Trapped. Tortured. Only she can save him from the Hive.
Vice Admiral Niobe has resisted the temptation of the Interstellar Brides Program for years, certain there is no male in the universe willing to sacrifice his vision of a perfect life to be with her. Shocked to be matched to her father’s home world of Everis, she transports, expecting to find an eager mate waiting for her. Instead, she … for her. Instead, she arrives within a secret Hive integration center to find him resisting a merciless enemy.
Elite Hunter Quinn might have been captured by the Hive, but he’ll sacrifice anything to save the mate he never expected… never imagined would appear like an angel in the middle of hell. A warrior in her own right, Niobe’s too stubborn to leave him behind. And even if they escape the Hive, their personal scars run deep. Battle and bloodshed are easy. But healing a wounded warrior’s heart? That may prove impossible.

This book was so good, from the first page to the last! Loved the fierce, loyal, personalities of Niobe and Quinn. This book was packed full of action and romance and so much awesomeness!
Great series. Reading all the books
Really enjoyed the book, couldn’t put it down!
So this storyline takes a slightly different tack by showing the alpha male struggling with figuring out how to remain alpha, yet have a more powerful mate than himself. I appreciated the slightly more developed characters for this genre.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone
What would you give up for your mate? Vice Admiral Niobe, thanks to her friends, she is in the bride testing chair having the most amazing experience. In her 30’s and at her rank there probably wouldn’t be a mate for her. To her surprise she has a mate. Right away she is tranported to his location. Elite Hunter Quinn is a captive of the hive. He has been tortured, his crew has been killed, and no escape in sight. Was did come into view was the most amazing woman he ever saw. Not exactly the perfect meeting, but it led to good things for the coalition, but it is not ending up that way for Quinn. His mate is high ranking and all business. Able to go places and do things he can not. That was not going to work, his plan was genius, hopfully he would not end up in jail. Love this book, and the series is amazing.
great addition to the series
Book seventeen of the Interstellar Brides® Program series a book that kept me turning pages until I finished it. Elite Hunter Quinn has been captured by the Hive and only Vice Admiral Niobe can get him out. I enjoyed seeing how these two get their happy ending. There is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, two people helping each other and finding love while doing so. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a fabulous story. I loved that these two characters were so strong and independent. Niobe is a leader and a very powerful woman while Quinn was an Elite Hunter. It was wonderful that each was required to surrender to the other if they were going to find happiness. I was surprised by what Quinn did for his mate and then Niobe’s gift was stunning.
I love Interstellar Brides and the program. You have to wonder if life would be so much easier if we had something like this in real life. The program doesn’t make these beautiful characters fall in love; it just finds that soul mate that they need to make their lives better.
With Hunted, we get a story of a high ranking woman Vice Admiral Niobe, who has never wanted a mate. She is content with her life and happy to be an Admiral in this war. However, when her friends put her in the program, and it ends up finding her a mate, she is more surprised than anyone else in the room.
Gavin was tested years ago and has almost given up with the program. However, now that he is in the middle of a war, the last thing he expects to see is a beautiful woman transmitted into the middle of the room.
Although these two are used to fighting in war zones, they have very little knowledge of how to work a relationship. Will these two be able to find a middle ground to save their love? Alternatively, will they always be at war?
Vice Admiral Niobe consented to be “Matched” because her friend, Rachel, from another of Ms. Grace’s works, has nagged until she’s given in. Unbeknown her match, Quinn, an Elite Hunter, has been tortured by The Hive and is now in a holding cell. As all good matches have done in the past, Niobe is transported to him thinking he’s the one holding the cards AGAINST The Hive, only to find herself facing three of the ugliest species alive. To save herself, Quinn, and all those held captive by The Hive, Vice Admiral Niobe must put herself, her mate, and all “humans” on Latiri 4 in danger. Is there a way to have her match, save those being held against their will, and keep her role as Vice Admiral ?? She willing to take the risk. Once again Ms. Grace has graced us with a superb work of fantastical romance, with a kink … sorry, I meant kick. Really ?? NOT !!! Please read “Hunted”, for your sanities sake.
Hunted is the seventeenth book in the Interstellar Brides series, but reads well as a stand alone. There are previous couples in this book, but any back information that’s needed is shared in this book. Niobe , the Vice Admiral in charge of the entire Coalition Academy, is visiting her friends when she takes the Interstellar bride test. Matched right away to Elite Hunter Quinn, she transports right to him. But Quinn’s in danger and Niobe has to save him. Will they be able to solidify their mating or will the dangers of the Hive be too much to survive?
Quinn and Niobe were an interesting couple that held my attention and captured my heart. There’s a danger element to this story, two really strong and independent characters, a whole lot of passion that just explodes between the pages, and a couple that has to figure out how they could possibly work together. Niobe is one amazing lady, and I loved her strength, dedication, passion for her job, and I was fascinated by her instincts vs her upbringing that created a little bit of strife. Quinn was just as strong and dedicated, and I loved that as soon as he met Niobe, he just knew that he would dedicate his everything to her. It was interesting to see how such an alpha male had to adjust his thinking and skill set to work around his beloved female and her skill set! While this might not be my most favorite book in the series, I still loved reading this book and I look forward to see where this series might go next!
A splendid, enjoyable alien romance & a pleasure to read, it is somewhat different to the rest of this author’s books but I promise you that it is definitely worth reading. I found the plot well-written & exceptionally mesmerizing, the world building & description is excellent. The characters are well-developed & strong-willed with a determined to succeed. There are some character crossovers from previous books but this book can be read as a standalone.
