This is actually a series by Diane Capri. I have read the first four and enjoyed following the characters and the continuing story line. If you enjoy mysteries with a legal bent you will enjoy this series.
I was put off at first by the characters – a judge and a very conservative Republican, very upper middle class – but found the plot very character-driven and interesting. I enjoyed reading these two and will look for more books by Diane Capri.
Started it but quit after a few chapters of the first book. Not my genre.
Exciting, page turner, can’t put it down
Good writer, but note to author: How can an island be “below sea level”. It would then be underwater, wouldn’t it?
Hard to put down. Loved this selection of books!
Interesting plot twists
The two stories are interesting but contain too much extraneous material. The judge’s choice of clothing or long passages of ruminating are not critical to the story line.
A brilliant “Who done it” from an author who writes with deftness about a world she understands and brings to life for her reader. A great read
Easy to read. Removes stress.
This book gets 10 Stars she gets 10 Stars everything she is a must-read
Great book action from beginning to end. All the Jack Reacher books are well worth reading
Great read!
Once again Diane Capri has written a great book with realistic characters and true representation to the setting.
Two greart stories about Willa Carso, a lawyer and then a judge, whose jobs got her involved in cases she was hied for. Couldn’t stop reading both books until I found out who done it!
Author, Diane Capri, succeeded in writing two really good books. Her protagonist, the Honorable Willa Carson, is well developed. Even when her conduct is a bit crazy, she explains to us why. And Wills does get herself into some messes and mysteries. My only “complaint” of this writer is her failure to use the pronoun “I” at the beginning of a sentence. It makes for some tough reading and ruins the flow of reading. Other than that, you will enjoy what author Diane Capri, has created for you.
There is a reason Diane Capri is a top-selling author. Loved this action-packed thriller. If you’re looking for a page-turner, this is it!
I enjoyed books 1&2
Just when you think you’ve figured it out you find you’re wrong!
My first read for this author. Nice job on character development.
