He would kill the wench, and be done with this thing between himself and the queen of the Tuatha De Danann. And when the queen refused to release him? He’d deal with that when the time came.
The wind carried the hot dry smell of sage mixed with the smell of fear and musky female. He inhaled the raw flavor of the witch, the taste of her fear and anger and power, slid down his throat, easing his rage.
The anxious hounds shifted around him, sensing the proximity of their prey. Solanum rounded the rock.
And there she was.
The sight of her rocked him back like a blow, almost knocking him to the ground. And he realized—despite the stasis, fifteen years had been too long a time to be without a woman.
Glimmers of power limned her naked body and the silver blade of the athame that gleamed between her breasts. Her legs were spread slightly apart, tensed for battle. Long black hair crackled and lifted with static. Her expressive face was poised on the edge of dilemma, her body caught between the need to hold the spell and the need for action.
He paused to let the feel of power and woman roll through him.
Beautiful.
Unexpected.

Hunted by Jessica Aspen is an awesome story to read. This is book number one in this awesome start to a brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

I loved this book has well developed and engaging characters that helped make a great storyline. This was my first book by this author and I throughly enjoyed reading it.

I did not realize that this was a retelling of Snow White until I was engrossed in Logan’s halfhearted attempts to not fall in love with Trina. I thought this steamingly sweet, except that I really wanted to smack Trina for the way she impulsively charges forward, without any apparent thought or planning, emoting the whole way. Annoying, but I have to admit that that made Trish more real to me. Still, this was a pretty good story. I wonder what fairy tale the author will retell next.
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

Logan Ni Brennan, the Dark Huntsman, has been in prison for the last fifteen years for conspiring against the Black Queen in support of her son the Prince. Newly released, he has been tasked with the killing of a gypsy traveler family the MacElvys. He encounters a very attractive nude earth witch. He captures her. The adventure starts when Logan wants to keep Trina and find out why the evil Black Queen wants to eliminate her entire family. Trina is equally attracted to Logan. Her main focus is to save her remaining family. Logan tries to solve the mystery of the MacElvys and to find out about his friend the Prince. Trina insists on helping and this usually ends in disaster. There are many twists and turns in this classic retelling of the sleeping Beauty/Huntsman fairytale. A page turner with lots of action and interesting characters. I look forward to the next book!
This was a good retelling of the classic fairytale Snow White. But it is basically told from the Huntsmans view and him being the hero. This book was twisted and fun to read with lots of action and adventure.

A twist on the fairy tale Snow White and the Huntsman. Logan is sent by the Black Queen to kill the witch Trina but when he sees her he knows that isn’t going to happen. I really enjoyed this book.
Logan the Huntsman woke up in pain, weak, and unsure of where he was. A troll kicked him and told another person they needed a healer or he would be no good to the Black Queen in his current condition, having been in a dark hole for 15 years!
The Black Queen intends to send Logan on a mission to seek out the MacElvy witches and kill them before a prophecy can come true. Rather than finding the Clan, Logan finds Trina MacElvy, who has always hated elves, and their lives change as he abducts her and they fall in love, putting them both in mortal danger. Hiding is not an option and there is nowhere safe to run. Will they learn to trust each other enough to survive? Will they find a way to be safe? Where can they go? Or will the Black Queen have them hunted down and destroyed for thwarting her plans?
This was an interesting twist on the fairy tale many of us are familiar with. The characters were developed well, and the story line kept the reader intrigued, especially with the tense opening chapter where Logan woke up in pain and confusion. Grab your copy and enjoy the fast-paced story!
This was a creative, steamy, Snow White kind of story that would have been absolutely wonderful had Trina been even somewhat likeable. Belligerence is not the same as feisty/sassy, and is not charming. Strong, intelligent, capable, witty female characters are unfortunately quite rare in literature these days. This would not have been all that noticeable had there not been so many of Trina’s wishy-washy mental dialogues pointing out exactly how stupid she was being. Also, this is the first book I’ve ever read that considers elves to be fae, aka fairies, not that there are any hard and fast rules in the ever changing world of fantasy. But back to the tale: betrayal, trust, denial, prejudice, family loyalty, sacrifice, survival, and love are some of the underlying themes in this book. It ends in a safe for now cliffhanger. Because the rest of the characters and the book in general were well written, I’m going to assume that Trina was a one-time dud and exclaim that I’m looking forward to reading what happens next.
I received a free copy of Hunted, but that did not affect my review.
