I am quite new to A.L. Jackson but she is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. I love her style of writing and her compelling stories.
We first met Lilith and Broderick in Show Me the Way. Hunt Me Down is a backstory that tells how these two characters got together. Although quick, it is still super sexy and super intense enemies-to-lovers story.
Hunt Me Down hooks you from the beginning in form of emails that are exchanged between Lilith and Broderick. And the exchange is nothing short if hilarious. You can practically feel the sexual tension that is brewing between these two, and they’re not even in the same room together! And once they meet in person, hot damn! The chemistry is off the charts. So if you are looking for a sexy, quick read, then is one is definitely for you.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Because a big Wolfe is better than Prince Charming.
This is a standalone shorter book in the Fight For Me series. You don’t need to have read Show Me The Way (the first book in the series), but I totally recommend it, and you meet Lillith Redd and Broderick Wolfe there.
An enemies to lovers romance, this book is sweet and sexy all at the same time. It’s so amazing, because, as I said, it’s a shorter book, but I didn’t feel as if I was missing on anything.
There was an edge and an intensity to this book, a growing sexiness that was compelling and addictive.
Wolfe and Redd are figthing a legal battle. He is doing his job and working hard so that his father don’t ruin everything by making things the wrong way. She is holding wiht all her might to her past and memories, afraid to let go and be vulnerable.
But among their animosity and allegedly hatred, there is something so much more powerful that can’t be denied. Their feelings start to grow at rocket speed and there is nothing they can do to fight it.
She might be fierce Little Redd Riding Hood and he is definitely a dark Wolfe. But you know what they say about wolves…
They are bigger, stronger, they see you better, they smell you better and they certainly will eat you way better.
I had already read the rest of the Fight for Me Series, so I was excited to see there was a novella too. I had wondered about Lilith and Broderick from the other books. I enjoyed this steamy enemies to lovers story!
“I hated every single perfectly sculpted inch of him.”
I am a huge fan of Amy’s writing. She is one of the few authors whose books I automatically one-click. I normally don’t read many novellas, because it is just too short for me to fully connect to with the characters. And I always get the feeling that there is not enough character growth. However, the author did a phenomenal job with Hunt Me Down. I was intrigued from the start, and couldn’t wait to see how the story would develop. The author did a great job in telling a complete story. Even though the story was fast-paced, it didn’t rush through things and the chemistry between Brody and Lily felt real. This is a enemies-to-lovers novella, and even though I usually don’t like this trope, it was done really well. I especially loved their email exchange. Brody and Lily were a perfect match, and I wish their story was a full-length novel.
“No question that was what this man was. Sin. Wicked and immoral.”
Lily and Broderick are chock full of playful friction, electric attraction, and enough tension to have your Kindle spontaneously combust!!! Hot, full of feels, and characters that I adore from reading Show Me The Way!! Their story added dimension and understanding to a must-read series that I can’t wait for more from!!
“The words spilled out without thought or reason. The only thing I knew was their truth. I would never let this woman get away from me. I would hunt her. Find her. Keep her.”
Broderick is simply sinful, Lily his fiesty match, and I had a ball reading them, truly. The Author has a way of really writing as if you are right there seeing it for yourself and I love that about her books. I will gladly read her for as long as she keeps writing! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review.

Hunt Me Down was a great little novella to add to the Fight For Me series by A.L. Jackson.
This is a quick but entertaining read that will only take you a couple hours to read. It is told in Dual POV and is completely a standalone novella. This is an enemies to lovers type story and because of the length of the story you could characterize it as an insta-love. I found I didn’t mind the insta-love aspect because it worked for this storyline.
As I said this this a standalone and no other book needs to be read before enjoying this little gem!! We are introduced to Broderick in Show Me the Way (Book 1). But truthfully I didn’t even remember meeting him in that book and I still enjoyed this story. We do have a small cross over character in this novella but it won’t spoil anything for Book 1 in this series.
