Interesting. Drags a bit here and there. A little different.
Disappointing Main character is too full of herself
Not the best in the series, I got tired of being reminded that Willa came from Detroit. It seemed like filler rather than part of the story.
Great read!!
Thoughtful. Few unexpected twists and turns. Interesting characters.
Great Writer. Great Book Series
well written
judges are people too.
Appreciated that book isn’t loaded with expletives. However I felt it lacked suspense — fairly predictable.
Hadn’t read any of her previous books and now I’m a FAN!
Interesting writing style
The writer took too long to get to the real part of the story. She dwelled on their house and their restaurant and finally I just deleted it from my Kindle.
I’m certainly enjoying this series, having read the first 2 now. These kept me interested enough to want to pick up and continue reading whenever I had the time.
I read the first book of the set, but opted not to continue through the second. My feelings are mixed about the writing. In some ways I was drawn in to the story; in others the constant hints of things about to go wrong drove me up the wall (these occurred at the end of almost every single chapter; you could practically hear the warning tones of a movie orchestra). It dragged as well; I kept looking at the percentage of progression on my Kindle and thinking, “Is that all?” The characters were plentiful and fleshed out well; the story plot itself was interesting. I’ll likely try another from this author but need a break first.
I enjoyed reading these first two books so much that I actually bought the third book in the series.
Great read…
