I liked these books. Light reading, beach read type thing.
The characters, especially Willa, practically jumped off the page. I found the story well-researched, the background fascinating, and the writing style superb.
I liked these books. Light reading, beach read type thing.
Intrigued
Willa is one of those women who needs to get answers and make sure that the right people get convicted for doing wrong, even in her courtroom.
Good characters and story but slow moving.
Enjoyed the read, something different with a dry wit.
I enjoyed the book!!
The main characters were a bit confusing with being presented as open minded and sharing with each other, while not being entirely truthful with each other. Yes this attitude helped promote the central character with a reason for solving the problem, but I didn’t buy it.
I love the main character, Judge Willa Nelson is strong, compassionate, intelligent and funny! I love this series as I do all series by Diane Capri!!
The book was entertaining but somewhat predictable. I like the characters and might read more but not a favorite series that I will eagerly await the next release date.
I love the judge.
Great Summer read. If you love legal stories, you’ll love this one.
The “realness” of this lead character made her feel like a friend instead of a character in a book. From her work to her relationship with her husband you could feel like her in her everyday life. Having lived in FL, I liked the setting. An easy read and realistic crimes.
Easy read, easy to follow, I like the main characters, second I’ve read in this series
Entertaining
Judge Willa doesn’t give up, ever. She’s smart and loyal and I want to be her friend!
Newly acquainted with this author. I’ve also read her Finding Jack Reacher series and enjoy her work.
I’ve read multiple books by Diane Capri and they are never disappointing. Love the characters.
This has lots of politics in it, which overshadow the mystery aspect. I found the politics somewhat confusing, and often had a hard time keeping track of the players. I didn’t find it a very easy read. I did like the main character’s relationship with her husband.
This was a two volume set. I read the first one. The second was too darkly political so I opted out after a short bit.
