“All she wanted to do was leave, but Calum was doing everything to keep her there. What he had endured was more humiliating, so she swallowed the uncomfortable emotions swirling in her stomach trying to crawl their way up her throat…”Olivia Crawford was ‘famous’ for being the rich, snooty, spoiled town princess. Ever since she could remember girls whispered and pointed at her. Boys gawked at her, … gawked at her, but didn’t dare approach her.
Now she was in college, in the same town, with the same people who never forgave her for callously dumping the boy who had become the town celebrity.
Calum Breen was the adored, easy-going, captivating high school athlete. He didn’t know who Olivia was at first and then he didn’t give a damn. He pursued her until he had her and then Olivia made it crystal clear her uppity reputation was more than deserved. His humiliation, at her hands, and anger drove him to the MMA. Now he was back to prove who was better than who.
He was no longer the gullible, love struck boy; he was a hardened man who had learned to defend himself. And he was going to enjoy teaching Olivia how sweet payback is.
“In case you haven’t noticed you are the one waiting on me hand and foot. Did Daddy finally come to his senses and realize you weren’t a princess, but a selfish, vain stuck up bitch?”
Calum’s path for revenge takes some unexpected turns and he learns not everything is at it appears.

I am so disappointed that this story had an ending, I wanted to keep reading, and reading! It takes a lot for a novel to get me hooked within the first chapter, let alone the first two paragraphs. The writing could not have been better for this story. I had a gut feeling that there was more to Olivia when her stalking her ex was introduced and I couldn’t wait until it unravelled. However, finding out what it was makes your stomach knot up, mainly because it is reality and it makes you sympathetic to the character. I couldn’t have loved the character Calum anymore. He was the perfect complimentary character to Olivia. In fact, there isn’t one character I didn’t like…besides the obvious Mr. Crawford. This is considered an alpha male romance novel but to be honest, after finishing it I felt nothing but respect for Calum and I thought his character was perfect for this novel. This is a major page turner, and in fact I didn’t put it down until I finished it. It’s one of the best books I’ve read in a while. After I finish this review I’m going to do a little stalking of my own to find more great novels by T. Christensen.
Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance
By T. Christensen
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the story Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a book that had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. It is the story of Olivia Crawford and Calum Breen. Olivia is a woman who doesn’t have many she can call friends. She is the woman known for dumping Calum. Calum is a man who is in the MMA world. He is going to enjoy the payback that he is determined to give Olivia. He is on a path of revenge. What happens next has him wondering if everything is as it appears to be. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. There are times when I was angry and sad. There are others when I couldn’t help but feel for the characters of Oliva and Calum and wanted them to find happiness. The bantering that goes on between Calum and Oliva shows the conflict between them. There are also some very steamy scenes in the book as well. Don’t miss out on a story that is addictive, entertaining, and hard to put down. I highly recommend reading it.
Humiliating Revenge is a Young Adult Romance by T. Christiensen. This book had so many different elements to it, it was difficult to pinpoint which element was my favorite. The relationship between the main characters and how their relationship unfolds is definitely an interesting one. I won’t give that away because I would hate to ruin one of the best parts of the book. Also, the main character’s relationship with her father is relatable to anyone who has ever gone through any kind of domestic violence. I think it is important that we see these kinds of relationships in literature more often so that it brings them to light. I like how the author addressed the situations. The “steamy” parts of the book, I felt, were absolutely perfect for a Young Adult romance. When reading a young adult romance I look for a certain level of steam and romance, but not too much and this book delivered perfectly! I would highly recommend this book.
Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen was an emotional read. I had tears while reading most of this book. There were plenty of moments as a third party observer where I just wanted to resolve the issue, I got super invested in Calum and Olivia. I usually go for light hearted reads but it’s books with themes like this that end up really staying with.It brings to mind the whole thought of don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This was definitely a heavy book but the ending and lessons that both characters learn really make it worth the time and investment.
Humiliating Revenge is the first book I’ve read by T. Christensen and for that reason, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I was afraid this book would be a lot like most second chance Romance stories but it really was an emotional rollercoaster. There was a lot more depth to the characters and storylines than I was anticipating. The book itself really exceeded my expectations. I found myself interested from the very first page and my interest never faded. After reading this 4 star book, I would definitely read more from this Author in the future.
A story about a young love cut short, full of regret when they come face to face several years later. Olivia Crawford seems very uncomfortable in her own skin. There is so much Olivia worries about as a daughter who is abused with very few she can consider a friend.
Calum Breen was the guy that was dumped, who works hard to become an MMA fighter and come home to show the girl who humiliated him how well he is doing now. The interactions between the older Calum and Olivia starts to show him that maybe he missed something back in high school.
The story was well written and I appreciate how the author showed growth and change in the characters.
Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen is a good, entertaining read. This stars with the typical girl dumps boy, and he remakes himself to return bigger and better. Luckily, the author takes this and runs further and deeper with this storyline. The characters are complex and multidimensional. I enjoyed the story and the characters. People were deeper than I first thought and this helped to propel the story. I enjoyed the fact that I was surprised by the story because my first assumptions were this would be a typical cookie cutter story. There was good character development and story development. This is a good romance if you like Alpha males and strong, determined females. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Humiliating Revenge by T Christensen was an intense read. This book has an addicting way about it. The author does an excellent job in portraying each character flaws and attributes. This story is about a young woman who has endured abuse of many natures. She puts herself in a position where she falls for the star athlete who introduces her to a new form of abuse.
T Christensen provides us with a very well put together storyline, a fast and easy read and good character development. Callums character was harder to read and get a handle on, however that is what makes it so good. He had that depth of a character development. Olivia’s character grew and changed throughout the book, and it was heartwarming to see her grow.
I really enjoyed this book as it was a dominating romance with a side of emotional bullying plot.
I highly recommend this book. And plan on checking out this author for more books.
Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen
5-Stars
Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen was so much more than I expected. Main character Olivia is ready to let go of her past with Calum until he shows up at the bar she is working at. He uses this opportunity to seek revenge but instead of it stopping there, secrets begin to surface and there is confusion. Is Olivia really the batch everyone thinks she is, or did Calum actually see the real person beneath the façade?
I was in tears at times while reading this book. I hurt for Olivia and what she struggled with. Her secret was huge and the life she grew up loving with her dad? Wow. I was so angry, sad, and frustrated at times but she was selfless. Calum irritated me at the start of the novel but as time went on my opinion changed. By the end of this book I was in love with them! I also might mention that I read this in one sitting. It wasn’t planned but when I started this book; I couldn’t stop. I highly recommend this novel.
This was my first book by Author T. Christensen. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect and to be honest I was expecting the worst from Calum the whole book. “In case you haven’t noticed you are the one waiting on me hand and foot. Did Daddy finally come to his senses and realize you weren’t a princess, but a selfish, vain stuck up b**ch?” This is a story about Olivia Crawford, the mayor’s daughter who falls for the “mechanic’s son” Calum Breen. **If you have an aversion to child abuse please be aware this could cause triggers**.
Humiliating Revenge is a contemporary romance novel by T. Christensen. Olivia is in love with Calum, she always has been since their painful break up 4 years before. Olivia broke Calum’s heart but what he doesn’t know is she also broke her own in the process. Now he is back in her life, but things have changed. Neither of them are the same as they were before. Calum is a hardened fighter, at the top of his game in MMA and he is after his revenge. He is back in town and isn’t going to let Olivia forget what she did to him, but he doesn’t know the whole story.
Humiliating Revenge is a wonderful romance novel, your heart breaks for the characters and what they have been through. I wanted to stand up for Olivia and scream at Calum for not noticing. I give a massive thumbs up to any book that can pull me in that way. Definitely recommend to other lovers of this genre.
When your dumped in the most humiliating way in high school from the girl you thought you would spend the rest of your life with it cuts you to the bone, but when Calum comes back to his home town to confront the spoilt brat Olivia something is just not right but Calum can’t quite put his finger on it.
Olivia has a secret that nobody knows, she had to let Calum go although’s many years ago to protect him and his family. The hurt from that day stays with her always but he will be the only boy/man she will ever truly love.
The story opens a few years on from High School when Olivia goes to see Calum in his first major MMA fight near her home town but this is no reunion she is in the shadows as she has always been watching his career, he has never left her heart but they just can’t be together or he and his family will be in peril.
Calum decides to track Olivia down to humiliate her just as she did although’s years ago in school, making him think he was not good enough for her but now he has the money and the celebrity he will show her and rub that stuck up nose it. Once he locates her in the local bar working something does not seem right, with the feelings for her still strong he tries to rekindle the relationship but with Olivia blowing hot and cold all the time he can’t quite put his finger on it.
I loved this story, the vulnerable side to Olivia your heart could just break for her, wishing Calum would take that big head of his out of his backside and see the whole story but of course it takes his Dad to bring the whole thing to light. I would love to have learnt what happened to Mayor Crawford and how the relationship between Shelly and Eric turns out but I will have to read more of the stories to find out if this continues. I thought the whole telling of the interactions between Olivia and her father were hard to read but the writing was brilliant. I look forward to reading more by this author and recommend this story.
Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen
4 of 5 Stars
This contemporary YA romance by author T. Christensen sent me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it, it’s so much more than an enemies to lovers story. The book had me hooked from page one due to its fast paced storyline and great characters. Rich, snooty, spoiled town princess Olivia Crawford was ‘famous’ for being all those things whilst Calum Breen was the easy-going, adored high school athlete. Having been childhood sweethearts, Olivia then not only ended the relationship with Calum but did so in such a way that his humiliation at her hands and anger drove him away and he joined the MMA. Now successful as a MMA fighter, Calum is back in town and as he is no longer the love struck boy he once was is determined to get his revenge on Olivia. However the more he learns about the mayors daughter the more he realises things are not as they seem. This book definitely has a “Hot Alpha Male and a Determined Heroine”, I loved Olivia and Calum as the main characters and their chemistry sizzled off the page leading to some steamy moments. I thought the storyline of Olivia being abused by her controlling father was dealt with sensitively and realistically and gave the story added depth than just another teenager romance.
