He’s big. He’s sexy. And he’s hung. The first time I met Pick Revere I tried to bash his head in with a baseball bat. The second time, I kissed the ever-loving daylights out of him on a dare. For a girl who’s on the lam and hiding from her cop ex, I’m failing miserably at laying low. Instead, I’m going up in delicious flames—because Pick’s the hottest, roughest, toughest bad boy firefighter I’ve … toughest bad boy firefighter I’ve ever laid eyes (or lips) on. He promises he has a big hose—and knows how to use it. I’d investigate, but I need my job as a cook at the fire camp. I’m supposed to serve my hotshot breakfast—not me. I’m supposed to keep my secrets. And I’m definitely supposed to stay single.
But I’m not prepared for what happens after our kiss. Pick’s magnetic and dangerous. He’s short-term fun—not Mr. Commitment. But then he volunteers to be my muscle when my douche ex tracks me down. And I shouldn’t want more than that.
But I do.
I should run as fast as I could from Pick.
But I won’t.
Because he sets me on fire and you know what they say about firefighters—the hotter you get, the faster they come. How’s a gal to say no?
This full-length standalone from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Anne Marsh is full of dirty swoonworthy hotshot firefighters that know how to use their hoses and who are about to learn how to use their hearts. This novel was originally published as a much shorter and tamer novella by eKensington and has been completely rewritten. The book is twice as big… and so are the hoses.

Good storyline and HEA but, overall it was disappointing. At times I was confused with the characters or the current scene abruptly stops and the story picks up somewhere else without recognizing acknowledging what has already occurred.
I like the hotshot firefighter, Pick. He is a solid character with rough edges but definitely likable. Sarah Jo, the young woman “laying low” as the cook at the fire camp where Pick and his crew are stationed. She isn’t as likeable to me because of her of weak selfish character. Pick may have done a complete turnaround about love and relationships but, he lays it on the line with Sarah Jo. She, however, doesn’t give him the respect and courtesy to tell him her feelings until the last possible moment when he’s sweating over her hesitation.
The secondary characters are all over the place and not developed enough to really contribute anything to the story except confusion.
Lists for dirty talk. Steamy sex scenes. Little story.
Hunky Hotshot with heart and humor
Hung (Mister Hotshot #1) by Anne Marsh is a steamy and sweet romantic comedy with wonderful characters. Pick is a drool and swoon-worthy alpha protector. I adore his irreverent, hilarious self talk. He had me in stitches. Sarah Jo is just as witty while struggling to find her way out of a bad situation involving an ex hellbent on punishment.
While the relationship of Pick and Sarah Jo seems to move extremely slowly, their chemistry blazes hotter than the wildfires that Pick and his Hotshot crew battles. I love how Pick is so patient, kind and even sweet while having dirty, filthy thoughts. He’s a true guy, a man of few words (which seems to really work for Sarah Jo) and yet he has heart.
Overall, a really fun read with plenty of laugh out loud moments as well as those of the steamy variety too. Not to mention the final reveal (words, feelings, the ex resolution) and the HEA.
That was deliciously delightful. I enjoyed the banter between Pick, great name by the way and Sarah Jo. Every woman should love a strong hot firefighter to protect her. He’s strong, brave, and sensational. What a guy. I’m intrigued to find out how Hunter and Lola’s story began so I’m definitely looking forward to reading it.
What would anybody think when seeing a book entitled “Hung”? Obvious-much? But once again, I took it because was free (yep, I’m cheap). And was delighted to read a very original story with cute characters and a clever plot.
Excellent story!
Just ok!
predictable, plot got lost a little in the middle, good ending
Found it hard to get I to and crude.
I enjoyed the dialogue between the characters. They had wonderful personalities.
* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *
It’s a steamy story with a storyline that builds nicely, what I didn’t like was all the internal dialogues. Internal dialogues is good but not when it’s to much, I tend to get lost
Narrators is good, the pronunciation is clear and they read with feelings.
I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters, they were fun and I could easily relate to them. I adore an alpha male who does not take himself too seriously. I also appreciate when the dialog makes me laugh out loud. I look forward to reading other stories in this series and from this author.
Loved the characters. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Keeps you interested and was hard to put down and now want to read rest of series
Ok the truth is I can’t even get past the first chapter. There is SO MUCH detail it took like 4 pages to describe a kiss. I can’t do all that…if you like page after page of monotonous details that repeat and repeat you will love this book. Otherwise I don’t suggest it. It looked like it could be good but I just can’t through it. Sorry.
Not her best effort characters lack depth and believability.
Easy read and steamy!
I could not finish it so boring
Great book I would definitely recommend it.
Boring stopped reading it after second chapter. Did not keep my interest.
