From USA Today bestselling author Katie Reus comes the next story in the explosive Redemption Harbor series where sparks fly and so do bullets… Gage, the computer genius she’s falling for—is out of the question. She used to work for the CIA and she’s trained—she can handle this. Besides, the whole team is working on their own important jobs. She’s not going to drag anyone away when she’s not sure it’s necessary.
Is the one he can’t have…
When Nova asks for time off out of the blue—and use of the company jet—former Marine Gage takes note. Of course, he notices everything about Nova. But as one of her bosses, his growing attraction to her is a line he won’t cross. However, that doesn’t mean he’ll let her run straight into danger—and a quick hack of her computer proves she’s gotten in over her head. Gage is coming along for the ride, whether the sassy assistant likes it or not. He’ll do whatever’s necessary to save her friend…and keep Nova out of the clutches of a lethal enemy who won’t hesitate to kill anyone who gets in their way.

Excellent!
Not my type of book, beautiful women and good looking guy have the hots for each other.
Good read with an entertaining action storyline. Plenty of intrigue to keep one’s interest
Katie Reus’s talent to weave tension and suspense with romance and desire shine in Hunting Danger. Nova is the strong heroine we all want to be, and Gage is the perfect man to fight by her side and not put her in his shadow. The entire Redemption Harbor Series is excellent, and I highly recommend adding any of Katie Reus’s books to your reading list!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. There is suspense and mystery throughout. Right from the beginning the action kept me glued to my e-reader. I adored this journey of Nova’s and Gage’s HEA. Nova hears from her best friend and rushes to Montana to save her. Gage has some deep-seated feels for Nova and goes with her. Their journey is full of eventful adventures.
I loved the multiple POV format here. It really allows me to fully understand the characters so much better. If you love suspenseful romance, then this one is for you.
This is a perfect read for all romantic suspense lovers. It is the fifth book in her Redemption Harbor series, It is very enjoyable, well written and developed. The characters are complex, the plot is strong and twists and turns unpredictable.
Finally Nova and Gage! I’ve been wanting to read a book about them since from the beginning and whe they first met. Their rising tension, connection, attraction, banter, sarcasm were everything. This book did not disappoint. There were twists and turns that I haven’t seen coming. I just love when the book makes you to keep guessing what will happen. It is yet another outstanding addition to this amazing series.
This book is filled with plenty of action, drama, suspense and steamy chemistry. Nova and Gage have had a thing for each other since the first phone call when Gage was rude and Nova hang up on him and told him not to call until he finds some manners. He was attracted to her voice but when they met in person: oh boy, the sparks were flying! This is also a little forbidden romance. So, they were dancing around each other pretending not to care and ignoring their growing attraction. They are so sarcastic and sassy. I love Nova’s attitude and the way she can keep up with Gage or call him on his bullshit or when he is wrong. In this book they had to work together: Gage is coming uninvited to help Nova and her friend. I love them working together and how much they grew even closer during those times. The faith they have in each other is beautiful. They are really amazing together and meant to be. I loved the final chapter – epilogue. Wish it was longer (lol) because I just love them and never wanted the book to end.
This is a perfect read for all romantic suspense lovers. Such an entertaining, thrilling ride filled with tension and action. The brotherhood and the close relationship each of the team member have with each other (and also Skye and Alex’s weird but adorable friendship) is the heart of the series and that’s why I love it so much. Loved it and enjoyed it from start to finish. Leighton, hurry up, please! I need his book now! Recommend it.
Finally Gage and Nova!! This book did not disapoint. I loved everything about their relationships and the battles they faced.
This is the next book in the Redemption Harbor series and I have to admit that this was kind of lacking in intensity for me. Gage’s reason for not getting with Nova was lackluster and to me, was not a reason at all not to be with her. Filled with past characters, action and Gage finally realizing that he needed to get his head together and stop playing with Nova’s emotions, led this to an HEA for Nova and Gage. 3.5 stars***
Nova is an intensely loyal friend, so when she gets a distress code from her best friend, she knows she has to go investigate and rescue her. Unfortunately (or rather, fortunately), her boss of sorts, Gage, invites himself along for the ride. Gage, the man she’s been crushing on and the man who refuses to make a move on her regardless of their mutual attraction. When her simple rescue mission goes awry, thank God for Gage, though, because between him and Nova’s skills, the two make for a lethally smart team. Now if only Gage would allow himself to make them teammates of a different sort.
