HUNTER
When some straight nerd tells me he wants to marry me, I don’t know whether to laugh, cry, or punch his lights out. No matter how fcking sexy those lights might be.
But Klein’s got something I need. Money, and lots of it.
I just wish he wasn’t so fckable. And that he wasn’t putting out signals that are hard to ignore.
As I get to know him better, I start to feel things I’ve never felt before.
Like maybe, my life might actually mean something. Maybe someone might actually care for me. Maybe I might be worth something after all.
So when it turns out his life’s in danger, I’ve got to put my own on the line. Time to be the tough guy I know I am.

Klein is looking for a husband in name only so he can keep his house and to get back at his ex wife. He also needs a bodyguard because he’s being threaten. He sees Hunter in a bar and he meets both requirements. I enjoyed this book. Both men are complete opposites and have different lifestyles but seem to make it work.
Why think about the past when what’s happening in the present is so all-encmpassing? I liked Klein and Hunter as soon as I read their first meeting. You know there is backstory that makes them who/what they are. These are two men who show very clearly how their upbringing and experiences influened the type of men they are. Their relationship started out a bit unconventional, for the wrong reasons. But they managed to find their balance. Charlotte, Klein’s ex wife cheated on him with a woman in their bed and told him he was ‘boring’. He took it, but it got him to thinking. Their contract had specific conditions which Klein tried to meet first so he could retain possession of his house. As time goes by, his priorities change. Hunter is a good guy that didn’t let his past hold him back. He doesn’t spend a lot of time on self reflection. They draw each other out. Very nice story, enjoyable read. Klein has had messy divorce with his wife whom he thinks has it in for him and wants his house and fortune its way more messed up then that and it all started with his wifes stupid affair. So he decides to take charge prove hes not boring and find himself once and for all thats when he meets Hunter and wow the steam the romance there relationship its hot spicy and sweet. Especially when you consider Klien had know idea he was into men well just one man Hunter. Hunter will do whatever he can to help Klien even marriage and now they cant be without each other. Both have things to overcome Klien has lived his whole existence as someone hes not and Hunter dosent know how to except someone carrying for him after a bad childhood. Thats all dont want to give anything away but its and excellent book and I would definitely recommend it.

Discovery of late sexuality and action
Very good gay romance, with a base of romance that we often found in classic romances: a false marriage to get or keep something. The interesting points are that the hero Klein originally thought to be straight, but that he just divorced and it’s mixed with a plot in which the hero asks Hunter to be his bodyguard and then more, when it is necessary for him to keep his house.
But Klein is the victim of more and more attacks.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is about Hunter that works as a bouncer for a Club called Sailor’s Barry’s Hunter there the night Klein had gone to the club so they meet and talked most of the rest of the night. Klein was looking for a person to do something for him. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more books from this author. Thank You for writing the books so we can read them.
Klein has to search for a husband to keep his wicked ex-wife from taking his beautiful home. Luckily, he meets Hunter, a younger man who is gorgeous and street-smart and is willing to help for pay. A straight man goes into bar and comes out with a gay man. What happens? Maybe a straight man isn’t so straight and maybe the gay man can guide him towards his future, help him find himself. A sweet romance with some danger, but that’s ok, Hunter is pretty tough.

I enjoyed this more than I thought. Klein needs a bodyguard and find himself attracted to his new protector. But what happens when he originally thought himself to be straight? I love the discovery of his feelings towards Hunter while the action and suspense keeps you on your toes. We have the older man aspect too and it’s a perfect combination.

I have to admit i struggle with this book. I tried to put it aside and pick it up again but i just couldn’t get into it. It is well written though and a sweet MM story but i don’t know exactly what bugged me. I will try to pick it up again at a later date to give it a fair chance. You should still give it a try.