It is about: a high ranking powerful woman (Vice Admiral “Niobe”) of the Coalition is matched to a Elite Hunter (Quinn) but discovers that he has been taken captive along with fellow hunters & the story starts from here.
There is: various kinds of aliens, evil aliens, friendship, subtle manipulations, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, interstellar war, adventure, action, danger, enemies, conflict, violence, vengeful feelings, betrayal, longings, determination, mates, compromises, steamy scenes, contentment & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion.
I thought that this was a great read! This book packs a powerful one-two punch with its intense story and its incredible characters. Niobe and Quinn created a compelling couple with a unique feel to the pairing. Both these characters are fierce, strong and driven warriors. This brought a new set of issues into the relationship and produced a whole new dynamic. In my opinion, this generated a very fresh breath of air into the series. It was nice to see a female that didn’t just react but was proactive in a large and in charge, kick@$$ way. Despite the dueling alpha personalities, these two had amazing chemistry and their intimate scenes were steamy. Add in drama, danger, action, excitement, tension and lots of emotions, and you have a not to be missed book in a very enjoyable series.
“Hunted” is Book 17 in the Interstellar Brides series and Grace Goodwin continues to tell us a story that is unique, original and as gratifying as each book in the series! The hero and heroine are BOTH Alpha’s and to the world they are strong, confident and well respected in their commands. Vice Admiral Niobe has achieved second position at the top of the chain of command for the ENTIRE coalition forces, only Prince Nial outranks her. Elite Hunter Quinn is an elite hunter from Everis , they are a part of the Coalition Forces but only answer to the rulers of Everis. We have two strong warriors who struggle with personal issues and we meet Quinn in a prison cell, a captive of the Hive. Are you interested, yet? I know that I couldn’t put the book down from page one! The attraction between Niobe and Quinn is magnetic and the scenes between them are riveting and HOT! Characters from other stories made appearances and this heightened the enjoyment and intrigue from beginning to end. The story was filled with suspense, fast paced, romantic and amazing, hot sex scenes. It can be read as a standalone but more enjoyable if, you’ve read the other stories. Thank you, Grace Goodwin!!
This was a great read. I love this series. The different kinds of aliens and how their cultures are so unique makes for such great world building.
I loved Niobe so much. She was so commanding and didn’t let Quinn boss her around. Except in the bedroom of course. Lol I also loved how Quinn accepted Niobe for who she was. He had to make adjustments because she was such an important person and high ranking officer in the war. But in the end he understands she has to be that powerful woman for others but when they are alone he is in charge.
This book is definitely a bit different than most the other stories in this series – but in a great way that continues to keep this series fresh and enjoyable. As always, the characters, world building and story are so detailed, you can’t help but become immersed in the story till the very end. I was really excited to see recurring characters that made the story so much deeper and more enjoyable. The give and take between the two alpha characters was foreplay in and of itself – and made the sexy scenes that much hotter!
After 20+ stories in this Interstellar Brides universe the story is just as fresh, unique and satisfying as the first book. Love love love this series!
I received a free copy of this book for my honest opinion. Like you, I depend upon reviews to make my choices and I promise never to over state or exaggerate any reviews I write. I am honored to be a part of the ARC team for Grace Goodwin – she is a must read author for me.
I absolutely love this author’s writing!! Whenever this author has a new book coming out I jump on it and devour it in one sitting. Niobe it’s not your typical interstellar bride, she doesn’t want to be matched because she is so career oriented. She feels like being a bride, the male would clip her wings and want her to stay at home being a baby making machine. Niobe gives into the peer pressure by her two friends and does the testing and she is astounded by who she is matched with because it ticks all of her buttons as a woman and an Everian. Elite Hunter Quinn has taking the testing before and was not match to a bride so he goes on fighting against the Hive. Niobe is matched to Quinn and when she is transported to him she finds him and a very compromising position with the Hive. She out ranks him in the Coalition but they both have to learn to compromise and put their pride aside to make this mating work. Both are Evarian and they don’t want to compromise on their dominant natures. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!! I hope it is Prillion Warriors!!!
I really enjoyed reading this book! It can totally be read as a standalone, but people who follow the series will find familiar characters in this book. (Although the main hero is from Everis it doesn’t featur the “Everis 3V “)
Once more the author has provided a unique sexy, fun, romantic and action packed book. The characters have dept, the plot is interesting and it’s really hard to put this book down once you star reading it.
I have read and own each and every one of Grace Goodwin’s IBP books. There’s a very good reason for that. They are just really darn good books. They have a great story and lots of sexy love. The characters, especially her female characters, tend to be really strong, and aren’t willing to give up easily.
None of them more so than Vice-Admiral Niobe. She is incredibly fierce, talented, strong, fearsome, and determined. She’s going to do everything she can to get what she needs, and right now, what she needs is her mate, Quinn. She ends up having to go in and rescue him from the evil clutches of a Nexus and the Hive, and she does that, and locks the base down so that the Hive can’t escape singlehandedly. Like I said, fearsome.
I think that Niobe is going to be high on my personal list of favorite heroines, because she really is just a total BAMF. There is no one higher in the Coalition military than her, and it shows. She has earned every stripe and star, and she’s not willing to compromise on her job.
I like Quinn, at least most of the time. There are a few times when I think he is stupid AF and he really makes me mad. He really needs to be smacked around when those times happened.