Although I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, I have read other stories of Katie Reus’, so I already knew before I read that I was in for a treat reading Nova and Gage’s journey. Hunting Danger is a hot, suspenseful roller coaster of a ride. It’s action packed, and the chemistry Nova and Gage share is electric. Can’t wait to read more not just in this series, but more of Katie’s other stuff.
4.5 awesome stars for action, adventure, and a great love story!
HUNTING DANGER is the 5th book in the Redemption Harbor series and I believe that it has become one of my favorites thanks to Nova and Gage. Both of these characters are awesome separately, but together, they are freaking amazing!
Nova appears to be very down to earth and understanding of what is impactful to her. But she also has a vulnerable side and is leery of asking for help. Given her past, both personally and who she worked for, it is understanding why. But she will need to open up to Gage and the rest of the team before she can move forward with her life.
Gage has hidden parts to himself that he doesn’t appear to share with everyone. Like Nova, he appears to keep things hidden from others. But unlike Nova, he really hasn’t done a good job of hiding his feelings about her from anyone but Nova. When these two finally give in they are explosive together and as a team they are beyond compare when it comes to working in tandem.
Overall, I think the storyline was very interesting and the action in the book was on point. The danger through the book only appears to draw the characters together more and that only enhances the enjoyment of the story. Katie Reus has again created characters and situations that drew me in and pulled me along for an awesome and thoroughly enjoyable ride. Two definite thumbs up for me!
Hunting Danger is the 5th book in the Redemption Harbor series and is about Nova and Gage’s love story.
Nova gets a weird /secret emergency SOS message from her former foster sister and BFF. Nova takes off to go to Layla, Gage knows immediately something is off with Nova. Being the awesome hacker that he is, he is able to gind out what’s going on and immediately go straight into sticking his nose right into her rescue mission to keep both women safe from harm. Gage and Nova have had this red-hot attraction for one another that goes back some time and it takes an event that Nova gets involved in that proves to be the force that brings things between them to a head and causes the passion to flare, and erupt. Also, in this story, most of the Redemption Harbor group and some of their contacts in other agencies are brought together to help Gage and Nova. Multiple points of view give us insight to the antagonist and protagonists. I loved the steamy heat that spreads out through the pages and I adored this suspenseful friends-to-lovers read. it started out really strong with surprises I didnt expect to see then it just moved at a fast pace toward the last half of story. I enjoyed this story and i cant wait to read more books in the Redemption Harbor series.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
I enjoyed Nova and Gage’s love story, especially the epilogue. Hunting Danger was action-packed and had the perfect mix of suspense and romance. I look forward to the next book in the Redemption Harbor series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley.
Nova Blaire, former CIA is office staff of Redemption Harbor Consulting. She suddenly takes personal time off to rescue her best friend Layla Ferrer, a high school math teacher in Montana. She’s has to find out what’s seriously wrong as Layla sent her a childhood code telling her she was in trouble. Gage Yates, hacker extraordinaire for Redemption Harbor is having none of Nova taking off on her own without back-up for unknown personal reasons. He starts digging after Brooks’ tells him Layla is taking off in Brooks’ jet. Layla is engaged to Brody Kingston, rich “businessman” who is getting more and more controlling. Unbeknownst to Brody she witnessed him killing a DEA agent. Nova is the only one who can help her escape so she sends Nova the code. Gage has been trying desperately to keep his hands and eyes off Nova since she’s off limits as a co-worker. But Redemption Harbor agents always have backup and he’s protective of her. Thus we are on a wild rescue mission to Montana starting with a plane crash in rural Montana. So many secrets get uncovered and action is in abundance in this story. As always Katie can spin a romantic suspense love story like few can do and I do love guardian protector stories. Thank you Katie for the ARC of this story for me to review for you.

HUNTING DANGER is the fifth instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult REDEMPTION HARBOR romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women who work security and Black Ops investigations for Redemption Harbor Consulting. This is Redemption Harbor’s computer hacker and US Marine Gage Yates, and former CIA analyst Nova Blaire’s story line. HUNTING DANGER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from several third person perspective including Nova and Gage HUNTING DANGER follows the building relationship between computer hacker Gage Yates, and former CIA analyst Nova Blaire as they find themselves on a cross country trip to rescue Nova’s childhood friend whose life is spiralling out of control. A coded text from Nova’s friend Layla Ferrer found our heroine going rogue in an attempt to help her friend who had always had her back but going rogue also meant the member of her Redemption Harbor Team were willing to be of assistance at a moment’s notice. Enter computer hacker Gage Yates, and the man with whom Nova would fall in love. What ensues is a cross country adventure where Nova and Gage will be the victims of sabotage, and gunfire as they attempt to whisk Layla into protective custody.