In this story we follow Broderick and Lillith. Broderick is trying to buy the building that houses Trindall’s Thimbles, which is near and dear to Lillith’s heart….so of course she is trying to stop the sale. There is no live loss between these two…that is until they meet face to face…then the sparks fly. Still fighting an attraction, Lillith will do everything in her power to not fall for Broderick. Will Broderick win and get the building?? Will he win over Lillith?? Read this story to find out.
If you are a fan of enemies to lovers this is a perfect read for when you have some spare time and can’t commit to a long read. All fans of Ms. Jackson’s should read this novella. This is a great introduction to this great series!!!
Favorite Quotes:
Okay, he so didn’t look harmless. He basically looked like he was ready to tear you to pieces in the best of ways. I think you’re due for a little shredding.
Confusion twisted through my spirit, an inkling of something I didn’t quite understand—something sweet and hopeful…
My Review:
I gasped and smirked my way through this quick and steamy modern-day fairy tale remake of Red Riding Hood that featured a dark and smoldering couple with incendiary chemistry; they were so hot I feared for my Kindle. He was Mr. Wolfe and came to town representing his father whose company had reputation for corrupt business practices. She was the feisty Ms. Redd, a lawyer for her beleaguered foster grandmother, and seemed to wear a lot of red clothing. Mr. Wolfe liked the color red. She hated him before ever meeting him although they initially fought a war of words through angry and inflammatory emails. He had a sharp mind and sharp teeth, and she secretly liked both. They bantered and sallied insults before ultimately scorching the sheets, yet business was handled and grandmother was unharmed.
If you love a hot sexy enemies to lovers read, then you must grab this book ASAP!! This quick read was all sorts of hot sexy banter with just enough steam to leave you begging for more. Broderick and Lillith were the perfect combination of stubbornness, fiestiness and downright sexiness that were combustible together. Loved reading about these two in Show Me the Way and loved that they got their own book.
Very hot, very quick read with a play on Little Red Riding Hood… loved the story and chemistry. Only wish it was longer.
A whole lot of hot in this pursuit! I think the tension, lust, and delicious things Mr. Wolfe was saying burned my fingers while turning pages. I absolutely loved this story. Sexy, sinful and naughty just like a fairytale should be…
This novella was previously released in an anthology that knocked my socks of and caused flames to shoot out of my kindle. When I say it’s hot…I mean reading it alone might cause bodily harm.
Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
So much hot deliciousness is packed into this sexy, quick read!
Novellas can be a hit or miss for me. I’m either left with the feeling of disconnect, or I’m left wanting more. And Hunt Me Down for sure left me panting for SO much more!
“You want me to chase you, Lil’ Redd? Run.”
This alpha male is on the hunt, and the chase has never sounded so good.
“I told you that when you closed your eyes I’d be the only thing you’d see.”
I loved this retelling of Lilith and Brody’s backstory, how these two bold and passionate characters found their own HEA. Their story is intense and simmers with heated sexual tension that vibrates with desire. The enemies-to-lovers aspect of the storyline makes the relationship a little forbidden, somewhat unwanted, and a whole lot naughty.
…”Mark my words. I will make you mine.”
Seductive, steamy, and swoony, Hunt Me Down will make you wish for your own big, bad Wolfe!
5 Stars!
Looking for a super quick, super sexy, super satisfying enemies-to-lovers novella? AL Jackson has you taken care of with Hunt Me Down.
This series started off with a bang, and the sparks continue to fly with Broderick and Lily’s story. This novella is basically everything you’d come to expect from an enemies-to-lovers trope: snarky banter, heated chemistry, and a whole lot of deliciously sexy fighting. Oh, hey – plus? Dirty talking alpha. YUM.
On top of all of that, this is a modern day retelling of Little Red Riding Hood which just made the story that much more fun. It was easy to draw the parallels and I enjoyed this whole thing so much! It moves quickly, but the story is easy to lose yourself in and definitely a spicy addiction to the Fight for Me series!