The book was full of twists and turns and unexpected secrets coming to light which kept me turning the pages and I was immersed in Olivia and Calum’s world. I was cheering them on to a HEA. A great read and the first book I’ve read by this author and I now look forward to reading other books by T. Christensen.
It took me a few chapters to get into this book, but once I did, it hooked me. The one thing that could have been different is that, while I love a good sex scene, the ones in this book seemed to go on for too long. Or, maybe it was just the timing or the way they are written that throws you out of the moment. I think this particular story could have carried itself without the extended physical interaction.
The characters and the plot are great. You get emotionally invested in the push and pull between Olivia and Calum as they start unraveling the past. The villain character is disturbing and is part of what truly makes this story so intense.
Overall, good read.
Olivia Crawford is a shy, quiet girl with few friends. It might have a little, or a lot with being the Mayor’s daughter. Calum Breen is the popular high school jock. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after right? That is not so much the case with this story. All her life Olivia had certain expectations that she needed to abide by in order to remain on her fathers good side. Dating Calum wasn’t one of them. Her father needed her to break up with Calum and in order to get his way he threatened to ruin the Breen family. Fast forward several years and Olivia is in college, working at a bar. Calum is living it up making the big bucks as an MMA fighter, his dream job. Fate brings the two of them together and they can’t seem to fight their attraction. Calum wants to hate her, has tried to hate her for years, but every instinct he has when it comes to her goes against that. Olivia wants desperately to make things right, but knows that she can’t let things go too far for fear of her father finding out and ruining the man that she loves. How far can her father push her before she finally breaks? Will Calum stop his quest for revenge of his high school humiliation? Everyone has limits on how far they are willing to go or be pushed.
OH MY GOD! What an amazing book! Humiliating Revenge is written by, T. Christensen. This is such a great story of rekindled love. Olivia is the Mayor’s daughter and lives by a severe set of rules. Calum has such a great heart but doesn’t come from the right kind of breeding. These two met in high school and after a very public and very humiliating break up, Calum HATES her for what he thought she is, which is a spoiled rich B*****! Olivia basically lives a nightmare that she believes will never end. That is until five years later when these to meet up again. Now, Calum who has achieved fame and success wants to humiliate her like she did him so many years ago. However, that completely back fires and the real truth comes out. This was an amazing story with so many twists and turns and all you want to do is keep on reading! The steamy sexy scenes are fire hot! And of course, the happily ever after makes you warm and fuzzy inside. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone! It’s going to be one of my go to books when I want to read something that most hated character becomes one of your favorites and where a true love occurs. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Humiliating Revenge by T. Christensen was a great 5 star read.
We start with Olivia sneaking away to go see an MMA fight. He doesn’t know she is there, seeing him brings back so many memories for her. After the fight she heads to work. Little did she know that things were going to quickly change for her.
Calum is someone from her past that she had to push away to keep him safe, in doing so she caused him to hate her. He has now made it as an MMA fighter and is doing very well for himself. When Olivia comes face-to-face with him at the bar she interns and works at, she can see the hatred in his eyes. He is absolutely cruel to her.
Calum can’t resist the pull and he decides he needs to talk to Olivia. You can feel the attraction between them coming off the pages. We get some steamy moments between them. Olivia tries to keep him at arms length but he refuses to let her. There is something going on with her and Calum’s protectiveness is kicking in. What will happen when Olivia’s secrets come out?
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
Overall this was a great read. My heart broke for Olivia and what she had endured at the hands of her father. We get some twists and turns that will pull you right in. The secondary characters were great as well. I really loved this couple and I look forward to reading more from this author.
This was a great love story. Humiliating Revenge by T.Christensen, is not a story for the under 18 crowd. More hot and steamy than I care for but you may be a little different. It doesn’t start out as a love story, almost a hate story, but there’s always the back story. Always a little more going on than you see on the surface. Liv and Calum have great chemistry, but they are both so good at cutting their own throats. These two don’t need enemies they are their own worst enemy. One has too much pride and the other carries too much shame. The characters are great, and the background that the author uses with Mixed Martial Arts makes for quite an interesting and creative tale.
****4 Stars****
Humiliating Revenge by T. Christensen
Humiliating Revenge is a contemporary young adult romance that has passion, romance, action, hidden secrets, and a little danger. Calum and Liv fell for each other in high school, but that wasn’t meant to be due to them both being from such different backgrounds, or so it seemed. There’s always more to the story. This book follows them both as they cross paths again and challenge (and frustrate) each other due to unresolved feelings and Calum’s desire to get revenge for being made a fool of in the past by Liv. The story was good and played out like a movie that needs the tag line “things aren’t always what they seem
Humiliating Revenge by T. Christensen was a great read! I was immediately captured from the first page and I couldn’t put this story down until I finished it all. I feel like there should be a content warming in the beginning however, as several parts of the story are graphic and could potentially be triggers. It was a great story, with a great plot, amazing characters and overall really well written. This is the first novel I’ve read by Christensen and I can’t wait to read more in the future!