Gage Yates suspected Nova was trying to keep secret her need to help a friend in trouble but Gage never expected to find himself on a cross-country tour but least of all falling in love with the former CIA operative that calls to his heart. Nova Blaire was desperate to reach her friend knowing that time was of the essence, time that was hindered by sabotage, injury and the possibility of a target on their backs.
The relationship between Gage and Nova is one of friends to forbidden lovers; co-workers at Redemption Harbor Consulting. Gage has been attracted to Nova since first hearing her voice months earlier; and Nova battles memories of the past where workplace harassment ultimately cost her a job. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Nova’s best friend Layla Ferrer who is desperate to get away from the man with whom she was once in love. All of the previous story line couples are present: Colt Stuart and Skye Arevalo (Resurrection #1), Zac Savage and Olivia Carter (Savage rising #2), Brooks Alexander and Darcy Cooper (Dangerous Witness #3 ), Axel and Hadley (Innocent Target #4) as well as Hadley’s father Douglas Alexander. The requisite evil is two fold including an attack aimed at anyone connected to Brooks Alexander and his father Richard.
HUNTING DANGER is a character driven and edgy story line. The premise is inviting; the characters are charismatic and inspiring; the romance is captivating and seductive. My only complaint is the quick resolution to the story line conflict-I was hoping for a little more romance and suspense.
I want to live in Redemption Harbor! If only that were possible, all these strong sexy military men and women. WOW! They just keep getting better with every new release. This on had me on the edge of my seat through most of it, LOVE that!! The feels were strong, I was laughing, crying, and praying all along. And what an ending, it was FABULOUS!!!
Cannot wait for more Redemption Harbor books!!
Gage and Nova have been fighting their attraction to each other since they first met. They work together and have become great friends. How will they handle their attraction to each other when they are thrown into a life and death situation and are forced to spend time together alone? How will they stay alive to see if what they feel is real?
I love this series and everything Katie writes.
Gage and the enigmatic Nova have their fun in the sun!
Gage feels a bit of a perv for lusting after Nova. She is his employee (kinda) but it’s a bit to close to home. Similarly, Nova lusts after Gage but she has a lot of secrets in her cupboard which she doesn’t want to expose to anyone, let alone Gage.
But when her best friend sends her a coded message for help, she wheedles the business jet and flies off to the rescue. Except she did not make the clean getaway she thought she had. Gage is on board and determined to get to the bottom of the mystery that is Nova.
Cue a plane crash, possessive (of the creepy kind) fiancé and a few narrow escapes and this is a rollercoaster ride!
I love the way this team will do anything for each other, whether it’s fight merciless revolutionaries, bomb setting maniacs or just loaning out a multi-million dollar jet at the drop of a hat! Nova may have been CIA but she is still not quite the superspook. there are many layers to Nova and I loved learning about all of them. Similarly, Gage is protective and demanding without being sleazy or misogynistic.
I’m hoping there are many more to come in this series!
Nova gets a secretive emergency message from her former foster sibling and best friend. When Nova takes off mysteriously to go to Layla, Gage knows something isn’t quite right. Being the great hacker that he is, it isn’t hard for him to butt right into her rescue mission to keep both women safe.
I’ve been anxiously waiting for Gage and Nova’s story. The author has done a good job of teasing us through out the previous books with their little dance of attraction. I knew it was going to have to be something big to get Gage to take the leap since he was holding back due to being one of her bosses. I think surviving a crash could qualify as something big.
For being on the shorter word count, this book packed a pretty big punch. It’s pretty easy to get swept up into the action and Gage and Nova’s continued dance. I found it endearing that Gage not only hesitated due to being one of her bosses, but also because he thought she was out of his league. It’s not easy to pull off an alpha hero with some insecurities but it worked. Gage was a possessive alpha but also cute with his affection for Nova. I think I like that combination.
This is the first book in the Redemption Harbor series I have read, and I am hooked. I so enjoyed Gage and Nova’s drive and passion for each other. This book has a great cast of characters but a semi-predictable plot. There are some great twists and turns in this book which made it hard to put down. The only downfall I find with this book is now I have to get the previous four books in the series because as I said I am hooked!
