The only way to escape is to die.For eighteen years I’ve suffered at the hands of the Hunters. For eighteen years they’ve done their best to break me, to tear me open and unleash the terrifying monster that lives within.Until the day they go too far…When a desperate escape leads to another brush with death, I’m forced to place my trust in the hands of four formidable strangers. Wild and … formidable strangers. Wild and untamed, their feral natures call to me, their warrior hearts make mine come alive. And when they offer me a place to stay while I heal, I can’t say no.
But the secrets I carry are deadly, and my past is a twisted, evil nightmare better left forgotten.
They may think they want to know me, they may think the secrets they guard behind hard eyes and closed expressions come close to the ones I keep. But should they ever discover just who they’ve let into their home, just what I really am…their hatred could be the one thing that finally breaks me.
And if I break, the darkness inside will tear free.

Uh! Where do I begin? This author has mastered writing in a way that is slow paced, with a perfect slow build to suspense. So many secrets, I was dying reading to find all the answers on what’s going on. It killed me. I couldn’t stop reading.
The male characters are all so broken yet strong individuals. I freaking loved them all. Yes, even Lucian.
I mean…
“It was fucking terrifying to realize I’d gladly give up centuries of my life if it meant having a few decades—or even just a few days—with a person who gave me a reason to smile other than to numb the pain. I’d never thought I would truly want someone to know me. Not after I’d spent my whole existence trying to wipe out all memories of my past and who I really was.”
I can’t wait to see what’s in this authors future with writing. She truly is talented and I’m excited to see where this trilogy goes.
What got to me the most were the quiet moments the characters spent together. Tension builds out of the simplest things like making breakfast. Cannot wait for book 2. On my to read again pile
A Dark RH romance. A book that has some parts that are hard to read but at the heart of the story is one of Love, Loyalty and Family. I understand the need to explain Hope’s (FMC) background story which was difficult and heart wrenching but by the end of the book i was dying for her to explain to the guys what had happened to her. Sadly it didnt happen but im hoping it does in book 2?? I loved how considerate and caring Ruarc, Ash and Jason were to her. Leaving out Lucien because he was a prat to her for the majority of this book (i guess theres a background story there as with all the guys). A fantastic start to this series though and im dying for book 2
Wow, just wow. This book is amazing! The emotional rollercoaster it takes you on is amazing. It starts out so freaking dark… Hope has been through so much and the guys she meets try so hard to help her. However she lives in a constant state of fear. She can’t tell them so many things because well… she is terrified that they will go after the hunters and get themselves killed. There are so many questions left unanswered at the end of the book. I seriously need book 2 NOW!
I’ve had this book for quite a while and I’ve seen so many recs for this series lately that I had to jump right in.
This book is so good!
While I did catch minor repetitive bits, I actually don’t mind it.
I’m blow away at how long this book is and it just makes me so happy, it not rushed in the slightest. It’s a slow burn and I’m a huge fan of Slow Burn when done right. There isn’t much heat in this one, but because nothing is rushed I’m absolutely fine with it and what is in here, is yummy!!
I Give this Book a 4-4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4.

Narrators: Isabelle Ruther & Aiden Snow
I listened to the audiobook version of this and I fell in love with both narrators, plain and simple, they were both terrific! The way the voices all the characters were just amazing, I’m excited to listen to more books that they’ve narrated. But especially for Book 2 of this trilogy.
Erica is queen of the slow burn reverse harem. This book you cant put down as you cant get enough of the story of the FMC as she gets to know each of her protective men and the relationships that slowly develop. She spends a lot of time developing the characters making them more real. Cant get enough of this and the next book assembly. Leaving me dying for the next one!!!
What a story
Talk about some serious PTSD and how unnerving Hope can be at times, but can you really blame the poor girl?? Ugh! Sometimes I just want to shake the poor girl and say tell them everything!?! But only I don’t know what she endured and that’s the crux of it all. These guys all have issues and some serious baggage, yet they’ve had centuries to get a handle on it; she’s only escaped a week after being a captive for 18 years! This book gets you from the first page and never lets up. Seriously. I stayed up till 7am and just finished it. Too good to pass up, folks. Oh, and it ends on a cliffhanger. Enjoy! On to the next! #HappyReading
This is a beautiful slow burn that takes the time to introduce the characters and the world while still keeping you on your toes. This is a story of healing and not just for the female lead but all the main characters have their own pasts that are slowly revealed. Its a beautiful emotional story that has had me rereading it multiple times for the last year and I notice new things with every reread.
This book is a very slow burn but amazingly awesome!. Wonderful character building and plot. Erica woods nailed her debut book and I can not wait to read more by her. I absolutely loved it!!
Slow burn perfection! I absolutely love this book and have read it several times. Each time a new detail or clue pops out and leaves me salivating for the sequel. The attention to detail and character development is esquisite.
Wow this book was amazing. The characters I love them all. I love the reactions, how she don’t just get better how life like the reactions are. This book was heart wrenching and beautiful. I absolutely can not wait until the next book. I will now stalk this author.
New life, New Hope
It’s been a bit since I was grabbed by a story, I was completely sucked in within the first few sentences. Hope’s story is so heart wrenching and the guys have lived through their own hell as well. Erica Woods is a very talented author and I can’t wait to read more about family/pack.
A slow burn story that drags you in. Every flip of the page is like WHAT? Loved it and can not WAIT for the next one!!
Erica Woods’s easy-flowing prose just got me hooked and now I keep re-reading the book even after two months since I first read it. There could be more world-building, though perhaps we may see that in the sequel we are all eagerly awaiting. No harm with a character-driven story, though, and Hunted executes it perfectly, with every character so perfectly fleshed out and realized as to be as real as the people you might imagine meeting in the world. This is what really stood out to me for this book. In most reverse harem romances, I often find it difficult to distinguish between the various male love interests. The four male characters here are as different and distinct from each other as could be, and all have very interesting and meaningful backgrounds that I would be more interested to learn about. The female protagonist is also very realistically and imaginatively depicted for the genre in which this story is set. There is something about her quiet resilience that I feel very empathetic towards. There is a fair bit of melodrama but I enjoy that kind of thing so I was happy to go along with the emotional roller-coaster that the story sometimes tends to be. The narrative progression is slow, extremely slow, but that is something that does not drag the story down because the internal and interpersonal drama which is what fills out most of the story, is written so well. I was amazed to realize that the events of Hunted is basically set over the course of roughly a week, because it feels like there is so much that the characters go through emotionally within that short time span.
Amazing. You get caught up with Hope, Ruarc, Jason, Ash and Lucien. You need to know what they are, who they are and find out everything.
I loved it and can’t wait for the next two.
I have never been so in love with a book before. From the characters to the plot this book is amazing, so amazing in fact that I’ve read it 3 times! You will not regret reading this work of art I promise.
This book is amazing! I loved it so much! The characters and character development are fantastic! The storyline is complex and full of action, intrigue, suspense, and so much more! To think this is the authors debut is astounding! I am so excited for the next book in this series!
absolutely fabulous!! cannot wait for the next
I did enjoy this book but it felt like it was so long. I like the characters and the MC and story line but it just came off really drawn out. It could have been my mind set at the time I am not sure. I will be rereading is as the rest of the series comes out.
