How does a bad day get worse, you ask?Well… sentient, so that’s good. But they’re also handsy. Which is… complicated.
The military isn’t looking for him. Slaves taken by the bug race never come back. Yet, Carter is very much alive, and if he wants to stay that way, he’ll need to trust Pykh and Siel, two affectionate aliens with claws, teeth, and size.

Audio/ebook review
What the heck did I just read, and why the heck did I enjoy it so much.
I didn’t really know what this book was about, however watching a friends audible updates on Facebook made me curious.
And I am glad that I decided to read this.
In its parts, this book shouldn’t be good. Space cats, aliens, kink between the two. Nope, this shouldn’t work.
But it does, and it does it well.
Amusing, entertaining and just a whole lot of “this doesn’t make sense” had me extending my walks so I could listen to just one more chapter. I ran out of time to listen yesterday, so I laid on the couch and read the last 25% instead, as I needed to know what would happen.
I loved the narration (don’t I always when it is Joel?)
Now I have a dilemma, do I start book 2 now, or wait until book 3 is out?
Carter is a Space Marine and engineer. He knows how to fight, he knows how to fix ships, and he knows how to survive. What he doesn’t know how to do is be a slave, but luck is on Carter’s side. Pykh and Siel, two aliens who are enslaved by the bug race as well, are there to help Carter out. To Pykh and Siel, Carter is a highly desirable omega who has to be protected at all cost. He looks dainty, vulnerable, and powerless. It is their duty to serve him and protect him. As they get to know each other, both Carter, Pykh, and Siel will need to rely on each other as much as possible in order to survive and escape.
This book was absolutely fabulous. I’ve read it two times already and I can’t get enough of it nor this series. I admire Carter’s confidence and innovation. He’s not a pushover, but he’s also not afraid of being sweet and tender with Pykh and Siel. Siel is an amazing warrior. He’s the foundation of the triad and the mentor Pykh so desperately needs. Pykh has never known anything but slavery, but he thirsts for more. The bond between the three of this characters is fierce and strong.
This book was a five star read for me. I love the story, I adore the characters, and I think the writing was very well done. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet sounds like a bit of erotica. But when I read the blurb, it captured me instantly. The book was a charming surprise, considering the title and cover.
The human mc, who finds himself a slave and protected by two overly friendly aliens, has a great sense of humor. What could be a very dark subject is rather light with his brand of self-deprecating sarcasm and endless hope. The aliens, too, are quite sweet, with only good intentions, though their cultures and beliefs are very different from humans and they believe him to be their “omega.” Luckily for our guy, omegas are protected, loved, and practically worshiped by the aliens on the planet, so he’s in good hands. The slavers are invaders who have overtaken most of the planet and enslaved many of the indigent populations, and there’s plenty of action as our guys and his alien boyfriends escape captivity.
This book has humor, action, and romance. It’s really the whole package. There are three books in the series so far, and the world-building just gets better and better with each one. I read all three back to back, and there’s one more coming. From the charm of watching aliens and a human who cannot even speak to one another fall in love to the excitement of battles with bug-like creatures, this series has so much more than I expected!
Give it a chance. I think you’ll be glad you did.
Space cats meet space marine while enslaved by horrid bugs. What can you not like about this story? It’s fresh, it’s fun, and it’s terribly romantic! It just gets better and better. Audio version is such fun too!
I was very surprised to discover this little jewel. Imagine a science fiction m/preg novel? Especially involving an MIA army engineer who is captured by his arch enemies that are sentient insectoids. He ends up in a cage of two tall, strange hedgehog-like humanoids who bring him on board with them in order to keep him alive throughout a very lethally cold night for his own species. He finds himself sandwiched between these two, realizing that they are both males, and his homophobe tendencies come out in full force. Really strange? Just read it. It’s very unusual, and I’m always on the prowl for a new a different plot line. This book was worth the purchase!
