A Thriller Award nominee for Best eBook Original Novel… Book 1 in award-winning author Alexandra Sokoloff’s riveting new Huntress FBI series about a driven FBI agent on the hunt for that most rare of all killers: a female serial. FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke is closing in on a bust of a major criminal organization in San Francisco when he witnesses an undercover member of his team killed … killed right in front of him on a busy street, an accident Roarke can’t believe is coincidental. His suspicions put him on the trail of a mysterious young woman who appears to have been present at each scene of a years-long string of “accidents” and murders, and who may well be that most rare of killers: a female serial.
Roarke’s hunt for her takes him across three states…while in a small coastal town, a young father and his five-year old son, both wounded from a recent divorce, encounter a lost and compelling young woman on the beach and strike up an unlikely friendship without realizing how deadly she may be.
As Roarke uncovers the shocking truth of her background, he realizes she is on a mission of her own, and must race to capture her before more blood is shed.
This is a new release of a previously published edition.

I’ve read all the books by Sokoloff in this series. I watch for new books in the series. Recommend you read the books in order.
I loved the characters in this book!
This was a good, well plotted, thriller. It’s not really a mystery, because we find out early who the killer is, but the tension comes from seeing how things will unfold and whether she can be caught. “She” is killing a variety of men, in a variety of cities, and Roarke is the FBI agent who first discovers that it’s the work of a serial killer. …
Ultimately, I enjoyed it. However, the first half is a bit slow. After that, it picked up and I really enjoyed it. I just started the second book and it is good so far
A really good FBI procedural full of surprises and twists. There was never a dull moment or a question of how the story got from A to B. Great plot and characters. I’m looking forward to the next ‘installment’
The first of the Huntress Moon/FBI Thriller series. This book introduces you to FBI Agent Matthew Roarke and his team as they investigate and track a mysterious woman tied to a string of mysterious murders.
Vigilante, serial-killer or something more? (This does end on a cliffhanger and you will want the next book right away!)

I just re-read this book (which is really unusual for me) and loved both the original premise of the story and the terrific characters.
Cara (a damaged vigilante killer) and Roarke (the FBI agent tasked with finding her) have a push/pull chemistry that is as compelling as the race to stop the killer(s). The support characters – other agents who …
This was a good read. Not a great read, but a good one. It was the first book I’d read by this author, but it won’t be the last.
1. plot was a good one. It wasn’t so memorable that it’s one I’ll talk about forever, like “The Usual Suspects,” but it was a well-done plot with no obvious holes.
2. character development was both excellent and …
The Moon books by Alexandra Sokaloff are by far one of the most realistic events taking place in the U.S. She has captured the women’s spirit which is violated on some many levels. These books are a must read!!
