On Tarron, an unexpected surprise can change a person’s world.Hunter Lyna Moore is untrusting by nature, doesn’t leave anything to chance and takes all the necessary precautions, especially when it comes to men. So how is it possible she’s pregnant after one mind-blowing sexual encounter with the male who captured her heart the minute she stepped foot on the planet? To make matters worse, the … matters worse, the father has no idea he’s going to be a daddy and has been avoiding her ever since their—ahem—joining.
Dathan Sorak knows it will take more than informing Lyna that she is his destined mate for her to agree to his claiming. After months of planning, coaxing, and finally winning her trust, he makes his move only to have it destroyed when a threat from his past endangers her life. In order to keep her safe, he is forced to keep their connection a secret and keep her at a distance. A task made more difficult by the primal instincts driving him to bond with her and pushing him toward the edge of insanity.
His resolve to stay away from Lyna changes when he discovers she plans to leave Tarron…to leave him. Dangerous or not, he refuses to lose her and will do whatever it takes to protect and claim what destiny has proclaimed belongs to him.

This is the 5th book in the series
While it isn’t necessary to read them in order the qwerks of the characters and relationships the world building has been done in the other books and in a way reading the others would have enhanced the story
It’s still very enjoyable and I now want to read the others

‘ve been enjoying this series since the beginning and this is a nice add on. I think you might be able to read it as a standalone but you’ll miss so much as the backstory is added to with every new book. I suggest reading them in order for the maximum enjoyment.
I love the world that has been created and the people in it. This was a case of Lyna, a human and a woman, succeeding in achieving hunter status. She’s the only woman and her attraction to her superior is undeniable. When she catches him in a compromising position with a woman who claims they are mated, she is determined to leave and makes her way to her friends. Dathan has been holding back. He knows she’s his fated mate but he’s in a dangerous situation and wants to protect her. When the other woman claims they belong together, he knows he is out of time. Lyna was a really great heroine. She was strong and confident. I thought she lost a bit of umph at the end but it wasn’t too bad. Dathan needed a bit of a prod and should have told the truth sooner. It was still a fast and fun read and definitely added to the series.
An unexpected mate and new danger to be faced.
by sewsummore
Upon meeting Lyna, Dathan knew that she was his mate, something he had never expected to have. He promised himself he would take things slowly until an unexpected visit from an old friend forced him to re-evaluate his actions. Through no fault of his own, Dathan felt guilty for the death of his old friend’s mate, and in return, his own mate’s life was at risk. Until the matter was resolved, he decided to avoid his mate, however, this only caused pain and suffering for them both. I found this book a quick read with a happy ending. As with most disagreements, open communication is the best policy, deciding what is best for someone else can be fraught with danger.

Dathan knew Lyna was his mate but he pushed her away to protect her from an enemy. But Lyna has a secret that she needed to tell him from their one night together. Their journey to finding each other was filled with danger and excitement and a bit of fun.

Dathan is an idiot. He knows that he has found his mate and wants to keep her close. He has this steamy encounter with her and then for the next four weeks he avoids her. Delivering her assignments because she’s also a hunter and under his command. He likes to keep a close watch on her or kidnapping but it’s not stalking her. Right? Very counterproductive. So when she walks in to his office, Dathan is it in a compromising position. He wants to explain but Lyna shut him down. Alina is not taking any crap from him. Lyna is a little bit perturbed. She was coming to him to explain to him that they’re very hot steamy and encounter has led to being pregnant. Lyna no clue that she is his mate. Because he is a Torrin she’s not supposed to be pregnant unless claim. Well she didn’t recite the words but he did. Her hormones are in overdrive. the pregnancy is seven months and not nine. With all these other things that Lyna has no clue about and that needs to happen before the babies born, she is lost and confused. So Dathan, the idiot, has a lot of explaining to do. Can he explain all the stuff before she has their baby? Can he keep her safe because he is now holding a secret that she needs to be well aware of in order to survive? With his dying breath he plans to

This is book five in this series but it is not necessary to read any of the others to enjoy the story. It begins as we learn that Lyna is pregnant. But Dathan, the father of the child, has been avoiding her ever since they had an intimate encounter. His reasoning is to protect her. She is not a damsel in distress and he has a hard time convincing her to let him protect her. It’s an interesting story with an unusual twist.

Lyna has no idea why Dathan is such a jerk she will just have to put some distance between them. Dathan needs to keep his distance to protect Luna but what is he to do when she threatens to leave the planets?! This story starts with some angst but moves very quickly. The characters a very well done. The story has lots of action and a fun twist at the end. It is worth reading to the last sentence!

This well-written book 5 in the Tarron Hunters Series has characters that are sassy and cannot decide what they need until it might be too late. This story is an old tale told in a new exciting way with great characters. I cannot wait to read more in this series and from this author. I could not put this book down and read late into the night/early morning to finish. A must read.

Well worth reading!
First, let me preface by saying this is the first book I have read in this series. Despite this, I felt like I understood things. I really liked Lyna, and, after he stopped being a ’sheraaat’ I really liked Dathan too. I thought they were good together. Honestly my favorite was probably Lyna or Trane. I will definitely be looking into the rest of the series now!

Lyna Moore is a hunter, a security specialist on Tarron. Not having a normally trusting nature, she is shocked to find herself pregnant after being with Dathan Sorak only one time! And Dathan has been pushing her away ever since their first connection. Although she doesn’t know why, he is actually fighting his own strong instinct to bond with her but has to keep her away from him for her safety from a threat coming from his own past. However, when he finds out that she is leaving Tarron, he can no longer stay away and risk losing her. Will he endanger her life coming back to her to explain? Or will he be able to protect his mate and complete their bonding?
I enjoyed this story. Very entertaining and page turning. Lyna’s is a hunter one of a few since most hunters are male. She’s a security specialist on Tarron, Lyna has to tell Dathan that he’s going to be a father. After pushing her away to keep her safe will Dathan be able to reclaim what is his? Will he put Lyna and their baby in jeopardy? Read the story and find out. Read the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a fairly quick read about a Tarron, Dathan and his human mate, Lyna. Lyna is pregnant and thinking Dathan does not want her plans to leave for Earth. He kidnaps her and tries to explain why he has failed to claim her. The story is well written and entertaining. This is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be the last. I would recommend this as a good quick read.
I read this story first and I’m going to go back and read the others in the series because I think I’m missing some stuff. That being said, I enjoyed this book.
