are the perfect messed up round of the others and it plays like that. It’s pretty amazing actually. This is my favorite book in the series to date no doubt.
My only warning is, it is a little, little on the dark side of the spectrum so be prepared for that. Otherwise have fun.
